To The Beginning IC: א

As Marisa, Nero and Caster began to chat, my attention was drawn to the empty helicopter in the courtyard.

"Huh." My brows tightened as, I thought about why it was there, and why there wasn't anyone in it. Because if there was, we would have seen them by now.

"Excuse me for a moment." I said to the girl, and began to walk to the military chopper. What did Caster say? 'An artefact, filled with more energy than the lightning of the sky.' Did she mean this machine?

And yet as I neared it, something in my mind tugged at me. A feeling. A memory. Somehow this....meeting?

Something about it felt familiar. I followed my intuition and kept moving.

As I stood in front of the helicopter, to the point of view of anyone else, I was making an ass out of myself.

"Hello?" Silence answered me. "Welcome to the Ryuudou Temple?"

I'm not even sure who I'm talking to at this point.

OOC: @Blackout. Plz don't make me seem like an idiot.

This guy... he seems familiar.

Okay...

As Viole grapples with the monster, I finally manage to correct my sensors. There are two guys flying towards us, one being the skeleton man, the other being a man with another unique magic signature. And suddenly, another group teleports in, with two females and two males. The males look like Waver Velvet, and what I assume to be Rider, and one of the females has a magic signature normal to this land, but the other is unique.

More SBers? Probably. I guess that lightshow is going to attract everyone in the city here like moths to a flame.

Hoo-kay, I fly Lazerbeak to meet the flying guy, and Ravage to meet the rest.

"Greetings. I am afraid we have little time here, but I trust you see how serious the situation is. To put a long story short, a short battle occurred here, after which Zouken took over Luke Skywalker of Star Wars and teleported away with Sakura. Ryuko Matoi, of Kill La Kill, went insane and transformed into some sort of monster that is attempting to kill everything. Viole Grace and my main body are engaging her right now."

I pause for a moment.

"I know how ridiculous that sounds, but it's the truth. The situation is extremely dire, and your assistance would be appreciated."

I have met him before. But when did this happen? How? What happened afterwards? Is this even the same person? I am Blackout, and yet I'm not, it wouldn't be impossible for this person to be the same guy I met, and at the same time not be. Another mystery to be left to later date, so best not assume anything.

Now, how to approach this...

I figure they already know the chopper is empty. Best go all in.

My main rotor extended a little, moving up, and the blades swung back like a bird's feathers. With the distinctive series of whirrs and clicks that any fan of Transformers would recognize as the switch between alt-modes, the various pylons and extremities spun in their place, arranging and re-ordering themselves for perhaps half a second, before the entire hull of the helicopter broke apart. Each f the parts moved, shifted, and separated before pulling back together, and after another second a distinct humanoid shape had formed, with both arms and legs taking shape.

Another half a second, and the details had settled, with a large cannon appearing out of my shoulder, and a cyclopean head with a single, glaring red eye forming as I pushed myself to my feet. My transformed form was roughly 60 foot tall in it's entirety, towering over the temple buildings around us.

"Greetings," I spoke, and a mechanical, flat voice droned out the words. Fair enough, Blackout never talked in the movie but that's probably what he'd sound like.

I grinned; I'd probably dazzle her with my knowledge about the war. "Maybe I can get her ta make one, but beware; she's an evil spirit. Anyway, I know all about tha war. An' yeah, I'm an ally of a master." Then, I smirked. "Anyway, nice ta meet ya, Servant Caster; I hope we'll have good dealin's with each other."

As the dove approached, I blinked. "Yer friends with animals?" I asked. That was... surprising.

"That would be good yes." Semiramis said and giggled for a few seconds. "I think I should be able to work with an evil Spirits, I am quite experienced with these kinds of beings." Especially considering her own mother had been a Divine Spirit. She was actually quite curious to know with whom the Girl was allied, but maybe it would be better to not probe for now.

"Doves have always been good to me and I have made it a habit to make them into my familiars whenever possible." She answered upon the question of the other witch.

Looks like I've been found by Gilgamesh. This is a worst case scenario. At the very least, EMIYA had the highest chance of any Heroic Spirit to defeat Gilgamesh.

The way I saw it, I had two options. I could block with Rho Aias. I kind of did not want to do this because of the two reasons. Every time a petal got destroyed, I would take damage. In addition, what makes Gilgamesh's armory so deadly is the varied effects of the Noble Phantasms. One of them could have a an effect that automatically kills me or something the moment I block.

My other option was to parry with traced Noble Phantasms from Unlimited Blade Works. This has the downside of pissing off GIlgamesh. At the same time, if he gets angry at a mere faker like me, he won't take me seriously. If this escalates, he probably won't bring out Ea until it is too late. If this does escalate, I will have to kill Gilgamesh. Unlimited Blade Works is a one trick pony against him. If he survives, the next time we fight, he won't fall for it again.

Thank you Eye of the Mind True for letting me strategize in this short window of time before the swords hit me.

I have spent 2.9994 seconds strategizing.

.0005 seconds until the Noble Phantasms hit.

"I am the bone of my sword," I intone.

If I am going up against Gilgamesh, I need to start bringing my Reality Marble closer to the surface. I can already feel my mind dulling. At the same time, tracing becomes faster and takes less prana.

.0002 seconds until they hit.

"Trace on"

.0001 seconds.

"RHO AIAS"

I shout the name of Ajax's shield turned defensive Conceptual Armament as the seven flower petals unfold before me.

It is said that this is the ultimate defense against any projectile or thrown weapon. I hope that I can weather this storm.
The swords slam into the seven-petalled shield with the fury of gods, tearing through two petals of the mighty shield. Though you seem to have avoided losing any more petals, you can feel the secondary effect of Legbiter taking its toll on you.
Up on the Mansion, you can spy a golden Archer with six "orbs" of shining gold floating around him.
"I suggest that you flee if you value your life"
Six more swords are promptly launched at you, most notably Hrotti and Tizona.

I grin. "Ah, I see," I say, nodding at Caster - because I'm pretty sure this is Caster. "I'm pretty good with 'em too. An' doves as a familiar?" I was slightly jealous - I - no, Marisa had never had familiars, from memory, and never found any books from Patchy's library about them. I'm still a bit overwhelmed by all this - the magic and all this.

I felt stunted for a moment. Not so much at the transformation - and not looking stupid in the end - but because this whole situation seemed...oddly familiar. Like my brain was saying, I shouldn't be surprised that this guy is a transformer, yet it was the first time I met one, right?

"...Hi." I said lamely. Okay, I've been quiet a few seconds too long. Let's see what to ask. "So, um, what brings you here?...To Fuyuki?"

Great. More lameness.

"Much the same, I would imagine," I drone out. "As that which would bring Sawada Tsunayoshi to these lands."

How do I even remember that name?

Wait, wait... it was that article on tvttropes. The picture seemed familiar somehow, and the name must have stuck. But looking back on it, it's the same guy I met in that... dream-thing?

This is getting weirder and weirder.

He knew me. By name.

I found myself smiling at his casualness. Guess no need to beat around the bush.

"So, SBer, SVer?"

His name. Blackout.

Something about it...

"S-silver W. King. Did you say Blackou-"
"Yes, why?"

So he is at least familiar with the name. Silver W. King, huh? I remember seeing the name get thrown around over a few quests, but never really interacted with the guy.

But beyond that, I know I have met a guy named Silver, who looked like Sawada Tsunayoshi. But when? How? He didn't introduce himself in that dream. Have I interacted with him since?

...My head hurts.

I know this guy. I know him. I know the name, but just-

I raised my hand to my temple to massage the sudden headache.

"Sorry, its just..." My visions. My missing memories. He has something to do with them. There was a robot there too. I think. "You... Your name seem familiar somehow but I can't place where. I..."

I shook my head to clear my thoughts.

"Anyways, did you just arrive?"

//If Blackout answers with an affirmative, I would fill him in on the current situation without telling him Caster's identity. Even thought he would already know who she is.

Then the witch queen fell silent as she waited for the Master of Nero to return from where he had gone to. She wondered if he had found something interesting since he had moved in the direction of the strange thing which had appeared recently in the Temple.

Caster?

Hmm, I suppose an SVer wouldn't tolerate GIlles, so that leaves another mystery.

Cyborg and another SVer?

That doesn't tell me much, so better not to waste thought on it.

However, my spine runs cold when he turns to speak of a contest of kings.

"You speak of global conquest? I will withhold judgement until I hear more, but I will not lie. Should I not find your cause satisfactory, I will fight against you when that day comes."

I'm not lying either. SVer or not, anyone who would touch my homeland will suffer.

"Recently, yes."

I let off a chuckle. "No, no. No in the whole 'gloom and doom, world domination style', besides, first things first is to fight off all the beings that are preying on humanity. The Dead Apostle Ancestor, Demons, and so on. Although there is a good chance we'll end up facing other organizations like the Mage Association."

I let out a sigh as the thought of all of our current foes overwhelm me. I smile lightly and push through it. It will be fine. We'll figure something out.

"But before any of that, we still have to end this war, with as little casualties as possible. As well as find a way to fix the grail."

I look at Blackout, feeling an odd camaraderie. There is still a feeling at the back of my mind telling me that I should know him. I feel that he is someone that I can trust to watch my back.

I follow that feeling and extend my hand to him.

"So what do you say? How about you join us and decide for yourself? Besides, we definitely need more people on board, if only to veto out the stupid ideas." I said with a grin as I start to find myself in high spirits.

"As I said, I withhold judgement. For now. Until then, an Alliance to end the Grail War with all haste would be in everyone's best interests."

The casual tone does irk me somewhat; this is not a topic to be discussed lightly. Still, other than an unvoluntary twitch of annoyance from my rotor blades, I make no further fuss out of it.

I look down at the hand he's offered, the one that barely reaches my ankles.

...

I grin. Sounds cool, her using familiars. Kind of like Alice-

No, I am myself, not Marisa, dammit! I wait for Silver to come back now.

"Okay." I accept his answer. Maybe I was being too easy going? Nah.

He looks at me, in what I think is confusion, or a dry look, at my extended hand. At that moment, it kinda hits me, how huge the guy is.

I laughed at the absurdity of the situation. "Yeah, that wouldn't have worked." I take back my hand.

"So, how about I introduction to everyone here?" I say in my normal half-cheerful, half-calm manner.

We head toward the group of Nero, Ze, and Caster. I make sure to hold back from laughing at the surprised look on their faces.

"Hey, so yeah. Nero, Marisa, Caster. This is Blackout." And in turn, and I introduce all of them to Blackout.

I look around with a sigh. Then, I hear an approach, and grin. Tsuna's coming back! I turn towards him... Then, I blink up at the giant robot standing behind him. "Huh, a giant robot?" I say. "Cool!"

OOC: Silver, please wait for the others to post their reactions (not saying that it's bad, posting reactions, but still). For instance, I'm not easily surprised.

Two petals gone.

Deep cuts sprouted all over my body. My left eye was blinded by the blood that flowed from a cut above it.

No doubt my organs were damaged somehow. If I took off my armor, there would be horrible bruising in addition to the lacerations that riddled my body.

In addition, Legbiter was taking its toll on me.

I'm in really bad shape considering that this fight has only gone on for a few seconds. I can still defend myself though.

Instead of trying to tank those swords, I decided it was time to parry.

"Trace on"

I analyze the swords being launched at me. In an instant, their perfect counters come to mind.

"Roll out, bullet clear"

The images are in my head.

"Freeze out, sword barrel open"

The swords materialize behind me and launch to intercept the blades that were shot at me.

Now that I have a good look at him, it appears that the Gilgamesh summoned here is the one from Fate/Prototype. This is good news for me because it means that I have an even higher chance of winning. In addition, I could also just negotiate with him rather than fight. He seemed like an agreeable person from what little was seen. Maybe he would tolerate a faker like EMIYA if our goals are the same.

"King of Heroes," I say as the my projections fly at his swords "I am a Counter Guardian sent to ensure your Master survives this Grail War. I cannot allow anyone or anything to get in my way. Not even you."

A bit melodramatic but it gets the message across.

I hope.

The golden king laughs at your statement. Another volley of weapons fires from Bab-ilu.

"Faker, for a no name hero you have quite an inflated opinion of yourself."

Dyrnwyn, Hauteclere, Ame-no-nuboko, Ashbringer, and more surpass the speed of sound twice over and rush at you like a stream of bullets.

And then your senses scream at you as a fountain of magical flame courses through the air from the tip of a jeweled staff. A man in red chants an incantation, a magic circle of blue and orange floating in front of his catalyst.

A magic far more powerful than could be accomplished normally, while by no means a once in a hundred years prodigy, Tohsaka Tokiomi possesses a substantial amount of magic circuits of exceptional quality. The strength of the magic can only be attributed to his mastery of jewelcraft. Jewels containing prana saved up over a life time.

A magical flame powered by a dozen A Rank spells snakes its way towards you. The rain of swords continues hailing down upon you as Master and Servant maintain their attack.

I'll admit, I got bored during Nero's speech. I was tempted to disagree with her. In my opinion, she was trying to achieve an... unachievable goal. And I had a much pessisimistic view of humanity.

However, I ultimately opted to keep my opinions to myself. As I preferred to do. Some part of me was unhappy with that.

"I'm going to the airport," I notify Caster via the telepathic link. "I need to meet my... 'clients'... and clear my head as well. See you in a few hours."

I excuse myself and leave. I head back towards the bus station, at a much more normal running pace of [23.11 km/h] this time. Nero's speech made me think.

I still didn't understand why some powerful entity decided to kidnap me and make me do its bidding. I'm not a hero. Never was. I (or at least the part of me which remembers being a university student. Having two vastly different sets of memories makes things increasingly confusing) am a lazy, cowardly, weak-willed person. Heroics... aren't my thing.

I also have little knowledge about the Nasuverse. In most cases I won't know which kind of bullshit I should expect from whom. A smallest mistake may lead to death. And I don't want to die.

And, frankly, I want to go home. I want to wake up and find that the recent... events have been just a dream. But, unfortunately, the world around me, which was fictional

Unfortunately, the universe (or the Multiverse?) is never that kind.

"Похоже, у меня нет выбора," I think aloud, still running. Suddenly being turned from a physically unfit human into an extremely fit cyborg is... weird. The fact that I could probably maintain my current speed almost indefinitely only adds to the weirdness. And unwillingly scanning everything I see within seconds or less isn't helping, either.

***

Some time later, as I approach the bus station, I decide to... proceed with my mission. I'll also try to find a way to go home, no matter how unlikely that seems. (One can hope, after all.)

Not that I have any choice.

I board the bus and pay the fee.

Once I reach the Fuyuki International Airport, I'll find a seat in an a waiting hall in the arrivals terminal, closer to the luggage claim section, and wait. Wait for my objectives.

[OOC: I'm not terribly happy with this post of mine, but this is the best I could put together.

...I think I'm ready for the timeskip now.]

You wait,

And you wait,

And you wait some more.

A plane touches down but you quickly learn that it was not departing from anywhere in Germany. You hear the roars of engines and the narration of the attendants warning passengers of which flights will be taking off soon. Babies wail, kids pull their parents along, the sound of life surrounds you as you sit waiting.

An attendant of some kind walks up to you and asks if there's some kind of problem.

As I finish, another matter comes to mind. Irisviel and the Einzbern Servant. I'm not sure if the Einzbern Servant is still going to be Arturia, but I really need to make certain so that we can plan around it.

"Lord Kayneth and Lady Sola, there is one more matter that I wish to ascertain. As per the records of this War, Irisivel von Einzbern should be arriving today with her Servant at the Fuyuki Airport. I do not know if she has already arrived yet though. My lord and lady, it might be prudent for either Lancer or I to go to the Airport and try to ascertain when they arrive, if they have not already, and track their movements."

Even as I speak, my thoughts are elsewhere. Sola is now my Master, she has little interest in the Grail War, and she's infatuated with Cuchulainn. Her disinterest in the Grail War is something that I can possibly capitalize on. She has little interest in it, and therefore has likely little love for being cooped up in this hotel with little to do. As I recall, she liked shopping, so maybe I can take her shopping during the day? It would hopefully boost her opinion of me, and if a few precautions are taken, such as a disguise, something to mask her Circuits and prana, and going during the day, it could be fairly safe for her to wander around for one day. Something to think on later....

Kayneth agrees with your assessment. In fact, he insists upon it.

Hmmm.

Maybe... I might have missed the flight. Or it hasn't arrived yet.

I turn towards the attendant, instinctively scanning him (there was nothing out of the ordinary about the man).

"Excuse me, were there any inbound flights from Germany recently?"

[OOC: I'm not happy about the quality of my post, but at least this gets things moving once again.]

"Then I shall take my leave." I say to Kayneth before bowing slightly to Sola. A small smile on my face, I turn and head down, the elevator music a comforting refrain that I echo as I hum.

As I reach the lower levels I astralize and leave the hotel, heading as quickly as I can to the airport. As an afterthought, I look around for any men who are about my size and by themselves.

The man looks at you for a moment, then woodenly answers your question.

"A flight from Germany came in about twenty minutes ago." He says pointedly. His hand waves over to a screen bolted onto the wall just over a kiosk. The screen displays information on what appears to be all incoming and outgoing flights.

Your trek is hurried as you take to the streets in astral form. The few people that wander the streets at these early hours of the morning continue none the wiser of your presence. Both man and animal are ignorant of your presence.

But you are not ignorant of theirs, and as you travel, you see a strange thing out of the corner of your eye. But you have little time to examine it. Though your instincts are not as honed as others, anyone would be able to sense the feeling of death emanating in the area. A small lighthouse in the dark. Danger.

Warily, I stop and try to gauge just what it is that's causing this feeling. Briefly, I think about simply ignoring this and moving on, or alternatively investigating whatever is causing this. Either one has drawbacks, but I have a mission...I guess I'll use the familiar bond and ask Sola to tell Kayneth about this?

"Master? Can you hear me?"
