"Keep the witch in place for me!" you call, focusing on its sword. "It'll only take a moment!" Mami nods and wraps the witch in a ribbon. She then covers its hood, complete with a bow in front of its nonexistent face.
You go for Absolute Zero, diving at the wax sword a few times. It covers it in frost, and the sword shatters... only for witch to reform the weapon above it. The sword goes at you, and you roll out of the way, careful not to fall into the darkness of the labyrinth.
However, the witch sends a glob of wax at your arm holding the Keyblade and WOW, that hurt. You now have a second-degree burn on your upper right arm. The witch flies at Mami with its sword, prepared to decaptitate her, and she counters by shooting the witch in the face.
Though it's slower, the witch is still charging. But Mami's one step ahead of it, and she blasts the witch out of the air. It looks at you now, and tries attacking with molten wax again. A bullet breaks through the wax, and another ribbon wraps around the witch. However, it still slices through it with its sword.

Obviously, the dice recognize that Mumi is Best Girl.
That said, I'm happy to see that the Proud PMMM Quest Traditoon of witches with absurd rolls is still alive.

Seems like Dice are the main reason why the Witch ain't dead yet. Just gotta keep on persevering then.

Raising your Keyblade into the air with your left arm, you cast Cure to numb the pain. Though there's still a painful sting in your arm, you try focusing onto it for another Shotlock. The witch evades your first lunge with Absolute Zero, but you counter with another one that slams into the witch's cloak, sending it towards the floor.
The witch blocks your next lunge, and you do yet another counter. This one has even more force in it, and you make the witch go sliding into the shadows. With that, a friggin' cannon appears next to you. "Tiro Finale!" Mami shouts, before firing directly into the witch with a loud BOOM!
At last, the witch stops moving. The wax sword melts, and the cloak fades away. All the candles go out. Then, thw labyrinth disperses around you, revealing the waterside path you were at earlier. A black orb with a pointed bottom and a flame at the top is in the grass. "This is a Grief Seed," explains Mami. She picks the orb up, and her uniform disappears, being replaced by what she was wearing when you met her. "It's what that witch hatched from."
She made an egglike stone appear in her hand. You notice it's a bit more dim than when you saw it in the labyrinth. "What's that?" you ask.
"A Soul Gem," Kyubey says to you. "It gives magical girls great durability."
Mami nods. "Indeed. It allows me to have more defense. witches. Now, do you see how my Soul Gem's become a bit more dim?" She places the Grief Seed against the Soul Gem, and it becomes brighter, while some black specks go into the Grief Seed. "I need to cleanse my Soul Gem every so often. If it goes completely dim, I won't be able to transform until it's cleansed."
She gives the Grief Seed to Kyubey, who puts it on his back. It then sinks into his fur. "I shall dispose of this properly. Thank you," he says.

You cast Cure on yourself to try and get rid of the last of the stings from your fight with that witch. It stops stinging, at least. Your shoulder's still a bit red. "Let's get back to the tour, I guess?" you ask Mami. She nods at you, and begins leading you past the lake.
"Over there is probably some of the best ice cream in Mitakihara," Mami explains to you, pointing at a stand as the landscape becomes more urban. That gets your attention. You wonder if it's as good as the ones from Disney Town, but you don't want to be disrespectful to Mami.
You're still walking parallel to the river, but the hill with the wind turbines is behind you. She gestures at a large building in the distance, and you pass by a fountain with water that changes color and owl statues in it. "That's the hospital. Kyubey sometimes goes there."
"There are times that individuals with the potential to become magical girls visit this locale," Kyubey adds. He talks so scientifically, yet he sounds like a kid. It's kinda weird.
"The school I attend isn't that far from here, and my apartment is nearby as well," Mami continues. "You're welcome to stay if you don't have a hotel room. I have a spare futon in case a friend wants to sleep over. Now then, do you have any questions?"
"Yeah, one..." you say. "Are you the only one with a Soul Gem here?"
"The only other magical girl in Mitakihara City currently is Homura Akemi," Mami answers. She puts her Soul Gem away, which transforms into a ring. "Miss Akemi transferred into the school I attend a few days ago. However, magical girls can become territorial."
"Wait, whaddya mean by 'territorial?'" you ask. "Do they go into labyrinths and stop other magical girls from getting Grief Seeds?"
The blonde nods. "Yes, Grief Seeds are a major source of competition between them," she explains. "Strangely enough, Miss Akemi did not intervene with the witch we just came across."
"Maybe she already collected some Grief Seeds beforehand?" you muse. "Was she a magical girl when you first met her?"
"Yes, but I first met her after she attacked Kyubey."
You look at Kyubey, who's been walking aside you. "Are you alright?" you ask him in concern.
"I am," he says. "I must thank Madoka Kaname for helping me."
"Who?" you wonder.
"I met Madoka only two days ago, when she and her friend Sayaka were attacked by familiars after saving Kyubey," Mami says to you. "Both of them are aware of magic, and Kyubey offered to make contracts with them to become magical girls."
"In exchange, I will grant any single wish for them," Kyubey tells you. You w- "And no, they cannot wish for more wishes." Dammit.
