_____So, finally got the map done. :) The question-mark gas masks are unknown quantities of people. They'll turn into more specific logos as the enemies are spotted.

@Sushi I have a barrage of questions. First, can Rachel see the enemies at B1 from her position at D4?

Do all Stalkers/players start with basic anomaly detection equipment? If not are these anomalies easily identified IC?

Last, if we are aiming to escape is it possible without needing to eliminate all the enemies?

She can see some figures through the smoke, but you'd want to attempt to spot them with a roll or wait for them to get closer.

I think @Yurihime Himeyuri has the one detector, but otherwise you need to eyeball them and/or throw bolts.

You don't have to kill anyone if you can book it fast enough.

Okay. I'll probably write up a post and do a roll. I wanna provide some pressure to keep them away from Isaac and Felix.

That's what I thought. Thankfully, I think Rachel has a clear line of retreat though she comes close to a few anomalies. I was wondering whether we could use the anomalies to slow down our pursuers.

Good to know.

Honestly, Bandits don't normally go into anomalous areas, so they might run right into them if you use more smoke or confuse them somehow. They're not as used to negotiating anomalies as normal stalkers.

Alrighty. Moving to D2 then.

@Druby
My plan is to hit D3 after and then E4 to get behind @Wizard_Marshall and @Yurihime Himeyuri
Oh, and we should probably get that artefact into the box before Issac grows a third arm or something :p

Do you or @Druby mind giving a hand to @Yurihime Himeyuri with the case, when you eventually reach them? Yuri thought Val could use some assistance. I'm not sure if Druby needs both hands to focus/handle the not-hot potato artifact.

@Sushi Can I make my Notice roll to make out the enemies following Isaac and Felix?

Sure. I don't mind helping out. No idea how much use I'll be, but I've had surprising rolls before :p

That would be your "action," so you wouldn't be able to go and fire at them in the same turn (so before the enemies move into place.)

You can move + action. So running away on its own would not comprise your action and you can still do things.

If you did something that involves rolling on top of movement (say, crawling into a hideaway, setting a decoy or using an anomaly as a trap) yeah that would be your action.

Cool. Well since I can't attack on the same turn, I was just planning to identify/make out the enemies chasing Felix and Isaac and then retreating to maintain distance with my next post, within this turn. No setting traps or going for cover.

Did you need any help?
Ah, sorry about that, RL stuff came knocking and I had to deal with it.
I've got most of the sheet done somehow, save for the backstory and the actual stuff the PC would be bringing.
Actually, would it be alright to ask you for some help with the equipment over PM?
Don't wanna clutter the thread.

I'd prefer it here, actually. Good point of ref for other people who are thinking about and keeps the thread bumped. So go ahead.

@Sushi I'll be making some changes to my profile, so far I've only changed the name of the stunts but I do plan on re-working character's name for a better one along with an improved bio.

Hey, for something interesting, make her faction "Military Stalker" instead of Loner. We'll go with Veteran.

If @Wizard_Marshall is okay with it, I had a bit of an idea involving Steel Mother and Grey Wolf.

So I'm thinking we change one of her aspects or add one to the extent that some of her old war buddies made a treasure hunting crew in the Exclusion Zone, raking in the cash until Steel Mother herself backed out. Then one day, they vanished off the face of the earth, prompting her to go back and investigate, having no idea her comrades died fighting alongside Grey Wolf...
