Unnamed Star Trek Sequel Series starring Patrick Stewart

I dont really think they are going to bring back Romulus unless they explicitly decide to throw the entirety of Abrams movies under the bus canonically speaking-as it stands, the destruction of Romulus happened in the prime timeline, and unless directly contradicted in the Picard show, for example by starting episode 1, season 1, on Romulus, with the date plastered on the screen AFTER the place is supposed to have been destroyed, nothing is going to change that.

I mean they threw out 95% of The Animated series canon so it wouldn't exactly be the first time they were selective with canon.

I mean the only way we know that Romulus was destroyed is by word of a stupid old Vulcan and crazy romulans both who where rather dealing with a supernova and then black hole shenanigans, for all we know Romulus had planetary phased shield cloaking tech and simply disappeared because of that rather then planetary death. :V (unless of course your going to tell me that a Space empire was unable to predict a supernova within range of their capital system).

I mean, it would have to be in their star system otherwise the blastwave would take years to reach them at light speed, and you'd think they'd know if their sun was a supermassive red giant. But then, Abrams is the same guy who thought that you could watch a planet blow up in a different solar system with your naked eye... twice. :p

Maybe it was a trilithium bomb?

The prequel comic, "Countdown", states that the Hobus Supernova was rather unusual in that it expanded at Warp speeds, and basically gained more energy with the more stuff it consumed. Basically, if left unchecked, it would have consumed the Galaxy, if not the Universe. However, the comics don't really matter in canon, so take this with a shaker full of salt.
