The Witching Power IC

I simply rolled my eyes at her remarks and sighed "Just knock first already please? If needed I could bring us in so just do it. But.."

"Are you sure leaving your barrier will be okay? There is one veteran Puella Magi around and one other that have a terrifying ability that most likely able to bypass your familiar" I said slightly concerned looking back at her entrance that's right in the middle of the road "The one with me right now is just a meat puppet no? Your body still has a risk of dying by Meguca after all"

"Maybe put it upward to the sky or down inside the ground or something?" I shrugged

Haych stops knocking, rubbing her chin thoughtfully. "You've got a point. Hang on." Her eyes unfocus and her face goes slack as she relocates her barrier. She stands at the doorway, swinging from side to side. Then she blinks, the light of thought returning to her. "Okay, my barriers deep down below. Give or take a few leagues below sea level."

The young eldritch turns back towards Tsuki. "You sound like you know who lives here. Who is it?"

"I...No? Tsuki has a suspicion though" I said extremely unsure and slightly paranoid looking around "Now that Tsuki thinks about it, the suspicion might be true too"

"We might be...in Mitakihara City, Japan. Tsuki doesn't have a solid proof but judging how we turned into a witch and the cliche situation of ours reminiscent of self-inserts.." I shook my head "It's baseless but Tsuki's pretty sure we're in Mitakihara now"

"As for this house..it's nothing special if we just looked at it alone. However, it gives me a bad feeling and if we assume this is Mitakihara..." my voice slightly shaking at this point as my mind connecting the points "Tsuki won't remember if this mansion is not important but since Tsuki do remember and If Tsuki thinks about it..."

"This might be the home of Akemi Homura's...might be" I slightly stressed the last part as if to reassure my ownself.

She looks back over her shoulder, "hey Lils, what do you...? Oh, she's asleep, never mind. What about you Terry? You feeling this too?"

The road we traveled along felt as old and decrepit as the manor we had just escaped from coupled with how quiet the environment was I raised my alertness to another notch as I continued leading the group down the road in hopes of civilization, I hope there is civilization if not I think I might just cry tears of blood and frustration.

I write another note and hand it off to Ada, "Something is screwy here and it might affect us"

@UbeOne

"Terry?" I ask, before realizing that she just gave me a nickname. "Oh." That's not a common occurrence, but okay?

You know... it's really silent in here. Sure, I hear no cars and such, but even if we're far from the city, where are the sounds of nature, of chirping birds, the whistling wind, the rustling leaves, and such? "It's quiet... too quiet."

I can't help but take a more guarded posture as I continue to accompany the others.

"Well, we could go away or..." Haych trails off, before breaking off into a wide grin. "We stay around and meet her! That's the fun way. It's not like I'll lose much if she mulches me. And my barrier is waaaaay underground."

Then her grin turns into a frown, looking back at Tsuki. "But will you be alright?"

"There's no guarantee this is actually hers or if she even around.." I sighed slightly resigned. Of course, she wants to meet her, why would I think otherwise.

She's right though, as long the actual witch in the Barrier survive it's fine for her, which made hiding her Barrier is a good idea. It's the complete opposite for me, however. Inside my Barrier, I will almost be untouchable. Outside of it? Without my Mirror, I am barely as strong as a human, which is bad for my survival if it gets out that I am a Witch. I don't know what being Grief Seed's like but I don't want to be handed to Kyubey or the rest of his kind.

"..Don't worry, Tsuki has my own way," I said softly before handing my compact mirror to Love and went inside it. It's still the same featureless world but there's my Armour here with me now. It's....a bit distorted, I guess wherever Love store this mirror it was near pitch black.

"Tsuki will be safe here, so don't worry" For a moment, I am appeared in the mirror reflection before disappear again, leaving the usual reflection on the mirror.

"Never too quiet...maybe they all fled from the presence of multiple barrriers?"
"Oh hey, you're awake! Well, personal noise level preference aside, there's decidedly womething wrong about this. Normal people wouldn't notice, and I'd expect Magical Girls to descend on the feast. And yet there's nothing. Now the only question is 'what the hell do ee do about it?' Anyone got any suggestions?"

I see it's almost unanimous that there's some bad juju going on here whether it's us being to cause or some random being that threw us here that is causing it doesn't matter what does is deassing the area as soon as witchingly possible, to that end I decided to write a note with my suggestion of, "Let's leave the area as quick as possible and bother about thinking on what's going on here later, I have a vague plan for us all that requires being not here" which I pass to Therese to read

with the note passed I decide to get Ada's attention in a more direct fashion than my notes by looping an arm around one of hers and lightly tugging the arm, hopefully, she'll get the message. What's that you say? there are better ways to go about this? Too bad I'm doing it my way, certainly no ulterior motives here no sirree.

"Tsuki will be safe here, so don't worry" For a moment, I am appeared in the mirror reflection before disappear again, leaving the usual reflection on the mirror.

Haych blinks and examines the mirror, peering into its depths. But no matter how much she scrutinizes the mirror, only her curious reflection looks back. Shrugging, Haych opens a hole in her chest and shoves the mirror inside. No safer place, really. There are other less disgusting ways of going about it, but eh. She isn't one for creativity.

Haych looks around for bystanders. Finding none, she leaps up to the window and lands precariously on the ledge. She rubs her chin, going through her options. She presses her hand against the window and concentrates. A moment later, the glass melts and sizzles as Haych's secretions do their work. As a result, she reaches the other side and unlatches the lock. She pumps her fist in celebration.

Now, you would question her sanity for going into the home of a prominent magical girl. And you would be right to do so. But with her barrier safely away and Tsuki practically untouchable, she could afford to mess around. Even if Homura did mulch her Vessel into a bloody pulp, it wouldn't really affect her that much.

Carefully stepping through, Haych looks around. It is what you would expect of the fairly conservative Homura: minimal furniture, decoration, and appliances.

There is also a fuck ton of guns. Live every thing that you would store something in has at least one gun in it.

Shrugging, Haych opens a hole in her chest and shoves the mirror inside.
Oh, Come on! Again?! First, it's Lili, now meat girl, why both people I gave mirror with me in it like to cover it. And, it's worse too since it's completely pitch black now. This is completely ughhhhh-...no calm down me, calm down. I simply have to talk about it right now with Love instead of just buried it and stay silent like when I was with Lili.

But even if I shout loudly right now, I doubted she will hear me clearly enough. Hmm, I don't really wanna do it but it's an emergency. I take a piece of mirror from my armour, while pointedly not looking at it, and shapes it into a thin long needle. This should do.

I take a deep breath before pushing the needle out, through the mirror and Love's flesh.

"Umm, Love? Would you kindly take the mirror out? It's really uncomfortable when you put it inside" My voice comes out from the tip of the needle that poking out from Love's body. I am myself a bit surprised with how...cold I sound, but I guess I am a bit stressed "Also find anything? Like something that indicating whose the owner of the house? Tsuki didn't sense anyone so Tsuki doubt there's anyone home"

"Hehe, oops?" Haych scratches her cheek, embarrassed. Reaching into her guts, which seals itself back in moments, Haych drew out Tsuki's mirror. Forming a sticky patch on her chest, Haych sticks the mirror on, reflective-surface first. "And here I thought you were going to make some off-color joke about you being inside me and you using only the tip. No? Well, I made it anyway."

She looks around and picks up an M16 lying on a nearby desk. A casual inspection reveals that the gun is well-maintained. "Guns. Lots of guns. Rifles, pistols, and grenades... I think I can make a pretty confident guess on who lives here."

I make my way to an abandoned shrine just outside of Mitakahara, Iron Ozbourne following behind me. I rip open a new Barrier in the basement, returning Iron Ozbourne to the barrier and summoning a rather....less random group of Impersonators to begin remodeling the shrine, cleaning up and covering up any wear or mold they can't fix directly.

Meanwhile, I order a pair of Shishi to replace the ones at the door, standing at guard against non-humans that I do not specifically grant access in their presence and returning to the Barrier at sundown, staying for a hour before returning to guard if no new orders are issued.

Ah, comfort we meet again, how nice to see you again where have you been the last few hours?.

Perhaps I'm being a bit melodramatic with my insistence to leave this place but seriously there's something about it that screams "bad shit happens here" in bright letters, thankfully I've got my significant other Kini/Ada here which does wonders for the nerves of a neurotic witch let me tell ya along with Lils and the gang, we're all leaving to find civilization as fast as possible, we have a vague plan once we reach civilization, and I have a solid mental list of how things can go wrong so I have something to consult when a shoe drops somewhere, yes things are looking up for us.

While I continue my mental diversions I lead the group ever farther along this winding road which dear Mado above is way too long to be practical for anything but a statement that whoever used to live in that manor hated all who visited them and wanted everyone to know it.

"Some sort of crazy survivalist..." trails off Haych as she picks up a picture from a nearby counter. It is of a young brunette wearing pigtails nervously posing in front of the picture as another pink-haired girl practically clings to her back. They look happy. "...Or this girl." Turning over the picture, she has a name. "Akemi Homura."

"Hee..how convenient, a photo with a name behind it? What are the chances" I snark unamused in a very flat tone "It checks out with my gut feeling from before too, wow...this totally doesn't smell like a cliche or trap or bad news"

"What next? Will we meet the owner of the house shortly and followed by a misunderstanding?" I sighed in resignation "So, what do you want to do next Love?"

Haych's face scrunches into a look of concentration as she considers Tsuki's questions. "Uh, I don't know, really. I just broke into here for the hell of it and I don't think Homura would appreciate our presence if we stay here. Especially since I melted her window to get in... Anything you want to do, Tsuki?"

"Hmm, nothing really. Tsuki probably need to open my barrier sooner or later, but it can be done later" I ponder halfheartedly before shrugging "We could just wait for her to be honest or meeting other magical girls, there should one lonely veteran around if I am right, or just in a killing spree for a certain bunny-rabbit"

"So...how are we going to deal with the fact that me and some of the others are small?"
I pat Lils lightly while she got comfortable atop my head whilst I thought there were options here that I could give but I was unsure how it might go over with them, for me there was the somewhat easy route of that when establishing identities they would be that they were adopted by me, Ada, or both of us and for school-related purposes were homeschooling or the second option which was the adopted plan but instead of homeschooling we enrolled them in a school, a horrible idea that in my opinion but it had to be considered. I might as well share the two options with Lils and the others, moving my patting hand away from Lils I pull out the small notepad in my pocket I made to write before I realized my writing arm was currently quite busy leading Ada so I would have to think of another way.

A thought occurred to me and I willed runes onto the page on the pad satisfied it read what I wanted to say and handed the paper to Lils.
