Warhammer: Tragedy on Ullanor [ Concluded ]

Primary Claim: I LEGION, 'Dark Angels', led by Lion El'Jonson. Currently campaigning in the Segmentum Pacificus.
I'm interested in exploring Lion's feelings on being passed over for Warmaster.

Secondary Claim: XV LEGION, 'Thousand Sons', led by Magnus. Currently on a chartering mission of the space near the anomaly known locally as the Eye of Terror. The Primarch and his First Captain have departed with the Emperor for Nikea.

ROSTER

"Failure", a haunting painting rendered by leftenant Arsenius Nevdokimov depicting the fallen Horus and an Astartes named Garviel Loken.
The Emperor had ordered the image's destruction, but it remains unchanged on Macragge's Honour.

For those who aren't paying attention to the Discord but are in the game; the deadline for ALL orders is on the 18th April, 23:59 GMT. I've been covering military campaigns dictated by a couple (literally) of people and I hope to do more the rest of the week.

Well if no one else feels like jumping into the role of grim, bitter and pysker -phobic then I will try and give it a whirl. I did enjoy the look inside his head offered by The Buried Dagger.

Mortarion of the Fourteenth Legion - Death Guard

The Emperor (may he fall) has freshly reminded Mortarion would be hero of Barbarus of his true nature: a warp sick witch, a thief of fame and a false faced puppet master whose own ambitions and desires overshadow all things.

Horus who alone the Lord of the Death Guard respected has fallen, his brothers of blood but little else twist shaken in the wind their conviction corroding under the actinic brilliance of the Emperor's true nature and now the Death-Lord's grand ambition to see witch-kind purged from humanity has been delayed.

The Pale King seethes but he will endure, if he could die from spite alone he would have done so long before now. One door closes but others are opening and while there is life in his flesh he will not be denied.

That was quick, looking for a new SANGUINIUS now. You'll be able to hop in after the update if you do get the job, though I won't be stopping you from RPing around before that.

Edit: It should also be said that it is less than 24 hours before the deadline.

I would like to ask for the position! I was incredibly disappointed that I missed the first round of applications.

I mean... I'll make a claim at the Hawk Boy, this does seem to be going very interesting.

IX LEGION
Blood Angels
Primarch: Sanguinius

Distraught at the loss of his dear Brother and Friend, Sanguinius now takes up a new drive to help Mankind and the Imperium. But deep in his being he feel his doubts and fears grow, will he share a similar fate, what of his legion, will they be put down for their dark flaw?

These Fears he hides and buries deep inside himself, as he is a Primarch and he must be better, for the lost, for his Brothers, For the Emperor and for the people of the Imperuim.

Drop a claim then, my friend, I cannot simply give and take.
First Claim: Legion IX - Blood Angels

Sanguinius in this universe is in a bit of an odd situation. I think I plan to play him as a Primarch who above all else now feels deeply and incredibly alone in the universe. Horus was the one primarch who he ever admitted the existence of the Red Thirst to and he's no longer alive. There's no other being in the galaxy that he feels safe showing anything other than a perfect image of strength and wisdom. This also explains why he refused the title of Warmaster. Although many might think it was due to humility, the deep truth is that Sanguinius feared he was not in fact worthy of the title and that by taking the title and then failing, it would bring scrutiny upon his sons. And deep down he knows while he wouldn't sacrifice anyone to save his sons, he would sacrifice himself in a heartbeat to cure them of the curse he fears himself responsible for.

"Raldoron. You are now my first captain. Before you depart, humor your father and listen to my words." Sanguinius glances at the Blood Angels below the fortress they stood in, a mixture of love and pity flashes across his face.

"You are on a path of incredible power... a path that I began long, long ago. There will be strength, victory, triumph... everything a commander of soldiers should expect."

"But there was also pain... Had I another century to describe it. I could not explain to you the punishing agony of my love. Our legion is our family and my Blood Angels, my sons. Every gutting, every torn limb, every death... The harm inflicted on our brothers... At times I felt it inflicted upon myself as well. You must be prepared for that."

"Power is no matter of personal glory. It touches all who follow you. When you rise to your rank, you will not be alone. There will be others who look to you. You will be responsible for them in...in more ways than you can know. Take care of them all. Depend on each other, but harden yourself to accept the burden of your rank. Devotion will cut deeper than any bolter."

Both are good claims for sure, but I would have to opt for @Lucienz - on the condition that you're more willing to accept that Sanguinius will probably be an RP heavy role, less on the mechanical aspects, given his role as the 'most likeable primarch'

First update covering 001.M31 is up after a brief delay. Looking for a new Khan player.

(Third times the charm, I guess)
V LEGION
White Scars
Primarch: Jaghatai Khan

Jaghatai Khan felt a great unease in himself, his father commanded that one as great as Horus be forgotten. This sat ill with the Khan as his honor dictates that two things be done, that his fallen brother be remembered for his deeds for the Imperium and it's people, and that vengeance be done on the foul cowards who dared to fell Horus in such a manner. But for now he must hunt down the remnants of Horus's last great foe and show that the Imperium will not falter to Horus's loss. But make no mistake, those who killed Horus will pay for their actions, this the Khan swears on his life.

Due to time constraints with my course work, and mostly being detached from the IC going on in discord, I am dropping out as Russ. I think this is a wonderful game that ought to deserve a more attentive player than me as the Wolf King. Best of luck with the game everyone.

"Have ye no wolves!?"
