Torkal No-Sense (Shadow of Mordor/ Shadow of War Uruk-SI)

Haha was that bit at the end there basically Torkal's little intro cinematic? (where the game pauses and the Uruk captain does a little speech or scream or whatnot)

Totally badass, and I have to wonder if maybe Talion won't have to use mind control with Torkal around.

Every dead man has a few things with them to take into the next life, if there is a next life for them. There was a next life for me and I started with nothing so I'm giving them all things I wished I had when I first started. Everyone gets a sword, so they aren't defenseless. Two coins, one over each eye, so they can pay for something they need on the other side. A piece of armor, for protection if they need it. Bread, salted meat, or cheese so they have something to tide them over. A little bit of grog, because being dead is an occasion to get sloshed if there ever was one. Finally, and most importantly, each body has a flower next to them so when they enter the next life they'll know that someone was thinking of them after they died.

Torkal's behavior, speech, and actions confuse other uruks. He does the hard things instead of going the easy route, he sets things up to make things better in Mordor not just for himself but for others, and he carries a kind of self-respect that is exceedingly rare in the land where the shadows lie. His actions over the years have earned him the title of No-Sense, and not only would his underlings die for him. His underlings want to live for him.

Pretty easy to imagine a cutscene where shenanigans of Torkal calls and a LOT of Uruks answer to it

No worries. But now my curiosity is peaked. Does the tick happen if you're playing DnD?

More then you'd expect, less than you'd think.

My main, GM, my IRL bud, sometimes uses orcs to taunt me at times, but if its a random GM they tend to either get annoyed or laugh.

Orcs just, dont really come up alot in my DnD experience.

Whenever I play Warhammer Fantasy (Always tabletop because no one wants to run RPG for some reason) or 40k (Mix of both), you'd better believe mah boyz go an' krump da' gits fer all derez gubbins!! Derez aint no muckin bout!

Childhood of being obessed with Warhammer orkz does this to a man.

No regrets have been had

To stop the derailing from going further down the Orkz boyz speak and get Mods sent after us, I'm now immesely curious who would win in a fight between Sauron and his Uruk-hi and Orcs vs [Insert Warboss here] and their Ork Boiz and Black orks

That's just a chaos warlord and his army of mutants. Not green or Orky enough to be called true Orks.

Warhammer just wins every comparison though so they're not really that fun to do.

The Warhammer memes are strong in this thread.

Its not even a Warhammer thread either!

I'm uber sorry author, I've spawned something amazing terrible!

ahem
omake idea
at some point, the Lad gets sent into another franchise
and lo, Torkoal No-Sense was born.

I love that because this is an Uruk SI, then technically Torkal has potential access to weapons and skills from Uruk captains of the games, although that means he has weaknesses too. While you're still in the shadow of Mordor section of the story use a curse weapon, as it isn't part of the first game no Uruk have a resistance or immunity to it.

This looks really good. I recently started replaying shadow of war so I was kinda itching for some SoM/SoW fics.
