Thinking about it, @Raphael's version does sound better. Lots of nice options:

[X] Applied Biomancy (2) + Dream Eater (6)

+1/+1 to the Sphinx of New Phrav if nothing changes by the time Applied Biomancy hits, and save the Snap effect for the rescue operation if possible, if not, use it right now or let that part fizzle. Get Dream Eater (and give Planewalker lots and LOTS of target data and understanding of what's actually going on), then hopefully the charge comes.

The buff goes to the Sphinx of New Phrav simply because the PRT agents are hoping for aerial extraction, so they are probably seeking rooftops and/or places where a chopper could get to them.

(Really wondering what kind of impression this is going to leave. "Capes can be monsters, but some of them are OUR monsters" maybe? Also wondering if Planewalker will remember to airlift at least some of the 2/2's.)

[X] Applied Biomancy (2) + Dream Eater (6)

I called upon my mana, first to perform one of the simpler Simic spells I knew. Manipulating a creature's biology in order to strengthen it, which I promptly used to temporarily strengthen the sphinx I was riding on. It also could temporarily halt other mages' summoned creatures, but I didn't see a target for that, so I simply let the effect fizzle. I could feel the Tome hum in appreciation as I used guild magic, the extra power allowed me to summon… a nightmare sphinx. Father had always hated how the Dimir twisted the proud and strict sphinxes of the Azorious, but it was useful right now, and I acknowledged that.

As soon as the dream eater formed, I immediately learned several things. I knew where the PRT were fleeing, chased down by Nilbog's monstrosities. I knew the location of each of the Protectorate heroes following me. I knew exactly where each of Nilbog's monsters was, as they converged into packs to fight. Most importantly, I knew where Nilbog, Jamie Rinke, hid as he manufactured more monsters to fight us.

I knew all this by peering into the minds of each and every person I learned about. I saw the fear and determination of the PRT agents. I saw the triumphant feelings of the Protectorate behind me. I saw the warped devotion Nilbog's creations had towards him, and I saw the way Nilbog styled himself a god-king. Truly, he was like a less competent Nicol Bolas.

As all these thoughts slammed into my head, I fell forward on my Sphinx mount ignoring the dream eater's other abilities. Holding on as my head pounded, I directed my Sphinxes towards the PRT, to rescue them, the rest of my summons, I sent to root out Nilbog. The Sphinx and I reached the fleeing PRT team far before anyone on the ground could make it. We were, of course, followed closely by some of the fliers in the Protectorate. I don't know how many were originally supposed to be here, but by the time I got there, only 10 remained. Still saving ten people was better than saving none. As my headache subsided, I flew down and the PRT knew evac when they saw it. Some grabbed on to the legs of my sphinxes, while others were picked up by some of the fliers.

Laden with people, my sphinxes flew slower than they had when we approached, but it was adequate enough. I did end up with woman sitting behind me somehow. She must have climbed up from one of the Sphinx's legs.

"Thanks for the save," she says,

"I couldn't just leave you to die," I reply, keeping my eyes forward so I can direct my sphinx not to fly into somebody else.

"You might not," she mutters. I pretend not to hear her. There are more pressing matters to attend to.

I still found the dream eater's appearance distasteful, and by the looks some of the other fliers were giving it, so did my compatriots. Still, it proved its worth by transporting 4 PRT agents outside of the town limits, where they promptly started moving away from Ellisburg. I couldn't say I blamed them. If I was them, I'd want to be as far away from here as possible as well.

After they were clear, I led my flyer group back towards where I knew the ground troop had reached. There wasn't a lot of town to cover really, and the ram had done an excellent job of simply crushing everything that stood in its way. Frankly, the knights, soldier, and the ground-bound heroes only served to protect its flanks and pick off any stragglers it left behind.

Approaching the position where I knew Nilbog had made his lair, I looked upon a two-story home that had an ordinary appearance from the outside. Why he had chosen such a location, I didn't know. I ordered the ram to crush the building whole. If Nilbog was inside it, I couldn't let him escape alive. He had killed far too many people. If he had escaped, then the only thing that could be inside the building were monsters, which also deserved to be crushed.

As expected, The ram simply smashed through the building, pulverizing any of the monsters within. Unexpectedly, I saw neither hide nor hair of Nilbog himself, and despite my desire to forget. I knew exactly what he should look like in his living costume.

A brief flyby with my Sphinxes yielded no information I didn't already have. I knew that he had been here, and I also knew that he hadn't created anything that could fly, or that was fast enough on the ground to outpace my sphinxes, yet he was gone. Perhaps he had created something new or retreated in a way that I did not consider.

I swept the town several times, using my knights to pick off the remaining monsters rather than the ram because I didn't want to smash up the place too much. As the number of monsters dwindled, I finally decided that wherever Nilbog had gone, he was out of my reach for now, especially because once more, my lands refused to untap. I was starting to understand that if I wasn't in a fight, they simply refused to do so, and apparently picking off the stragglers of Nilbog's army didn't count.

Then Clar- Hero showed up. I was wondering when someone would notice my presence.

"So, why'd you decide to come out here?" he asks casually.

"I should ask you why none of your team showed up. These people were woefully underprepared to take on a force of this size, and Nilbog still hasn't been found despite my assistance."

He eyes up my summoned force. "Well, if they couldn't find it. I doubt I'd be much help. I can't say what held up the rest of my team, but personally, I thought that two full Protectorate teams and several squads of PRT agents would be more than enough, and studying Leviathan is still at the top of my priority list. I can't help but feel like I'm so close to a breakthrough."

"Alright, so what now?"

"Now we go back to New York and you can explain what just happened to Legend."

I grimace. I'd really rather not.

The Nilbog incident stokes the embers of my dying fame, although more locally this time. Rather than a global event, the people of the US and Canada are mostly the ones who take note of my actions at Ellisburg. Nilbog is declared an S-class threat and also missing, as no one saw where he went. I heard nothing about him after a couple of questions from reporters.

According to said reporters, a lot of people are talking about "Planeswalker as the fifth member of the Quintumvirate" or so Legend tells me, which is odd because I have yet to officially join the Protectorate. I guess that I haven't actually clarified that I'm not though, and everyone just assumes that I am.

The recognition is nice, but I appreciate that this time it's calmer. I don't have to travel across the world. I don't have press conferences every day. I can actually take my time to learn the things about this world that I'd had to ignore in the months between Leviathan and now.

Speaking of Leviathan, Clark still has him locked up in a basement to prod and poke. He insists he's "on the verge of something that could revolutionize the way we fight the Endbringers" which I wouldn't mind except for the fact that he's supposd to be helping me figure out my own issues. Still, as I said before, it gives me some time to compare this world to Ravnica.

The most surprising thing, to me at least, was how lax their laws are, especially in the US, where I'm staying. Things like taking into account intent and premeditation were foreign to me. On Ravnica, your sentence was determined by the severity of your crime and not much else. Frankly, I wasn't sure how the whole system hadn't collapsed on itself, but apparently, it was working for this nation, considering that they'd been a world superpower, equivalent in relative strength to a Guild, for over 50 years, which was apparently a long time on this plane.

The nation itself interested you, a democratic form of government was interesting and new. On Ravnica, the Paruns ran each of the guilds as long as they were alive and could maintain power. I was informed by Clark that on this plane, people called that a dictatorship, and it was considered backwards. I disagreed on that point. How can a nation have any cohesive action when it's leader changes every four years. It seems like a recipe for stagnation to me.

The most interesting thing, though, was the wildlife. Sure the majority of it was the same carbon-based lifeforms I'd seen on Ravnica. The lack of other intelligent life-forms was a bit of a downer, but it was made up for in the incredible amount of marine biology. Even though I wasn't allowed too far from shore, I got to see amazing creatures that I hadn't seen before like dolphins and whales and otters. They were so adorable. It was nice just being able to see the sea. On Ravnica, the oceans were buried under layers and layers of city, to the point where Biomancers looking to study marine biology had to establish their laboratories in holes drilled into the ground, just to reach the water. It was truly intriguing to see how ecosystems differed here than they did on Ravnica.

The month passed with little fanfare. I did the occasional press conference in a random city two or three times a week before I was dumped on Clark to take care of while the others went about their business. I had to sacrifice the ram as there was no way it would actually be transported to half the places I visited, but the Selesnya knights were small enough to fit on planes, so they became my personal bodyguards. I still didn't get to see any action in New York, but that was because, after my showing at Ellisburg, villains who thought that they might sneak under the radar in New York had promptly fled the city again. I knew they'd be back eventually, but hopefully, Clark would help me figure out my spark by then.

Things took a turn for the worse on a cloudy day in Halifax. I was here to talk to the press about well, nothing of substance really. If there was anything I really disliked about this plane, it was the media. They weren't even asking questions that I thought were worthwhile like they had been in the months after Leviathan. No, they were asking inane questions about my personal taste in clothing or men, as if those things are important to me. Sometimes I wonder how Legend puts up with all these people.

Still, drab as the day was, it was perfectly ordinary... until the sirens blared. I recognized those, the Endbringer sirens, and they didn't blare once and stop. No, they continued, which meant that the Endbringer, presumably Behemoth, was here, in this city. Quickly, I gathered my personal guard and went outside. The sky had taken on a reddish tinge, which I initially assumed to be the dusk peaking through the clouds until I glanced up.

I peered straight through the rib cage of an enormous humanoid figure. It had six arms, and as I pulled my eyes up towards its face, I saw that it's skeletal glare was backed by a glowing red halo. Said skeletal gaze was fixated solely on me. Instinctively, I knew that whatever this thing was, cape, Endbringer, it was here for me.

One of its arms twitched and the glowing red circle it held spread outward. I couldn't see where it stopped, but I did see what happened as it pulled back. Numerous buildings and people were pulled up into the sky towards the being, floating weightless in the air, unable to move.

Then, it twitched a hand on the other side, and the red ring expanded much faster, and as it collided with the objects in people in the air, they were propelled away, blurring with speed. I heard a thud as something landed near me, man or structure, I dared not check what.

I could feel my lands untapping, yet the connection was shaky to all but the stream near Ellisburg. That was when I noticed that the giant had come closer. What means it used to propel itself through the sky, I didn't get to find out, because it did the same maneuver with its hand, and I along with my knights floated up into the air.

I started to panic, it had been months since the last time I felt so helpless. I flailed at the air. I tugged at my mana, yet it all seemed to affect nothing, as I was unable to free myself nor cast any spells.

Thus, when the Endbringer made its second motion, the one that would fling me away at speeds faster than my enhanced eyes could follow, I screamed and cried and yelled. It all seemed wrong. This wasn't how I wanted to die, flung away by some uncaring titan. It happened anyway though, the red wave coming towards me seemed to move in slow motion. Right as it hit me, I felt the world fall away.

Instinctively, I knew I was in the Blind Eternities. I had planeswalked at the very last possible moment, and that was all that had saved me. Idly, I wondered what Clark and the rest would think. They would probably assume I died in that attack. I wondered what they would call the titan that had supposedly slain me, but now wasn't the time for such thoughts. I needed to direct myself. I could feel a number of planes out there, some I recognized from my most recent trip through the blind eternities, while others were completely unfamiliar. Unfortunately, there was still no plane that I could say that I had been to before. Thus, I simply allowed my spark to tug me where it would.

I ended up in…

[][Plane] It feels like there are many echoes of the same spherical planet. Each sealed off from each other, and the group sealed away from other planes. The barrier doesn't properly extend into the eternities, allowing you to squeeze by. (Worm)

Since the next update will be kinda short and to celebrate War of the Spark's release, I'm going to write an Omake of a planeswalker showing up during the Leviathan fight, the one in 2011. It will be in the canon timeline, not the one where Jade shows up. You can vote for any walker that appears in War of the Spark.

Here are some suggestions

[][Omake] The Wanderer

[][Omake] Kasmina, Enigmatic Mentor

[][Omake] Liliana, Dreadhorde General

[][Omake] Sarkhan the Masterless

[][Omake] Nissa, Who Shakes the World

[][Omake] Karn, the Great Creator

[][Omake] Write-in.

Notably, when things have targeted abilities, I'd prefer if you wrote down what you're targeting, otherwise, I'll pick and choose.

I did just eject Jade from the plane. TBH I was getting a little tired of writing about Bet.

I don't much care for Dragon age as a setting. My top preference would normally be One Piece but I feel like that's one you gotta go in with no aims or commitments or with a solid life beforehand and we're in between if you catch my drift. My next favorite would be the MCU but depending on how our glorious GM uses it it may not posit enough of an immediate paradigm shift to really carry same as One Piece really. RWBY is not my favorite media but I love the setting and it works for someone in between and presents a huge paradigm shift if ya catch my drift.

I don't know anything about RWBY to evaluate it.

Hmm, I wonder what happens to Levi.

[X][Plane] A plane where magic is fading giving way to an eternal cold. (A Song of Ice and Fire)

Do not have a particular preference for an omake

Any planeswalker you say?

Well then. Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to Ugin the Ineffable, he's the twin brother to Nicol Bolas (the big bad from War of the Spark. That is, Nicol Bolas is the big bad, not Ugin.)

Elder dragon vs Leviathan? Yes, please.
