Troll Quest (Warhammer Fantasy Monster Rising Quest)

Explain how that can be related to him?
Waystones are known as elf-stones. Caledor sealed The Vortex using a complex ritual involving the way stones. The way stones regulate The Vortex. Caledor is inside The Vortex. Waystones are not only built on leylines but are built on places where magic erupts into reality, which is then funneled to The Vortex and Ulthuan. The oldest way stones were built by the old ones while most of the others were built by the Asur during their golden age. Think of it this way. Imagine all of the Warhammer world covered in a series of fuel lines with the way stones being oil drilling platforms. Now imagine what can happen if an oil drilling platform is not properly operated or worse hijacked by idiots who don't know the first thing about what they are dealing with. Results will vary from fuel not getting to the places that need it to function, to catosraphicly explosive, to an oil spill the size of a small country. I am reasonably certain that beastman herdstones are what happens when a way stone is fully corrupted.

Oh no it's an oceangate incident all over again but this time it's all chaos and magic.

For those thinking about the "ball of ice", think that's what your Troll saw with his very canny but admittedly inexpert gaze. All you're sure of is that she's been cursed in a bad way.

I am reasonably certain that beastman herdstones are what happens when a way stone is fully corrupted.

Interestingly enough, beastmen don't seem to do much in the way of Daemon summoning. It's interesting if you think about the level of corruption a herdstone should bring.

That is true, but I imagine the reason being that...summoning a daemon is something that actually contradicts the wilderness that they represent together that they need sacrifice to summon a daemon...and most Beastmen do with captives is to eat them or...other stuff. Old lore beastmen were nasty with some of the stuff.

Daemon summoning is a very "scholary" discipline of Dark Magic. With lots of studying, rituals and preparations required to succeed.

Beastmen aren't exactly great on the whole "education" thing. And their magic is pretty crude and brutish.

That is true but I don't think Brayshamans would willingly become portals by sacrificing themselves...

The warp portal doesn't have to explode the caster like a 40K psyker, any sufficiently powerful wizard can just shove power at the Veil until it briefly breaks though that in no way guarantees the daemons won't eat them and they would be quite short lived with nothing but the initial burst to keep them around.

That's an interesting take actually. Maybe Beastmen are wary of Daemons. After all, they are the Children of Chaos, but they aren't the favorites of Chaos by any stretch. I can imagine Daemons looking down on them as fodder and nothing else.

Sounds reasonable and that is where the lack of academic skill comes in, they would not have the skill to bind and bargain with daemons normally.

Yep, that fits, especially given pretty often other chaos forces do not work together pretty often, from chaos warriors, be undivided or one of chaos gods, beastmen, skaven, daemons of chaos, dawi zhar and much more. They sometimes work together but they are quicker to ensalve or kill each other than create good alliance.

I presume we would need to eat giant's meat for that.
Actually much like goldfish the only limit's to how big a troll can get is directly proportional to how much food and space he has (I'm not kidding look it up if you put a goldfish in a lake it can grow up to one meter long) so really all we need to do to become the biggest troll is eat a lot and find a REALLY big house to live in though eating giants will probably speed things up I believe

Huh, that is neat to hear. I am curious if we ate more rough stuff, we would able to eat metal or stone like stuff from Forest Beneath. Actually, would be nice if we get Stone Trolls and actually recruit them, if Frumen, we would get them eat solid good stuff from Forest Beneath.

You know why he didn't bit him...? BECAUSE HE IS CHAOS TROLL!

What he said.

Question, @boredblues , eating Squig meat didn't made Ik dumber or otherwise put him under the risk of becoming Thraka?

Nope. I already said it, but I guess I should add it in a spoiler in the character sheet. Squig meat, at least the kind you guys are given as normal rations, has no particular effect. Apart from tasting like mush.
