[X] Use your pistol(s)
[X] Self aid (simple) Fix your your right arm and jab morphine in you
[X] Get your weapon ready and overwatch

It seems to me that we stopped the worst part when the suicide bomber blew up on us. I also think that any other Nazis that may have survived were dealt with, leaving the German ship girls and maybe their commander. Also, this war is a clusterfuck. We have the Abyssals, Nueroi, and Nazis, though it seems the Nazi's are either terrorists or there was a German civil war.

Chapter 3.6
[X] Use your pistol(s)
[X] Self aid (simple) Fix your your right arm and jab morphine in you
[X] Get your weapon ready and overwatch

You push yourself up for a bit before you fall on your back. You're incredibly glad that you can't feel shit right now as you use your left arm to feel your injured shoulder. It's a dislocated shoulder probably, hopefully. You try several times to push should back into place and, third times the charm, it goes in. You maneuver your right hand, looks okay and it seems to work just fine. As a test you fumble for your aid kit to take out a morphine Syrette, uncap it with your mouth and jab it in your thigh, not proper procedure but fuck it.

As you squeeze the tube you reach for the BHP on your left holster. You check the pistol out, unsafe it, and made sure there's a round chambered. You do the same with your .45 when you finish administering the drug. When you're done you watch over the bloody mess, mostly on the two males.

The two men are backing away from the ship girl as she approaches them. You notice that they're hesitant at pointing their weapons at her, their arms mildly shaking. You can't hear shit so you have no idea what their saying but from their faces show that the German ship is furious at the two. You can't get a good sight on the men but when one of them looks over at your direction you see that he's a nervous wreck, a young man crying.

When he spots you he turns to fire his pistol several times at you with his eyes closed, if you could hear he'd be screaming you'd bet. The shield deploys, with small cracks all over it, and stop the few bullets in that would have missed you. You counter by raising your 1911 and fire off three rounds, not bothering to aim down the sights. They hit his left leg, stomach and chest, dropping him.

The other kraut notices and fires towards you. He's older and more accurate, the rounds are place closer that the other man's but are no match for your defense. Again, you put some .45 ACP into him, seeing blood spurt from his right knee, upper right torso, and neck. He drops to his knees and bleeds out. He attempts to aim his weapon, consequently you put two more in his chest, making him slump forward. Tough fucker.

You're sweating, partially numb, sore, fucking mentally tired, but alive. Your hearing is finally coming back with the accompanying sound of sirens and people yelling in Japanese and English, oh and the wind, can't forget that. The smell, you'd rather not describe. You decide to survey behind you, what you have in view is Houshou holding Miyafuji down and there's people behind the Zero.

You get up and try to use your feet but they're too numb so you stop and settle for a sitting position. Across from you a young teen slowly walks out from the cloud with Lugers in hand, the fucker has a mild smile on his face. The ship girl runs on the deck and from her face is horrified in what she sees, likely didn't see a thing from her position on the boarding bridge.

The only familiar word you hear her say is halt when she shouts in German but the guy can't hear or is ignoring her while he points his pistols at you. His volley goes fucking wild with none even touching your shield, instead they go short or go far by your sides.

Your response is accurate 9mm and .45 at his center of mass, however the glow of a barrier appears. You fire off all your shots at hit, you note his barrier has severe cracks running across it.

He doesn't seem to give a shit, furthermore he drops his Lugers to pull out a knife while walking towards you. Fucking hell.

Choice
[] Reload and Fire off your pistols as fast as you can
[] More Dakka, find your Tommy and spray
[] Get up and finish him (Challenge 30, S+E+1d30)
[] Write-in

Balls to the wall would be fine if we didn't only have a 1/3 chance to succeed. I figure that a higher Melee skill would improve those odds, but we only have a decent Marksman score.

[X] More Dakka, find your Tommy and spray

When a man is approaching with intent to kill, don't waste time reloading. Use a different gun.

Chapter 3 End
4 [X] More Dakka, find your Tommy and spray
2 [X] Get up and finish him (Challenge 30, S+E+1d30)

Holstering your .45 and 9mm, you search behind you to see your Tommy is just about 5 feet away. Crawling on your belly you reach it and see that the magazine is fucked, the bottom is blown off. You give the weapon a once over to see no other apparent problems and reload it.

You roll to your back and aim at the last Nazi who seems to saying something to the German ship girl. Like you give a fuck about what they're saying hence you fire an entire volley. It's an inaccurate burst but the rounds hit the hostile's barrier which cracks even more. His attention goes back to you and he starts to charge.

As you reload you see a arrow fly over you and shatters the shield that was protecting the kraut. The arrow itself misses him but it was enough to make the bastard stop his creepy smile. It's also good for you since you can finish him off. You aim for his right leg and fire. You can tell that they hit when he collapses on the bloody deck. While he gets up he materializes a surprise as he looks down on himself all bloody from his dead buddies. You let off another round of .45s, hitting his lower chest.

It doesn't stop him from blankly focusing on you and his attempt to throw his knife at you. You observe the blade fly and lands no where close to you. You zero in and pull the trigger, this time several bullets hit his neck which separates the man's head from his body. You put a few more on the body to make it sag on the deck.

You watch for any movement from the corpses, finding none you fire what's left of your magazine randomly at the deceased. With that done you collapse, letting go of your weapon and just stare at the sky. Fucking bullshit. It's only a few seconds when you hear the familiar voice of your Sergeant calling out.

"JOHN! JOHN! WHAT'S GOING ON?"

"CLEAR!" Is all that you respond with, too much going on to remember right now. You hear the sounds of footsteps coming closer from different directions. Eventually you see the faces of Kerry and Houshou over you.

"Jesus what did you do?" He looks like he's seen the grim reaper himself.

"Not on me." You meekly wave your right hand as he examines you.

You feel and hear the ripping of cloth from your legs. "You're bleeding."

"That's news to me." You pull out your aid kit and wait for someone to take it in which Houshou does.

"You're lucky it's not that bad." You look around to see that more soldiers have come aboard the ship. Kerry turns around to address them. "Hey you! Check the bodies, find what ever you can about these guys and secure those guns. Go!" You barely feel the gauze being applied on your lower leg.

"Sergeant we have an infirmary on the ship. We can take him there." You sense Houshou pulling you upright and your waist. She's strong, gotta admit.

Kerry nods his head in agreement. "Yeah that sounds good." Just as he goes for your legs Houshou shakes her head.

"We'll handle it while you and your men deal with this." You look behind the Sarge to see more MPs, your Captain, and more officers coming aboard the ship.

"Shit. Take care of him." He gets up and starts to go to them when you speak out.

"Sergeant, I'm going to pass out." You close your eyes and drift off without a further word. Not going to deal with this crap right now, leave it to someone else to fix this problem.

Huzzah! Life threatening danger once more proves worth it with power skill ups! That said, is it possible to raise SPECIAL stats somehow? Because I feel some raises to Endurance may prove useful in the future.

Also, what was he expecting to do when we also had a shield? Granted, it isn't that good of a shield but it should hold long enough for us to kill him in return. Did he just not know about it somehow?

I swear I answered that same SPECIAL question on SB, that answer is still the same, yes but you have to earn it. As for the other question on the shield, you may never know since he's dead.

Chapter 4.0
[X] Save

When you open your eyes you see an unfamiliar metal ceiling. Scanning around it seems like the infirmary of the Akagi, given the Japanese symbols, writings, whatever they use, and the cabinets of medicine. Around you there are empty beds, no wait, the one next to you is occupied by Yoshika, sleeping under the covers.

Noting nothing else, you flip the covers to see that your lower pants have been cut off, exposing your bandaged legs and. You massage the bandaged area to feel nothing out of the ordinary so you begin to slowly uncover the wrappings. Once done you see there's no wounds on you, you theorize it must have been magic.

During your self check, you hear the sound of the metal door being unhatched and voices behind it. "He's in here?" That's Sarge's voice. The door opens and you see that he's surprised when he sees you're up. "Jesus! They said you'd still be down after that fight." His expression goes back to his neutral face and behind him you see Houshou but she doesn't enter, instead she closes the door when Sarge goes in.

"Guess they're wrong." You check the time, you've been out just shy of 2 hours, that is short in terms of recovery. "What's the news Sergeant?"

He walks over and takes a seat on an empty chair near your bed. "Well there was clean up, questioning and other shit." He takes his helmet off and places it on his lap. "From what I got, they were Fascists. We found those red armbands with SS and swastikas on some of them, their weapons were dead giveaways really, Lugers, Walthers, you saw."

"I did."

"Now from witnesses I manage to ask, I can get the gist of this event. From what Houshou and the Akagi's 1st officer had to say, Nazis intruders, you stopped them, they died. Missing anything?"

Going through what you remember, you shake your head. "Sounds about right."

He sighs and rubs his eyes with his right hand. "You know this shits classified now right?"

"Yeah yeah, silence on the Nazis and their things when it happens. The civilians populace doesn't need to know that people are still fighting each other while monsters terrorize humanity. Gag order, morale, all the junk, got it. Anything else?"

"Yeah. While I was coming over, I saw our Captain and Major Sakamoto talking to one another, very loudly. Somethings up but I only got bits."

"So tell me."

Kerry leans forward and whispers. "Seems that the Major wants you to transfer or something like that to Europe. You can imagine that the Captain isn't happy about it."

"Understandable since he wouldn't let me transfer back to the 101. But why me?"

He just shrugs as he leans back and gets up. "No idea. Now that you're up we should get going. We shouldn't over stay our welcome."

He offers his hand and you take it. As you follow him out of the medical room, you look down and check your clothes. "Weird that I'm still geared. Also I need new pants." The only thing that you're missing is your Thompson.

"Later."

Out in the hallway you see Houshou and she bows when she sees you. That reminds you of something you've been wondering about. "Oh Miss Houshou?"

"Yes?" You observe that she isn't smiling.

"Do you know who shot those arrows?" Her face visibly pales a bit and that she's avoiding your gaze. When she doesn't reply you get the feeling that she did it. "Well whoever that person was helped me out and that I really appreciate that someone. Also thanks for helping me when I passed out."

You move away from her and follow the Sarge upward. You don't hear Houshou's footsteps till some time has passed. You find yourself back on the deck after some climbing to see your Captain glaring at Mio.

Their attention focuses on you once you step out. Captain Robert 'Brick' McCloud comes forth and slaps your shoulder. "Ah there's the my soldier. Right as rain even after fighting monsters and people. Specialist Browning I'll have you know that even after all the red tape you're going to get a promotion. Count on that." You just nod and fake a mild smile for him. His attention diverts to Kerry. "Sergeant, good work. You can do your report when we return to base, I just need to handle some business and we can go back."

"Roger that Sir. Major. Lieutenant." Kerry goes away while the Captain prevents you from going by holding your left shoulder.

"John, after speaking with Major Sakamoto, she wishes you to continue escort as the Akagi goes to Europe. Now I believe that's ludicrous just to have an MP on board their ship with no oversight." You detect a hint of annoyance from his voice.

"That's not true. Specialist Browning has enough integrity to do his job and more. I believe that his talents should be used to his fullest but since you refuse my first offer to have him transfer into the 501st Joint Fighter Wing as an MP, I ask that he be an escort. He can act as a liaison when we go to England, there aren't many on this ship that's good with English." She folds the arms in front of herself and frowns.

You see that the two are scowling at one another. Something hit them off poorly, time to do something about it.

I think the first offer it to join the 501st as an MP. The second is to simply escort the Akagi to Europe. I think the difference is that officially we'd be under the authority of the 501st with the first one while the second still has us technically in our current command. Just assigned to a different job.

[X] Accept the 2nd offer, speech challenge 65, charisma+speech+1d100.

I think we've made a decent connection with everyone involved, though there's a bit of an issue that despite knowing English we don't know Japanese. Which is kind of the entire point of liaising between two groups that don't speak the same language.

so with speech and charisma we get a base +30, yeah the first option needs a roll of 70 vs a roll of 35..

[X] Accept the 2nd offer, speech challenge 65, charisma+speech+1d100.
