[X] I feel like theres something we're missing from the area we just left. A diversion?

Also are there any minor benefactions for fan art?

[X] The Undersiders are based in old brick factory, Redmond Welding. That is on the Eastern part of the Docks. They have no backup site.
-[X] This is a distraction. There is no one watching our former location anymore. I suspect Coil is planning something.
--[X] Also, the Ruby Dreams Casino is one of Lung's places, so the robbery is probably serving more than one purpose at once.

I mentioned Coil as he is the one with ties to the Undersiders. It is information almost unknown that would go along way to proving we are a Thinker. Notice that Armsmaster is growing skeptical and we need to work on proving our abilities if we want to be listened to later on in the truly important events.
Simple. Something has to be motivating the Undersiders to risk death by giant fire dragon.

It ain't the Empire, nor the Merchants, Faultline wouldn't get anything out of it, so it leaves the only guy left in town....

I think the Coil mention is clumsy.

Well, there are vote options that state that the crime was a diversion without mentioning Coil.

I just prefer trying to foil Coil to capturing the Undersiders.

[X] In the eastern part of the Docks, about twenty minutes' walk from the old ferry is an old red-brick factory labeled 'Redmond Welding'. You have a sneaking suspicion that some criminals are based there.

[x] You're not confident, but why not try chasing the baddies? If she's sighted, you'll be closer. The police and PRT can take statements.

[X] This robbery was either a show of force, or a distraction for another crime. Relay that people should keep an eye on anything that coincides with the robbery, such as a disappearance.

[X] Chase the baddies but do not engage. Stick to the shadows and update on your position constantly.

Quick plug for a neat promising quest: Pawn is a new case 53 quest - more faithful to canon in that it doesn't really mess with Brockton Bay. Original city, original plot, interestingly set post-Echidna, with a neat Cauldron prologue. It's very promising, and really deserves more voters. Or just readers. :)

Back to affairs of Voracity! It's pretty clear Skye's laser-guided hunches are pointing Armsmaster at the Undersiders (41 votes, wow!).

As for the other part, right now, we have 21 votes for 'check previous area, hint at Coil', 18 votes for 'check previous area, but don't name Coil'. I'm not sure if the distinction is important to voters, nor am I sure if it'll end up having consequences, but it's the kind of thing that very well may. I'll give voters a little while to edit their votes if they want to.

This is unrelated to the topic, but Purim in 2011 was in March 20th. Does Skye have a costume?

Skye is the costume! The Protectorate will be selling Cirrata onesies very soon, I'm sure.

Definitely, but I'm still thinking about where I should set the bar for fanart, and how. I'm not a great judge of artwork or the effort that went into it. I'm afraid it's going to be fairly arbitrary, but I do intend to reward obvious effort. (And multiple smaller pieces from one user would also add up to a benefaction.)

This is a bone Lyova tossed us. Just take it. >3>

It's information that I previously promised to (occasionally) give you. Not necessarily tasty. Be sure to consider:

1) exactly what are you seeing?
2) would you gain from acting on it?

Not a trap per se, but just remember who you're dealing with. Anything you do risks giving him information.

[X] Also, the Ruby Dreams Casino is one of Lung's places, so the robbery is probably serving more than one purpose at once.
Simple. Something has to be motivating the Undersiders to risk death by giant fire dragon.

Be careful there. Considering territory, and how this isn't a typical crime for the Undersiders (who tangle with the ABB regularly), does it make sense for Lung to own the Ruby Dreams casino? :p

Because Super Motorbike and guy who can fly are totally different as far as pursuits are concerned.
When they're of similar speeds, which I believe they are, although I don't have proof of that, they really are quite different. Guy who can fly tends to be able to get places in half the distance given straight lines over buildings, and also doesn't make a noise the Thinker can notice five minutes out and tell which direction it's coming from.

I will switch to the nonCoil vote

*grumbles*

There kind of is. Armsmaster's bike is fast, but not as fast as Velocity or Dauntless, even if we're not factoring in the ease of maneuvering that comes with being airborne. On top of that, Bitch's dogs are also capable of scaling buildings, which Armsmaster's bike... probably can't do. (Not ruling it out because fucking tinkers.)

"According to the news and my, um, inside source," Lisa spoke, referring to her power, "Purity hasn't stopped. She's doing strafing runs across the Docks. She moves too fast for anyone but Dauntless or Velocity to catch, and she hits harder than both of them combined. She's knocked down four more buildings while we've talked, I'm pretty sure. How long before she happens to knock over our hideout?"

However the most important thing is 'Can the bike outpace the dogs?'.

--[X] It might not be Coil though, we're not that sure on that part.

Because we don't know for sure that it was Coil. Sure, we highly suspect it and it probably is, but we don't know for certain and we don't want to discredit our self if it turns out to be someone else.

In straight lines, when he knows where they're going? Probably. With the mobility advantage that comes from being able to go across buildings and Grue blocking them from sight, probably not, especially when they have a head start.
Blocking from sight is relative. No the heroes can't see them, but they can easily follow the trailing cloud of impossibly black smoke, escape is just not possible while they're relying on it and in canon they do not.

As far as being able to get around buildings more easily, partially true, this is an advantage that they have over Velocity so it's questionable from the start. To make it even more unsteady Cirrata easily trumps the dogs in that respect and I doubt the dogs can travel at 30 odd mph either.

My hands were gripping the straps we'd fitted her with, the only thing from keeping me tumbling backwards, head over heels, as she lunged forward at run that would probably outpace any cars on the road

Aegis would have climbed out of the rubble by now, flown up for a bird's eye view. If Grue was doing what we'd planned, he was filling every street and side street we passed with darkness. Aegis couldn't see where or if we doubled back or what streets we took, so he could only identify our location by the places where fresh darkness appeared. If he tried to close in to get us, though, we'd be gone by the time he reached us. All he could do was follow our general location.
The Undersiders are pretty good at the whole escape shtick. Dauntless and Armsmaster were able to catch up to them after the fundraiser crash because the former is a very fast flier, and the latter could see through Grue's darkness at the time.

Okay. I totally underestimated the amount of darkness Grue could make while travelling at high speeds. Point Kyakan.

However the most important thing is 'Can the bike outpace the dogs?'.

With Avalon in town, and more importantly access to PHQ paperwork and cameras, Tattletale knows where the heroes are scheduled to patrol. Her speed consideration was 'how fast will the heroes get from there to here', not heroes racing against Bitch's doggos. :p She planned to be gone before the heroes got to the casino.

(She succeeded. Without a write-in, you'd have gotten the canon outcome of the Undersiders getting away, because Cirrata doesn't change that.)
