Warcraft: The Rise of the Mag'har

Alright, here's my plan for this turn
Martial-2
[X]Hunting Parties - Windrocs
[X]Hunting Parties - Elekk
The first trains our archers and improves them, while the second also improves our archers, while also gaining us bones netter suited for fine work. Both improve food intake.
Diplomacy-1
[X]Blackrock Loyalty
Let's get people's confidence in us up high.
Stewardship-1
[X] Talbuk Farms
This does everything that Boar Farms does, while ALSO starting to change orcish culture. That is definitely a thing we should get started on.
Intrigue-1
[X]Shadow Council Keep Away
Protecting holy places and screwing over enemies in one action? MUST HAVE.
Personal Action-2
[X]Battling Grief-Bargaining and Depression
[X]Mogor
The first gets us an a path to beating our depression, which is something we will need to do soon. Also, we might be able to help Garrosh. The second has the potential to gain us allies and screw over our enemies at the same time.
So, comments, questions, criticisms?

Hmm.

I do wish we could keep tabs on Kargath, because that would lead us to Hellfire Penninsula, which might let us eventually make contact with the Alliance Expedition, because they're still hanging out either there or in Terrokar if I'm not mistaken. But telling the Shadow Council to fuck off is priority one.

[x]Hunting Parties - Windrocs: Time: 1 Year. Reward: +500 Hunting Income per turn.
[x]Hunting Parties – Elekk: Time: 1 Year. Reward: Hunting Income +500 per turn.

Double archery, double income with a side-dish of shamanism.
[x]Blackrock Loyalty: Time: 2 Years. Reward: Blackrock grow actually loyal to Dranosh rather than to the ties of the Blackrock. Chance for Success: 85%.

I don't think going Rule of Strength in our current state of depression is a great idea... that said, we do need internal prestige. If the blacksmiths(who form a large part of our populace) supports us. that will help.
[x]Talbuk Farms: Cost: 500. Time: 1 Year. Reward: Small Talbuk Farms set up in Garadar. +500 Farming Income per turn. Garadar less in danger of straining supplies. A single tiny step towards changing orcish culture.
Culture change and income. Will help our mental state and work towards industrialization
[x]Shadow Council Keep Away: Cost: 500. Reward: Shadow Council kept out of Oshu'gun, for now.
Don't want to sabotage our chances of reconnecting to the spirits, I want my Piety options so we can better combat the demon threat and this seems like the way to do it.
[x]Battling Grief: Time: 1 Year. Reward: Path to Acceptance Stage of Grief begun.
[x]Mogor: Reward: Small Mission Turns. Potential to remove Mogor from ruling over Laughing Skulls. Potential to gain Laughing Skull Clan.

Removing Mogor seems like an impressive deed on its own.
Also, life sucks, lets get over it
Lastly, Hunter trait tends to decrease diplomacy in most other threads, need to see the stats on it to be swayed tbh.

Martial:
[X]Hunting Parties - Windrocs
[X] Scouting South
Find out what there is before it bites us. Always a good idea.

Diplomacy:
[X] Ugh…Boulderfist's?
Because the Boulderfists were likely known for many things, two of which were not patience and intelligence. I can understand the other reasonings though.

Stewardship:
[X] Talbuk Farms
Income, and changing Mag'Har culture.

Intrigue:
[X]Shadow Council Keep Away
Because Fuck Demons and those who worship them.

Personal Action:
[X]Battling Grief-Bargaining and Depression
[X]Mogor
Depression is bad, and getting rid of this Mogor will both help us get the Laughing Skulls, and might boost our reputation.

I think fighting Mogor might be best left to next year. If we wait a year we sharpen our skills, gain numbers from recovery from sickness get better equipment and are more focused. Doing it now might be our frustration doing our thinking instead of using our brain.

[X] Hunting Parties – Elekk
[X] Scouting South
Equipment for our archers and see if there are more problems on the horizon (as far as we still have one of those).

[X] Blackrock Loyalty
Loyalty from our own clan is the logical starting point for getting ourselves actual authority.

[X] Boar Farms
Changing our culture is nice when we can afford a bit of disgruntlement. Currently we can't afford the internal conflict.

[X] Shadow Council Keep Away
Keeping the warlocks out of Nagrand seems like an excellent idea. Especially if this "barrier" will keep us from getting rid of them later.

[X] Prove Yourself
[X] Battling Grief – Bargaining and Depression
Get ourselves sorted out. And grab an relatively easy trait bonus before we start conflicts.

Guys, while battling Grief is good and all, we need to get people to see us a worthy leader first. Most people doubt us, we /need/ to put a stop to that.

To me this is a "strike while the iron's hot" kind of thing, the wound is fresh, it'll hurt less if we come to terms with it now.

Garrosh gets -5 to all stats because of his depression, I don't want us slipping as well.

Also, killing a huge ogre is pretty badass in and of itself.

True, but being a badass fighter doesn't mean we're a worthy leader. Proving ourself shows that we contribute to the clan. We do want to move away from the violet Orc culture, after all.

Being a badass fighter at this point in time does pretty much exactly mean we're a worthy leader.

It's one of the things we're trying to shift our culture away from.

I thought it was the green orcish culture we we were moving away from.

More seriously though, while decisively defeating Mogor would help our leadership credit a failure to do so (or even winning with to many losses) would break us right there and then. This isn't really a time for shouting our name at the top of our lungs and charging the first enemy that presents itself.

uh.

I guess you don't know what Mak'gora is.

It wouldn't be a case of you throwing your limited warriors against Mogor. It would be a case of you challenging him to this.

As is proved in canon, Mogor is perfectly willing to do big duel things, as shown by the big'ol dueling ring thing that got set up in Nagrand way later.

We need to bulk up and get over our depression before we start fighting Mogor. Once we get the Hunter trait and take the first step to getting better we can challenge him for leadership.

He's an ogre mage so I figured he'd cheat like a complete SOB along with constantly using magic which we can't defend against.

An ogre mage is still an ogre, they just happen to be smarter and a lot craftier than regular ogres even before we get into their magical capabilities.

He was strong to begin with, he's just got the brains to go with it. Although you do raise a fair point (I'd go into more detail, but that would be getting into potential spoilers.)

For Martial. I actually think we definitely need to take a scouting action. Information i key after all. So it's better to know of threats beforehand so we can work around them
Not sure what to hunt though. Leaning towards the windroc though to boost our shamans. Because let's face it. They need all the help they can get.

Not sure what to choose for diplomacy actually.

Stewardship. Probably talbuk. Do need to start uniting the orcish people so might as well.

Intrigue. Definitely Oshu'gan. The orcs didn't listen to the Draenei partly Because of Oshu'gan. It's that sacred. Besides, we might meet a naaru early. And that's always nice.

For personal - Definitely barter and grief. Not sure what to do for the other personal.

He is a superior of orcs. You are the current Warchief of the Mag'har, aka orcs.

It's finagely, and the real determinants of what the duel encompasses and of who and about what seem to be slightly nebulous for different clans.

It's how Mogor took control, though I'll tell you straight up in RoM canon he totally cheated Magatha Grimtotem style and poisoned his weapon beforehand with a special evil deadly thing given to him by Gul'dan.

Essentially, what it boils down to, is a challenge for leadership.

I challenge you for leadership of the Laughing Skulls. Do you accept, or are you a scared little bitch?
