A/N: Unfortunately small. I just couldn't work much into this. Hope it does help explain somethings a bit?

Alexander sighed as he read over the reports, but his mind was elsewhere.
They had been called in at the first reports of Covenant forces, and managed to hold the planet for nearly a month. It wasn't a major colony, just an out of the way place with barely a name… he couldn't even recall it now.
But they had held, they had pushed the Covenant back, and almost had the system back under control when a second fleet had arrived.
That had been a disaster, doomed, futile, but it was their duty to see it through, and they had. The Alice, Lullaby, and Lionheart the last Halcyon-Class in a forward deployment. Even then, they only managed to evacuate half of the population before being pushed back.
Laden with Civilians as they were, the Alice and Lullaby had been forced to jump to safety, leaving the Lionheart to hold the Covenant back.
Standing, he pushed away from his desk.
So much to do, so much lost.
Alexander honestly didn't know what to make of these Parahumans, let alone this… Akia. What the hell was a Port Authority?
The few analysts that had survived the month long running engagement had pegged her an a AI, as well as Dragon. But neither of them had anything that hinted at Rampancy, and it had been confirmed Dragon at least was over ten years old.
Then, then. Oh, then, Akia had flown her freighter on a collision course with the planet. A crazy, suicidal, and destructive move for anyone… anyone but whatever the hell she was. The Nanomaterial was… if the UNSC had this, they could win the war.
But no, they had to be in some alternate reality, or other dimension. One where earth and a significant portion of the milky way was just… gone.
Walking out onto the bridge, He sighed. Time to get to work. "Launch the Longswords. I want this system scouted and to get patrols set up. Take us to the nearest Asteroid field, and tell the engineers to get ready to set up mining operations. Finally, start getting satellites and listening posts set up. We're blind here. Fix that."
Simple orders, but ones quickly followed. Or, maybe not so simple in this case. At least the Alice was doubled up on engineers right now.

Roll 3d100, this is for potential random events. Try not to roll any 1's, k?
Other than that. I need someone to (or all of you) to get me the votes for the last two snips ironed out before Friday.
I also find myself looking for some advice for transitioning to the next turn. Any tips on doing so smoothly would be welcomed.
