[X] Go all the way to the Western Front.

It will take several days to get to the Western Front from Kingsley Valley, even with the Gallop going full speed, so you have your men pack accordingly after unloading all the loot from last week.

*

[X] Spend time with Vestige.

You spent the time before leaving helping out with the resupply, and once that is done you lend a helping hand wherever they need one until you are ready to leave. After making sure everything is alright you depart Kingsley Valley at noon. There might only be a few hours of daylight left in the day, but you plan to make the most of them. It is for that reason that you excuse yourself from the bridge to go down to the hangar.

Vestige stirs when you sit down in the White Doll's pilot seat.

Hello Loran. I do not see Sochie anywhere, so I doubt that you are here for training. Come to talk with an old shadow?

Their tone is accusing, but the teasing caress of amusement that affectionately strokes your mind is anything but. "Maybe tomorrow, Vestige. Right now I just wanted to talk."

Vestige leans forward, idly curious.

What about?

You stroke your chin. "Well…I was thinking-"

[X] Ask Sochie if she wants to experiment with Pressure while you learn an advanced Discipline.
--[X] Psyco-Shroud.

Vestige receives you and Sochie the next day, and after Sochie has exhausted herself testing out the NT-D Mode they train you in Psyco-Shroud.

The gist of it to telekinetically draw mega-particles to yourself to form an I-Fieldesque effect. I know that it sounds difficult, but once you know the trick to it you will find that it isn't that hard.

True to their word, creating that shimmering yellow shroud is easier than it sounds. There is just one problem: It is not something to open with, to say the least.

Nail on the head, boy. The Psyco-Shroud requires there to be enough mega-particles around to form said Shroud. I can release some for training purposes, but in a combat situation you would probably be better served using the Destruction Manipulator as a weapon than as an inferior I-Field generator.

Learned Psyco-Shroud!

[X] Try to reach Lord Guin on the radio.

You call Lord Guin the next evening. He should have reached the Florian lines with the army, so you waited until after nightfall to call him. Luckily you were told how to contact the Borjarnaught before you left Kingsley last week.

"Laura! What a pleasant surprise. How can I help you?"

"Hello sir. I was wondering-"

Right, then. Back to work. There is currently a tie between

[X] "How do you find the Borjarnaught so far? Is it everything you hoped?"

and

[X] "If we could talk alone? There is something I need to tell you."
--[X] "Lady Lily mentioned something about Unification…"

Both with 3 votes each (the tally two posts above counts my earlier tally, giving the first option listed here an extra vote). If nobody else votes in 24 hours I will roll a 1d2 to break the tie.

Week 22 Result Part 2
[X] "I just remembered: The White Doll reacted strangely when the Militia found that beam pistol. Do you know anything about it?"

[X] "Tell me more about the First Humans."

[X] "What technologies do you remember leaving up on the Moon?"

"I just remembered: The White Doll reacted strangely when the Militia found that beam pistol. Do you know anything about it?" You wondered why at the time, but then Corin and Arisa got you some functional guns, so it faded from your mind for months before it suddenly came to mind again.

Vestige nods.

The Type-TX Beam Pistol? I should hope I know all about it, seeing as I- as Kreis was the one who made it. The Type-TX series of weapons was made for the Turn X, just like the Type-TA series was made for the Turn A. I know that it does not look all that impressive at the moment, but if you get it repaired you should unlock the most crucial feature of a Type-Turn weapon.

You wait for Vestige to elaborate, only speaking when it becomes clear that they won't. "Which is?"

Unlike, say, a that Leo Beam Rifle you got from Corin and Arisa a Type-Turn weapon will become stronger as the Turn X wakes up from its sleep. If you tried to make the Leo gun handle Combat Mode energies it would evaporate, but the pistol would just become more powerful. Same with every Type-Turn weapon, their power scales with that of the Turn Unit wielding them.

That about covers it. Anything else?

You take a moment to think about it. "Tell me more about the First Humans."

…Like what?

"What do you mean 'like what'?"

Vestige shrugs.

Would it kill you to be a bit more specific? We are talking thousands of years of history, culture and events here, if I am to relate everything I know we would be here for several days. Ask something else and you can think about what you want to know.

"Fine." You mumble. "What technologies do you remember leaving up on the Moon?"

My memory is a bit hazy about that, but Kreis obviously left them at least three Hashmals, though Gadget implied that they had more of them. I do remember leaving them the fabricator unit for Destroy Gundams up there, but we don't know if they have found it. I can't remember Kreis giving them the Barbatos or anything that would let them outfit it with a Psychoframe, though he obviously did.

What I do remember is giving them some Zssas, a type of missile bombardment Mobile Suit, a couple of Virgos, a type of unmanned Mobile Suit, and something with a Mobile Trace System.

"A what?"

A way of controlling your Mobile Suit by using a mocap suit. For once not something the First Humans came up with: It was developed as part of a sport in the first cycle after the Turn A destroyed the First Humans.

Other than that, I gave Junno a bunch of stuff, mostly various Mobile Suits that she ended up throwing in storage. There was one more thing…but I cannot remember. I do remember giving the Intelligence Division some toys in case of emergencies, but I cannot remember exactly what they were.

"That's not very encouraging." You mumble as you look over the holographic displays showcasing some of the Mobile Suits Vestige mentioned. One of the pictures show a Leo, so they must be some of the Mobile Suits that Kreis Kreuz tried to give Queen Junno.

I know, but it is all that I can give you. Anyway, have you thought about what to ask about the First Humans?

"Sir, I'm currently at the Western Front, is there anything you want me to check on while I am here?"

There is a brief pause and the sound the shuffled paper before Lord Guin answers. "Yes. If you find the time, I would like you to visit Lord Denver's magicians. You three are the only known ones of your kind, so I'd rather keep myself informed. There is also the Tejans, I have received reports that the Dianna Counter has driven them west for the past few weeks, so they might use some help. I leave it up to you."

"Understood sir." You answer, leaning back into the radio operator's chair. "How is it going on the Eastern Front? Are the Florians holding out?"

"They have withdrawn to a defensive line further east after increased Dianna Counter activity made holding their earlier position untenable, but we have been relieving some of the pressure on them by diverting the Dianna Counter's attention. They cannot afford to ignore a force our size threatening to cut them off from the rest of the Moonrace forces." Crackles the radio. "Once we have linked up with the Florians we shall see if we can drive the Dianna Counter out of Floria proper."

That's a relief. "Good to hear sir, but how do you find the Borjarnaught so far? Is it everything you hoped?"

You can practically feel Lord Guin's smirk over the radio. "All that and more. Sid and him men have restored the point defense turrets and one beam cannon, but the Borjarnaught's utility as a mobile base outweighs its use as a weapon for now. In time, however, I will see to it that we will land forces on the moon."

Oh dear. "That might not be feasible, sir. It doesn't look like the Borjarnaught has the ability to leave Earth's gravity under its own power, and even if it could strike at the Moon directly there is still the matter of the rest of our military."

"Oh?"

"The Dianna Counter is only a part of the Moon's army, sir, and an even smaller part of the navy. Unless there are a lot more ships buried within reach of the Coalition, I don't think that a counter invasion is viable."

Your only answer is silence.

"Sir?"

"You have given me something to think about, but be assured that there is a way for my ship to go beyond the sky. The Borjarnaught possesses records of a device that will launch it upwards."

"A mass driver?" That certainly changes things. "Where?"

"We don't know yet." He sheepishly admits. "The records have been heavily degraded over the centuries, so we are trying to determine its location from references to places that no longer exist. It's-hm? One moment Laura…"

Hushed voices sound over the radio for a few minutes before Lord Guin comes back on. "I'm sorry, Laura, but we are going to have to cut this meeting short. Our scouts have spotted a Dianna Counter battleship in the distance."

"Understood sir. Good luck."

"Of course."

Now that everything has been taken care of, it is time to decide what to do. The LRAMDC's Gallop is cruising forward with you flying ahead in the White Doll.

"Vestige?"

Yes?

"Do you know about any mass drivers in the area?"

Vestige ponders the question for a second.

There used to be a bunch of them before the Turn A came. The major ones in North America would be in California- do they still call it that?

"They do." California takes up most of the east coast of the lands considered Amerian. From what you remember from your DC-ASP courses it is a democratic republic, though only people who own the land they live on may vote.

Right. Then there was the one in New York…do they still-

"Call it that? Kinda. Newark is a confederacy of city states north of Inglessa." Though it might not remain a confederacy for long with how the richer cities are using their economic clout to de facto annex weaker ones.

Interesting. There were a bunch of others, like the one in current Tejas, but the only ones I really remember from Kreis' memories is the one in Yucatan.

Vestige pauses.

Why?

"Lord Guin mentioned that the Borjarnaught has records of a mass driver, though they haven't found it yet. He wants to use it to launch a counterattack when the time is right."

Huh.

"Yeah." You mumble as the two of you settle into an easy silence. It shouldn't be long now before you reach you destination and can get to work-

We really should have thought this through more.

And restoring that gun just went up the to-do.

Agreed.

I hope we find a instant repair device somewhere. Sorry I forget what its called but if we do obtain one somehow I know what we are going to use it on.
Not the gun.

Insta-repair blocks are the only way to bring back destroyed systems, like the left arm beam saber/gun or the head lasers.

We can bring back the gun with weekly repairs.
