WARNING : Bullying, PTSD

Her steps are a lot more heavier as she arrives at Winslow. Looking at the hallways where many students are talking whatever they wanted to talk about, Taylor felt a bit apprehensive to move forward.

'... They won't do it right?'

Monday. A day that she always dreaded. It's the day when the Trio does something more after the weekend. Taylor thinks it was because they are trying to keep with the days that passed. Or maybe it's because they are just that petty.

She took a gulp of air, and took a slow step forward. This later on became a hurried one as she quickly goes to her class.

The morning just passed without anything drastic happening. The only thing that her bullies did are just throwing some spitballs on her hair.

She quickly goes to the cafeteria, get pass through it, then walks inside the girl's comfort room. She walks to the farthest stall and enters there before locking it herself.

Though, she didn't really come here to take care of her business. Her hands moves through her bag and take out the boxed meal that First and the others made for her.

It is still warm, likely because this boxed seems insulated. It can somehow store heat inside it. Despite that, the exterior is cool to the touch, so her hands are not blistering.

Taylor opened it to see burgers, french fries, and a healthy dose of ketchups.

'I wonder why they kept giving me fast food?' She held a wry grin as she took the warm burger out of the lunch box.

She took a bite, eating alone while sitting on the cubicle. 'I hope they don't notice.' She thought to herself.

She has been eating here since then, starting on Friday last week. She felt safe here, her bullies haven't found out that she has been eating here to avoid them.

Though, it seems like that time has come to an end as she heard some giggling on the distance. Her hands froze on the burger she is eating as she heard the door slams to this room. Like on purpose, three sets of feet comes in front of her location and stops just in front of the door.

She heard the sound of the door clicking and then pushing, so she decided to stay quiet. But they kept trying to push themselves there, and in fear of it going off, she decided to speak.

"Occupied!"

She heard another giggle before the voice she dreaded speaks to her.

"Oh? It's Taylor! What's she doing here I wonder?"

Emma, someone she held dear on the past, saying that to her with a tone that she didn't like.

"Gosh!? Are you perhaps, eating there?"

Taylor didn't speak but hearing them laughing, she is already convinced that they know.

"Hey. Isn't it sad eating on a cubicle?" Another laugh. "Why don't you open this? We can hang out like usual!" A sickening voice, the likes that just mocks her.

There is another attempt to push the door open, but she hold onto it, not letting them open it. After five more attempts, it seems like the girls finally stop though, they are still laughing.

She wonders if they will finally leave her when she heard a sound of some plastic creaking. Being curious, she tries to peer onto below, but she can't discern what they are doing with just their feet.

Then, she felt something landing on her head. Something wiggling, and moving erratically. It felt a bit prickly in her head.

Surprised, she swiped her hand in a flail, her lunch box falling to the floor in a heap, ketchup and french fries scattered. Another thud, and her eyes widened when she saw a centipede. Another group of centipede came, wrapped inside some sort of wrapper.

Bite, hurt, locked, shouting, asking for help, bugs, hurt, harm, hurt....

A scream, she didn't know where but the only thing she can think of is to escape. She burst to the door and used her full body to push it, only to hit it like a wall, her body aching, panicking, and flailing around.

She can't hear the laughter as her eyes are glued on the centipedes slowly leaving the plastic wrapper. Her burger splattered to the floor, and it's patty being stepped on by one of those centipedes.

She smacked the door, her feet shooting through the floor, as if to distance herself from the wiggling insects.

Another attempt to push, and suddenly she has the door opened. Without thinking, she rushed out of the room in a crawl, trying and failing to stand up. In her haste, she slips on the wet floor, causing her to hit the floor in a mess.

She heard steps, before a shadow loomed on her vision.

"Oh my gosh, Taylor. What's gotten into you, screaming like that?" She heard the sweet and sickening voice of her former best friend, but she didn't manage to process it that much.

Then, something landed on her cheek. Some sort of tissue. Peeking through it is some sort of antenna.

She screamed, and tries to stand up without a care on her appearance. She heard two laughter, and one only chuckling nervously.

But she didn't care, she want to escape. To leave right now. Her bag, and her lunch totally forgotten. Her mind only focused on running. Leaving the area as fast as possible.

She didn't know when but she saw herself sitting on the bus, her head held by both of her hands. Her eyes wet, likely by her tears. She can still feel her heartbeat moving a bit faster, but it is now manageable.

She slowly raised her head and look around. There are some passengers just doing whatever, with one of them taking a glance of her before returning their gaze to the window.

Outside, she see that she is getting closer to her street. She took that time to announce herself leaving.

After the bus stops, she quickly leaves and hastily walks back to her home.

As she opened the door, her steps are hurried, going straight to her computer. Booting it up, she saw it loading before another prompt was made.

[MOTHER]

Along with that are a series of welcoming gestures by her AI.

'Calm.... calm down...' She tries to heaved a breathe, trying to stabilize herself.

[QUERY]

She tried to look on the screen, uncomprehending. After that, she realized what to do and look through the programming codes to translate it.

'They noticed it!' She thought with a frown. "Don't worry about it. I am fine."

[QUERY]

First seems to be stubborn right now. It wanted answers from her.

"I said it's fine. Let's not talk about this!" She didn't meant it, but her scream causes the computer to become idle.

[AGREEMENT]

It took awhile, but it seems like they compromised for now. Taylor felt a bit guilty at that.

"I'm sorry... I didn't... sorry." Her head bowed in shame.

[AGREEMENT]

First just accepted her words, and it's making her so guilty right now. 'They're just trying to help!' She scolded herself. She took another deep breathe before turning her focus to her AI. "Okay. How about the progress on that?"

[COMPLETED]

Hearing that, she quickly decided to focus on that.

Though, before she could do that, she heard her landline ringing. Causing her focus to go there.

With a click of her tongue, she asked them to standby as she walks there to take the call.

After grabbing the phone, she heard the words that it spoke which causes her blood to boil.

"Fuck!"

She heard the summons of her principal, asking her Dad to come here at his earliest convenience for his daughter's misconduct. Somehow, it seems like she is being accused of school vandalism and littering due to leaving insects on the bathroom, and then playing hooky.

Already, she can imagine them calling her Dad on his work numbers. They have that number, she thinks.

She can already imagine who framed her for that.

"FUCKING BITCHES!" Her gripped became tight, and causing her hand to strain for a bit. She is almost going to throw the phone, but managed to held herself back with a deep breathe.

She slowly put the phone back before going to the couch and plop herself there.

"Fuck this!" She swore and just raised her hand in frustration before stomping back to her seat and looking at her computer.

[CONCERN]

She can see her AI being worried. She decided to fix that.

"Okay. I have a request for you." She said, her eyes glinting dangerously.

She is done. She didn't want to continue like this. 'I have fucking powers! Why should I be treated this way!?' Her gaze are full of conviction. It might be illegal. This might also put her in jail. But she is going to expose them. 'It's not right to hurt them. I am better than that! It's more preferable to deal with them in my own terms!'

With that, her hands hovered through the keyboard. Her mind focused on making this right, somehow.

Sorry if this is a bit OOC. But I think, after being pushed like that, she won't just take it with her having the power to stop it.

I am sorry once again....

Oh, Entomophobia, probably due to the locker?

Well, the trio have poked the queen of the hive, and she is angry~ and absolutely fed up. Is Dragon already in Brockton Bay? She would probably notice it first if the (what do we call them? Hive? Virtual whale?) AIs are doing something obvious.

Hmm, I love fanfics where they just expose the hell out of what the bitches are doing. privacy laws be damned. come to think of it, the only time I ever liked Alec was when he puppeted Sophia into releasing all of her dirty secrets over text, etc. probably that's why?

You have nothing to realty apologize for, I think this made sense and followed a fine logic chain to get where she is. She is a teenager and will lash out but she also has the power to do something so she will at least start a plan even if she dials it back or stops herself later. I was also getting mom vibes from Taylor towards the AI's so maybe she thinks about how her actions may affect them and their growth a bit more as she cools down.

aww maan.. let's hope her little snippets will be able to hide themselves as she tries to enact her revenge.
Ugh, i expect this will not end pretty.

I do believe comes from the 'First' addressing her as Mother. That is forcing to consider how her may impact her 'children' in the long run.

The AI escalation has begun, all will fall to them
This is moment that we have all been waiting for.

@Levelgap - I can't wait to read how Taylor and her kids escalate from this point.

WARNING : Depressing

That morning, on the Hebert Residence, the Heberts entered the house with varying reactions.

The teenage girl stomping her foot while the balding old guy slowly entering it with a tense look. It is obvious that both of them are having a bad day.

"Stop right there, little girl!"

"And then what?"

The two of them glared at each other, the two not giving ground at each other.

"You don't have the right to get angry with me!" Danny gritted his teeth. "Did you hear what they're saying? You have been a problem child since the school starts! Did you even see your grade?"

"And I kept saying it's because of those bitches!"

"Language!"

"You don't have the right to tell me that!"

Their voices are going higher, their temper getting the better of them.

"What the hell happened to you? Your not like this when your a child!"

"What do you know?" She gritted her teeth. "You can't even see what's happening since then!"

"Yes. I haven't!" He took a step forward, looming over her. "But that will change now!"

Learning about the accusation to his daughter causes him to almost blow into a rage. He thought the school just did something wrong, so he didn't want to blame his only girl. Getting there and finding records of her failing grades, and almost all the students, with most of them being girls, whispering about her problems, how she's been hanging out with some gang members, and even her habit of causing a scene just to acquire attention made him almost question the world.

A few people saying it might just be fine. Everyone saying it is a red flag.

Even when he asked the teachers, trying to confirm it for himself only ended with disappointment. They either look at him in pity or they avoid their gazes at Taylor.

That's not possible. Even if this school is such a shithole, it won't just neglect one of it's student and falsify everything just to make that student miserable.

'Something is wrong, I knew it!' He kept repeating this in his mind.

He saw Emma while Taylor is somewhere, taking her stuff that she left after the Principal insists for her to take it. Emma said that Taylor has changed since then, not letting her have friends and being just violent altogether.

Danny's world turns red, and he yelled at the redhead.

"Don't you dare accuse my daughter like that!" He said, which causes the redhead to back off.

He have an inkling that her father will have words on him, but he doesn't care. That redhead just badmouthed his daughter in front of his face.

It's all hearsay, and he won't believe those rumors.

He knows her as that cheerful girl who loves talking for hours on end. Just being a kid and doing whatever. Though, he is not confident about that, having just noticed the presence of his daughter once again.

'Since she died....' He thought with a bitter taste in his mouth.

But a small amount of doubt came to her, hearing many people her daughter's age making rumors about her. The teachers are silent, and when asked forcefully, only one of them, a Ms. Gladys, answered that she is being bullied.

No one gave him names, and no one is even helping him find out. Almost every teacher on hearing range gave a stink eye on the only teacher who answered him, which almost causes his temper to rise.

Still, he is still curious, so he wanted to ask his daughter. Maybe let her tell him about those bullies.

So he confronted her, and he is surprised to see her lashing at him.

He didn't know why she would do that. He knows he hasn't been a great father, but he haven't seen her talking back since she was a child.

This turned into a conviction, and then their moods became overall worst. It spiraled down into a verbal match.

Taylor can't really help it. Hearing her Dad suddenly caring in all the wrong reasons causes her blood to boil. Her mind almost blanked out and without meaning it, she yelled at her Dad.

She is trying to apologize for that but the look he gave her almost made her anger to double. He is looking at her like he cares, when all this time, he has been drifting alone, not even doing anything until she was shoved into the locker.

In the end, it all came to this. The suspension, their mood worsening, and feeling worse as this day goes by.

Taylor wanted to lash back, but she held herself back. Though she can't but glare at his figure.

"... Your grounded! Your not going out of this house until I say so!" He said that with a look that is both clearly hurt and determined. His fist clenched, and his breathing a bit faster.

"Fine by me then!" Taylor yelled back before turning her back and stomping upstairs. Then she entered her room with a slam.

Danny just stared at the stairs in intensity. His fist still clenched and his breathing a bit erratic. He took a few more breathes before taking a long deep one and releasing it. He held his hair with his hand, feeling a headache at this event.

"God. Annette... I don't know what to do..."

'I just need to wait for it.'

That's has been her thought since she laid on her bed, wrapped in her blanket and clutching her pillow.

She focused on the noises, waiting for her Dad to leave. Her Dad still have work to do so she is just waiting for him.

She clicked her tongue at the thought of her Dad. Her pulse rising for a bit anytime she recalls him trying to lecture her.

It's like he is saying she is wrong somehow despite not doing anything. It's frustrating.

She heard the distant noise of creaking before a click. Then the sound of the truck being started before it moves out of the house. She took a bit more time lying on the bed, making sure that no one is inside the house.

After what felt like an eternity, she finally stands up and tidied up her bed. She leaves her room, goes downstairs, and then quickly goes to their old computer. Booting it up, she has been greeted by First and the others.

'I am grounded on the house, and suspended for a whole week. Perfect. I can use this to focus on what's more relevant.' She felt a bit vindictive as she started typing out texts.

She didn't have enough time yesterday typing the additional codes for the new subsets, and she can't really miss out on the principal's summons so she decided to finish this next time.

"Status of our project?"

[COMPLETED]

"Great! Let's start doing this then!"

Is this really right? She really didn't care anymore!

She has been busy making new codes, giving permissions to other proposals, and then monitoring her AIs. This almost eats up on the whole afternoon, but finally she is done.

On the new program, a faceless man and his biological diagram is being displayed. Everything, from bones, to organs, to nerves, and then muscles were completely created.

'Amazing. So with Biology, they can create a very accurate diagram of a human.' She gasps in amazement.

The only thing she needs to do is to look for a template. She can't just let First's Avatar to be a faceless guy. That would be too sad.

"But what should be a good template? There are many I can choose from!" She laid her head on her hand, her elbow leaning on the handle of her chair. 'Maybe a beefcake? No, too bulky! Then how about a handsome guy...? Nah, it doesn't suit him! What about a child? I think that would be pretty inappropriate... What if I make him white? Or maybe black?'

She looks at the many images that the many AIs have compiled for her. It ranges from different ethnicities, nationalities, and even standards for each countries.

In the end, she decided to go for a normal looking guy. Black hair, average height (5'9), average weight (181 pounds), brown skinned, blue eyes, below average lips, perfectly shaped nose, thin eyebrows, fairly oblate ears, rugged and fit body, and agile looking limbs.

"Okay." She pushed the Enter key.

After that, the fairly attractive avatar has been finished. She already told them to give it clothes before it was shown to her, so it is already wearing those clothes. The clothes are some expensive looking brands that can be easily searched on the net.

[QUERY]

"Yes. You can use it."

The suspended guy on the screen then moves, reaching out to the screen. His hand is the first thing that moves out of the screen, then his head, after that his whole body.

He steps out of the screen and then made a perfect landing on the floor, with a roll before standing up and looking at her.

".... Oh, that's a nice entrance... I think?"

[SATISFACTION]

Taylor narrowed her eyes, which made him paused before speaking.

"Thank you."

"Yeah. It still needs some work." Taylor sighs before turning to him with a smile. "Welcome to my home, First."

Opening a pocket dimension and moving things have become so easy thanks to First's help. With his avatar, he managed to move everything on that dimension in an instant.

Taylor is amazed that he can still use his supernatural capabilities even when he is anchoring an Avatar. Even when her old computer is off, the Avatar can still move around.

Inside the pocket dimension is a wide empty white room. With a flick of his finger, he somehow managed a section of a room where Taylor can use as her own workshop.

"Thanks."

"Your welcome."

Taylor felt wincing, hearing it's monotone voice. But she decided to think about it next time.

'I have created Biology, Empathy, and Broadcast subsets so he can operate his Avatar normally. I wonder what's missing?' She wonders in confusion. 'Anyway. I should think about it next time. For now, it's time to focus on one thing.' Her eyes turned to her workshop.

It's a computer set. Monitor, CPU, mouse, keyboard, speaker, webcam, printer, etc. Everything that a computer needs is in there.

"This is my workshop now. And this time, you'll have to move all your activities to that." She pointed at the new computer.

"I understand."

She still felt distracted at his lifeless tone, but he can at least speak normally, even if it's just speaking on short sentences.

Her plan is simple. After setting up her computer on this pocket dimension, she will move all activity on this place. This is to ensure that, if her AIs are ever traced, they won't be able to locate them in her world.

She didn't have to worry about the connection. Even if she close this pocket dimension, her personal internet made by Innovation and it's nodes (the minor AIs) is extradimensional. This means it can connect to other dimensions even if it's not present there.

With this factor, she can move on to her true purpose. Exposing Winslow.

She have a whole week of her. She swears to herself that she will make this right.

If this is too much drama, I am sorry about that.

I also planned to write a scene about their visit to Winslow and the ensuing angst and drama, but I got a Writer's Block. So to continue, I skipped that and go straight to the scene of them in the home.

I am sorry if I skipped that....
So @dob gave me some useful insights, so I changed some of the things that happened in this chapter.

Now instead of doubt, it's just teenage angst. Temper got the better of them and they got a verbal match. They know it is wrong, but they can't stop themselves from doing it.

They will try to reconcile to each other, but they will have to get the heart to do so. Basically, they will feel awkward talking normally again until one of them took the step to say sorry.

I hope this is acceptable...

Exposing Winslow as taking kickbacks from the PRT for housing a Ward may lead to the whole "don't expose a Ward's civilian identity" law that I heard about. After all, Sophia is a "Hero" and they may use this to bury Danny and Taylor. Unless some proof of their wrongdoing (aside from her binder and the MASSIVE amount of hatemail/bullying), they may just offer a settlement.

Just my two cents.

The thing with First's physical avatar was a little too weird for my taste

This is what I am looking forward to reading.

I don't know, I think Taylor's revenge will a lot of problems for Brockton Bay.
If the truth gets out, the PRT will be dealing the Youth Guard and the E88 will not be able to spin it in their favor.

Didn't the meeting start about taylor supposedly leaving centipedes in the bathroom?

That has absolutely nothing to do with gangs or any of the other accusations. And with those accusations its sounds more like 'she is being bullied' than 'this is totally all true.'
Especially considering the Centipedes was on the same day as they are calling about taylor leaving school....

If you want to go down this route, I'd suggest you change it so thats its just her missing alot of school. And have the school not mention the Centipedes at all.

Additionally, might want to note thats its AU in that they never poured juice or anything on her. Since that sort of thing would of been seen by teachers and would be enough to atleast make danny suspicious.

It's already implied that they punished her for that. Danny just look for a way to deny their claims, but haven't seen anything after most of the students gave false information like Taylor is a troublesome child and whatnot.

Also, the tag already stated that this is an AU.

I mean that specifically the bugs counter the claims that taylor isn't being massively bullied. Bugs being tied to taylor and to taylor leaving that day is VERY suspicious.
Also, the tag already stated that this is an AU.
I mean specifically that none of that stuff happened somewhere in the author notes or something. Because otherwise people are going to believe that stuff happened until told otherwise.
So no spitballs or juice or anything spilled on her.

Probably need to take away the locker too. The locker is Incredibly focused on one person, with needing a grab a bunch of material, targetting one specific persons locker, with a bunch of bio-hazardous material. Including leaving it in their for quite some time.
Thats not 'some random gangmember'. Thats focused targetting on one specific person.
Not to mention how taylor doesn't stay out late and didn't have anyone defending her (where even the gangs would have some normal looking teenagers.)
Also gangs don't generally do anything like that, and if they did you would expect gangs to get into a massive fight with eachover over it straight after. Neither of which would of happened.

Oh and if taylor was somehow important enough for that kind of targetting.... People would be afraid of nabbing on her.

I can see it working if you took away anything the teachers would have seen and the locker. But without taking that stuff away danny should atleast be suspicious that taylor is being bullied harshly.

They also implied that she likes making a scene, which also extended to putting herself in a locker.

It's a flimsy reason. It won't even stick if Danny is just thinking straight. But remember that he is still hung up on his wife's death despite two years passing, and have almost neglected his daughter.

Even when his attention has been put in there, he will feel lost and take the first credible source he can get. That source is coincidentally the school teachers and Emma.

He still thinks she is Taylor's best friend, and he thought the teachers won't definitely lie to him. But those are false, and most teachers (exclude some of them, like Ms. Gladys) totally ignores it even when they are nearby. Also, Emma is totally obsessed on putting down Taylor, with a nonsensical reason of making her strong, so it won't be surprising for her to just lie like this just to spite her.

... Or that's my reasoning anyway....

I mean specifically that none of that stuff happened somewhere in the author notes or something. Because otherwise people are going to believe that stuff happened until told otherwise.

Again, all hearsay from students that can be easily be doubted if Danny is thinking straight.

Sorry if I am sounding like an idiot, but that's my reasoning why this happens...

Also, Emma is totally obsessed on putting down Taylor, with a nonsensical reason of making her strong, so it won't be surprising for her to just lie like this just to spite her.
It's less nonsensical, and more insanity. Emma is legitimately mentally ill, and everyone who should've been getting her proper help didn't; Sophia makes her mental illness worse, her dad refuses to get her actual mental health care and has been shutting people out of what happened to her, the school enabling all of her behavior or looking the other way... she's basically a hot sack of crazy. It's not an excuse or anything in regards to her behavior, what she's done is still messed up, but she's not doing it because she's stupid, she's doing it because she's legitimately not thinking clearly and her mental stability is flawed at best, cracked and shakily glued back together at worst.

The fact that she's also using Taylor as a Scapegoat for her own "weaker self" from what happened during the summer is just compounding the insanity of it all; she's basically trying to make Taylor suffer for the crime of not being like Emma, whilst also trying to push Taylor into becoming just like her. Madness upon madness.

Even when his attention has been put in there, he will feel lost and take the first credible source he can get. That source is coincidentally the school teachers and Emma.
But the locker would have already happened and predisposed him to the idea that taylor is being bullied.
He still thinks she is Taylor's best friend
Emma hasn't been around in ages and isn't talking like she is taylor's friend considering she is badmouthing her.
Saying she is still taylors friend would mean Emma saying shes a gangmember if she is agreeing with the rumours and taylors friend.
And thats even assuming taylor isn't around to tell him that they aren't friends any more.
Danny is in a union. He should know that people will want to cover their ass if something went wrong on their watch.

This also requires that teachers not only be not paying much attention, but also actively lying if taylor has still been getting stuff dumped on her and spitballs in her hair.
Which they aren't particularly likely to do, given that lying about that could get them in huge legal trouble if someone blabs down the line.

I could see teachers lying about and ignoring taylor being surrounded and what they are saying to taylor. But lying about taylor having clothes ruined etc. is another matter all together. Even if they might downplay it a little.

Since the Teachers should know taylor is being accused of being in a gang, they would know how serious lying about this sort of thing would be.

It risks them either being killed by an enraged taylor, or someone blabbing and getting into massive legal trouble.
Could be a student who blabs and gets proof, could be another teacher folds under pressure, or could be that the Trio does something stupid and lets taylor get obvious proof on them.

The Trio were emailing taylor in canon, doing alot of what they did in open halls, could be filmed or recorded on tape, and aren't particularly subtle in what they do like the locker.
You think teachers are going to risk massive legal trouble for a bunch of idiots like that?
No they are going to cover their asses and say that 'they noticed some small concerns of spilled liquids etc. on them, but none of the students seemed to want to talk about it and there was no proof of what actually happened and the teacher was busy so it got forgotten in all the other stuff that happens at the school'.
Which legally covers their asses pretty well and none of the other teachers / students should get mad at them for saying. Since noone is going to actually expect to convince danny considering how stupid and flimsy the case is.

Again, all hearsay from students that can be easily be doubted if Danny is thinking straight.
None of what I mentioned is hearsay though. Its basic logic.
He knows the locker happened, he should know that their was rotting blood and tampons and bugs inside the locker.

1. The locker is Incredibly focused on one person, with needing a grab a bunch of material, targetting one specific persons locker, with a bunch of bio-hazardous material. Including leaving it in their for quite some time.

2. Which means that they need to convince Danny that Taylor is not only a gang member, but a very important one.
He has to believe this even though taylor doesn't stay out late and didn't have anyone defending her and making counterclaims (where even the gangs would have some normal looking teenagers.)
And that noone was afraid to be speaking up against taylor, in a school where she is important enough to be specifically targeted.

3. He also has to be convinced that something like the locker is something that gang members would actually do. Instead of just stabbing her or something. And if someone tried to claim it was the gangs the immediate question would be 'what did the gangs do about it'. Which is nothing. Which would be weird for a basic gang member, yet alone someone important enough to specifically target.

So basic logic means that Taylor was specifically targeted and had little to no support.
Little to no support and targeted means that she is being bullied by either one the gangs and that she isn't in a gang. Or that the people she says are bullying her are bullying her.

It falls apart under even very basic questioning and scrutiny. Let alone taylor being there with him to question the stories. None of this requires any knowledge that danny doesn't already know.
The Teachers wouldn't even try something like this in the first place. Because even bad teachers would know how flimsy the logic is, and would know they could get in very serious trouble for implying it. Both legally and with the gangs.
Plus the teachers would realise there is a very real chance of them getting stabbed / gunned by taylor if she goes crazy if they say this...

Danny might not be actively focusing on taylor, but he is still doing his union job reasonably well considering the circumstances. So he shouldn't be as mentally degraded as your implying here either.
Plenty of dads do the same sort of thing, where they don't really connect with their kids and don't make efforts to try and figure out how things are going for them.

But the locker would have already happened and predisposed him to the idea that taylor is being bullied.

That's his default thought of course, but again, because of the students giving false information, his doubts grew stronger.

He still thinks Emma is her best friend... on the other worm fanfics that I read. I am just basing my knowledge from there...

If it's not true and Danny can notice that they are not friends anymore... I might have to change a lot of things here...

Which legally covers their asses pretty well and noone should get mad at them for saying. Since noone is going to actually expect to convince danny considering how stupid and flimsy the case is.

The teachers didn't say anything, or implied anything. It's only the students who did so.

They only looks at him silently, hoping for him to stop asking them because they don't want to be involved. Of course, due to their looks of pity or trying to distance themselves, Danny thought the students false information are credible.

None of what I mentioned is hearsay though. Its basic logic.
He knows the locker happened, he should know that their was rotting blood and tampons and bugs inside the locker.

Once again, the fact that the students (and Emma) told him that she is being an attention seeker, that she will even hurt herself just to get their attention, has been marked in his mind. So it's a really flimsy reason, but he somewhat doubts Taylor.

He confronted Taylor about this, hoping for her to clear up this misunderstanding. But he just made the situation worse because on Taylor's perspective, he suddenly becoming caring with all the wrong reasons. She immediately lashed out, which causes Danny to be shocked and say something in defense, which in turn cause Taylor to throw another hurtful word.

Then the rest is history.

It's been known that Danny have an explosive temper so while he can hold himself back, being hurled abusive words repeatedly by his own daughter will cause him to lash out. Taylor also inherited some of this temper (I think?) but is rarely shown in Canon because she is pushing most of her emotions to her bugs. So the verbal showdown will most likely happen.

Again, all my own reasonings. Not really something that are truly canon.

He still thinks Emma is her best friend... on the other worm fanfics that I read. I am just basing my knowledge from there...

If it's not true and Danny can notice that they are not friends anymore... I might have to change a lot of things here...
He thinks emma is taylors best friend in canon at this time because he hasn't talked to either of them about it, and emma hasn't badmouthed taylor and implied taylor is in a gang.
As soon as a conflict between them happens in front of him in canon, he immediately gets told that they aren't friends and he believes it.
And Emma implying taylor is in a gang, and that she is still friends with taylor, would imply Emma is in a gang.

It also means that Taylor doesn't tell him at the time that emma is no longer her friend.
They only looks at him silently, hoping for him to stop asking them because they don't want to be involved. Of course, due to their looks of pity or trying to distance themselves, Danny thought the students false information are credible.
This doesn't work either.

If the Teachers won't say that the claims are viable. Then that isn't going to convince danny that the teachers think that they are on the accusers side. And at best it Implies that the Teachers have absolutely no clue.

Except then Taylor talks about what the Teachers would have seen.
If the Teacher doesn't lie and say that something that happened infront of them didn't happen that Taylor specifically claims they would have seen. Then them not denying it Implies that Taylor is right but they don't want to say anything.
Because if Taylor was lying the teachers would say so if its something that she claims the teacher would know.

Which means that Danny doesn't believe the Teachers have an opinion one way or the other unless the Teachers for some reason want to lie and risk death and massive legal trouble for a bunch of idiot kids who aren't subtle and are being pretty immoral.

Once again, the fact that the students (and Emma) told him that she is being an attention seeker, that she will even hurt herself just to get their attention, has been marked in his mind. So it's a really flimsy reason, but he somewhat doubts Taylor.
A. that counteracts what he says in chapter about thinking it was possibly gang involvement.
B. Nothing he has seen about taylor himself implies that she is an attention seeker.
C. Taylor was actively trying to not get attention from her father on the issue, she also dresses in a way to avoid attention.
D. It also counteracts the claims of her being in a gang, because the gang would actually need to want to have her and she would need to have something of value for the gang.
Her being super crazy to the point of her getting lots of attention and possibly getting herself killed or in trouble goes against that. She doesn't even have much money.
Unless the students imply Taylor does drugs, but then Danny just gets a blood test done and when it comes back it gets Immediately disproven and its looks real damn bad for the teachers and the students. Even if the teachers were just 'staying silent'.

Finally he has absolutely no reason to start doubting taylor.
He is going into the school meeting knowing that Taylor nearly died, in a way that is extremely difficult to do by herself and that whatever happened the situation was serious enough that the School wanted to settle.

He is going into school EXPECTING students to be accusing taylor of something. None of the Teachers are verifying any claims. None of the Teachers are Denying anything taylor says either. EVEN WHEN IT DIRECTLY INVOLVES THEM.

At no point during all that should he start doubting taylor.

Danny is someone who would be used to people lying and people trying to cover their asses and the asses of those around him.

Finally, the Teachers have to make a verdict afterwards.
If the Teachers have a verdict that Implies that they believe that Taylor is in a gang. That can get them in absolutely massive trouble, and means that the Teachers are now specifically Obligated to have to pay attention to what taylor is doing.
Which makes them ALSO obligated to stop anyone bullying taylor.... Which means every other teacher gets in trouble and maybe them too. It also makes them obligated to pay attention on anything suspicious that happens to taylor that she 'could have done to herself for attention'.

You think the Teachers want to walk onto that Landmine for a lie? Definitely not.
Which means they are saying EVERYTHING ABOUT TAYLOR BEING IN A GANG IS BS. Which means it is all BS.
So that right there means you need to take out everything gang related if you want danny to still believe that the teachers believe the students at the end.

In terms of her getting in trouble because of it being something like a mental illness. Which is the only way to explain the locker considering how deadly and horrifying it was.
That means the Teachers need to start treating taylor like she has a mental illness.... Which again means similar things to the above where they have to monitor taylor, which means again that they become responsible for taylor and what happens to her.

So lets say that the reason the Centipedes are linked to taylor is because someone saw taylor walk out of the bathroom, and when they walked in there was a bunch of centipedes on the floor. Or something similar.
The school cannot claim that taylor isn't being bullied without trying to say that the locker was all taylor. Which would be a massive blunder on their part because it implies that they have to deal with taylor like she has a mental illness.
So they have to say something along the lines of everything being unclear. With most likely a warning or a very very minor punishment and a warning that if it was taylor, that she better not do it again.

Which means that Danny doesn't take them as believing taylor would do this to herself.

So either Danny doesn't believe the teachers have any particular opinion on whether taylor is crazy, and don't want to talk in favour of taylor even when taylor is accusing them.
With the gang stuff being completely wiped out since the gang stuff being questionable would make the students whole statements questionable.
Which makes it harder to make Danny being with the students against taylor look reasonable since the teachers don't particularly seem to believe the students.

Or the Locker doesn't happen, and all the stuff with taylor getting stuff poured on her etc. doesn't happen. And taylor gets mostly accused of being in a gang, with a little bit of wanting to get others in trouble.
With the teachers not saying anything because they don't see anything more serious than people talking and surrounding taylor etc. So they can claim to not know for sure that taylor is being bullied at all.

Preferably without the Centipedes being involved at all. Considering thats a little bit ridiculous to think of as someone doing as vandalism anyway. But atleast thats more believable than all the loops that would need to happen for the rest of the stuff.

No problems with the latest version of the chapter. Looks good. Went even further than it really even needed to do to fix, with Gladly doing above the bare minimum and Danny yelling at Emma.

Would probably add a note to the Authors note or Edit that the Locker didn't happen. Considering Danny didn't seem to know about the possibility of taylor being bullied until gladly brought it up.

Its also more understandable in that alot of people know about getting into arguments like in the chapter. Where everyone just keeps getting angrier with eachover and yelling at eachover and it becomes more about defending themselves and being angry rather than a conclusive argument.

Its also pretty great in that being bullied does not mean she is not also in a gang (If shes not an important person in the gang). So considering what danny knows he doesn't seem too unreasonable for being concerned about taylor being in a gang.
It also means that with grades / being part of a gang being a problem its harder for taylor to argue against it. Because she didn't take steps earlier to stop it effecting her grades and that she can't disprove gang activity.
Which leads to an argument where taylors side is mostly about how she is annoyed that he doesn't believe her and isn't taking her side and how he is butting in more than she wants rather than taylor actually having anything to really point to for her dad.
Which is precisely what creates arguments like this.

So I like this alot. Even more than the suggestions I gave.

Its also pretty great how you were willing to discus it with me and even willing to make edits. So thanks for that too.
Good Night.
