First off- holy fuck mothering fuck am i late to posting this.
Second, apologies for the lateness of this. Both me and Sendi have been busy over the last month, and this kinda slipped into the back of our heads. Hopefully y'all stick around because it's only just getting weirder from here.
Anyways, enjoy~

You deliberate for a moment as a lightbulb appears over your head. Which makes you lose your train of thought as the light is very bright. Shooing the lightbulb away, it sulks off into the other room as Sam speaks up. "Shoulda mentioned that my place is haunted by a poltergeist, huh?" He smirks, and his infuriating smirk reminds you of what you were thinking about.
"So I've witnessed Sendi's raw destructive power, why doesn't he simply create a distraction while the rest of us blow in and grab the money, and then he can rendezvous with us when we depart or if it gets too hot for him?" You ask, the train of logic you're riding apparently going a lot faster than all of your compatriots, as they simply stare at you.
"You're joking right?" Fang asks, her snakey eyes hungrily looking at you and sighing. Well either that or planning your demise.
It was more than likely a sigh, given, she a moment later she looks away, eying Sam with a glint of worry as he drops to his knee's. His face is red and he's trying desperately to maintain his composure as he laughs like a maniac. Apparently, something is funny...
Sendi is the next to speak, though to Sam instead of you. "Sam, did you tell Maria absolutely anything about this?" He asks, the hint of annoyance in his tone almost palpable. You're honestly surprised he's sticking up for you. At this point, you've gotten used to Sam neglecting to tell you literally anything, but you oftentimes forget that he doesn't have the same "courtesy" for other people, who are much less tolerant of his antics.
"Nope! I haven't told her a damn thing...." He chokes out, much to your annoyance and to that of everyone else as Sam drops even lower on his knees. You kinda hope he dies of asphyxiation, but then again, you also feel that's too kind of a fate for him. Rolling her eyes and looking in your direction again, Fang starts talking.
"So what you need to know for now is that two things are a little different for 'acquisitionists' here in the Sea. Firstly, money is tight, as the economy is kinda rigidly monitored, and the harbor is only active about a third of the year. Secondly, since manpower can be relatively unreliable here, and electronics are absolutely useless against some magics, Banks, and other places employ a different means of security. They're creatures of immense speed and ferocity, kind of like flying piranha. Security firms control them through an experimental frequency which inhibits them, the same frequency the white devil stole for us." She finishes, and looks at Thomas, as if the brief explanation tired her out.
Picking up where she left off, Thomas sits up and scowls. "The Security is just as likely to eat a bank attendant as they are an intruder, but what Fang forgot to mention is that the frequency we stole only works on about two-thirds of the Security. We have Sendi for that last third." He mutters, casting a look at Sendi as he does so, who sits quietly watching the whole proceedings, before raising his hand curtly. Nodding at Sendi, Thomas looks down at his phone. Hope it's waterproof...
"One last thing. The justice system here is a little beefier than you might be used to. Every single city worker in this city knows how to bend Astral energy in at least minor ways. So they all have a trick up their sleeves. Which is why an actual assault on them is plain suicide, even for me. And then there are the Hunters..." As he says this, there is a collective shudder around the room. You assume that to mean the Hunters are worse than demons from hell to an Acquisitionist.
Sam recovers from his little fit and stands, clearing his throat. "Anyhow, since you've been brought up to speed and know absolutely everything there is to know about this city, how about we get this show on the road and make us some cash?" He says, gesturing to Thomas and grabbing his mask. As everyone stands and grabs their masks, you clutch yours and glare at Sam. Sometimes you really wonder why you're friends. You wonder what that says about you.

In the car, later
Soon, everyone piles into the not-at-all-suspicious-van-that-probably-has-bodies-in-the-back. Thomas, as any good water spirit should, drives to the bank, and Sam runs you through the plan again. "So to start, You're going to climb to the top of the tower on top of the building. Fang has another thumb drive to plug in and that'll give her partial access, which is all she needs. After that, we'll all move in. Sendi will play peacekeeper and make sure nobody makes any moves, probably by making a sacrifice to the gods on an accountant's desk, then we'll lock the way behind us. Fang will get us into the vault via her techie magic, we'll move the goods away from the blast zone, and then Sendi will disintegrate the back of the vault. Then we beeline for the van and get away. Simple. Not a single hitch in this plan. We're not all super desperate for money and depending on you not screw this up for all of us." He finishes, and you feel like he's giving you some pretty strong vibes. No pressure.

Pulling up to the back of the building Thomas slows to a stop and looks at you. "You're up Maria." He promptly informs, and you pull on your mask, the visage of Sams face covering your own. It confuses you, as he's literally advertising he's on this heist, but he takes this look of confusion to explain that as far as the system is concerned, he doesn't exist. A character from shadows, a menace unbidden, untraceable. Which sounds really cool but is also a needlessly dramatic way to say he's not registered as a citizen.
Sam hands you an earpiece, and you slipping out of the van, immediately looking at the wall ahead of you. You're at the back of the bank and there are a surprisingly large amount of footholds. Bringing yourself up the vertical wall, you feel the core of your body burning as gravity decides to try bringing you back down. Wait, how does gravity even work here? Shrugging the thought away you focus on the task at hand.
Pulling yourself up onto the roof, you have the fight the sensation of vertigo, lest you forget your balance and come crashing down to a gruesome death. You stand, walking across the slanted, tiled rooftop to the large cupola in the center. It has no windows or anything else that would make it easy to see into it, but there's a small latch with a simple padlock on it. Pulling your tools from you coat pocket you slip the torque wrench in and start picking the pins, the lock snapping open in a matter of seconds.
Opening the small latch, the interior of the cupola is dark, and you can't see very well inside. You step inside to expect your foot to land on more tile but are unpleasantly surprised to learn that air is not a very good foundation for feet. Falling about ten feet, you hit the hard stone floor with a thud. You would groan, but the wind has been knocked out of you.
Standing slowly you look around the dimly lit... cupola? Looking around it seems more like a dungeon than anything...
