Taylor: Then congratulations, Director Fury, all your employees' families now have fleas. Now imagine what the Nazi parahumans or the yakuza dragon would do.
(Incidentally, I vaguely remember reading a one-shot where the Undersiders respond to the PRT exposé of Taylor's identity by, among other things, publicising the personal details of all the Protectorate capes involved in the operation. Can anyone remember which one that was?)
That's not what I'm talking about. I mean they rarely do anything with the characters on the Index. They did the one show with Scorch and then that was pretty much it... and Crusher. And Crusher wound up being the monster of the week. (was it Crusher or Absorbing man. I can never remember) Scorch was just trying to live his life before Centipede came along and made him the monster of the week. I'm doing something with a few of them that are just trying to get by, that have little to no criminal aspect to them.
I don't know. Lung is gonna be high tier as far as the MCU goes. Sure, they could take him out, but someone's gonna be tempted by the power he brings. I see Hydra trying to bribe him into service with booze and whoresExactly. Earth Bet has been carefully fucked up by Cauldron and the Entities to breed parahumans.
Without PLOT, organizations like the Empire or a singular creature like Lung could never last.
Actually, if we take the way they deal with interrogations and the occasional ghost it is obvious they got some really good M/S protocols already. Main problem is that Hydra infiltrated them at the really long term, as in their grandfathers started the process. M/S are short term solutions, and even the longer periods of surveillance are measured in months, not entire generations.I'm seriously looking forward to Taylor explaining Master/Stranger protocols to Fury years before she's proven right.
You weren't even born when Eden died, Taylor. Stop resumé padding.Taylor: *shrug* I also mind-raped three realities of super-powered beings to kill a god and his wife but yeah, if you're fixated on my misspent youth, whatever.
Before it gets too crazy. Remember the official Avengers wasn't even formed until the threat to the world in 2012. We're still a ways off. So there's no "leader" of what will be The Avengers anytime soon.
That might seriously impact her mission focus.
Did we ever decide/figure out anything about Thunderbolt Ross' Super Soldier formula? The initial dose seemed like it turned Blonsky into a good imitation of Captain America, at least physically.
There didn't seem to be any visible side effects on the first dose either, at least short term. The "fun" didn't start until they dosed him again to save his life.
Was there any follow up on that in any of the source material? Anyone have any thoughts on it? It just seems like the kind of loose end that shouldn't be left laying around.
It'd be really funny if he did. Not for himself though.
There's at least two of them.(Incidentally, I vaguely remember reading a one-shot where the Undersiders respond to the PRT exposé of Taylor's identity by, among other things, publicising the personal details of all the Protectorate capes involved in the operation. Fury: "Right, and how does that apply to you?"I'm seriously looking forward to Taylor explaining Master/Stranger protocols to Fury years before she's proven right.

Get enough control over the pesticide/insecticide market and he can limit what other people have access to by controlling either supply or new varieties of bug killing technology. Or both. Given technological advances brought about by the emergence of super powered minds, bug control could go through massive changes... if he let it. And to make Taylor's job of infiltrating something easier he could restrict supply to places she would be visiting a couple of months prior to her insertion.
After all, once Taylor's been employed for long enough, he'll have some measure of trust and understanding for her (I'm not saying he wont have plans, 'just in case') so he'll know that she's happy to do things to help people, and while her methods can be brutal she's not actually intending on going supervillain. Unless he forces her to, which he wont because he's not from Earth Bet.
There's at least two of them.

Fury: "Right, and how does that apply to you?"
Taylor: "Considering how much information I can get from a wide area from creatures that represent more of the biomass on the planet than humans do? Difficultly."
Fury: "Right, we're going to want you onboard just to avoid that stress then."
Taylor: "Ah, don't worry. Just think, it'd be even worse if I could control people."
I mean, I was trying really really hard. But it was probably a coincidence. Probably.Fury: *blinks* you can't can you?
Tayor: Well, not anymore.
Fury: I think I'm getting a headache.
Taylor: I didn't do it... maybe.
Soldier Mentality. It's the only thing that makes sense. Soldiers just weren't close enough to Cap for the formula to work as expected.Looks at wiki... wait, they used the original super soldier formula? Then what the hell were thay having so much trouble with? Was it the Vita Ray thing Stak created? He was still alive for a long time following that So what could the problem have been?![]()
Even Cauldron tells you that the mentality mattersSoldier Mentality. It's the only thing that makes sense. Soldiers just weren't close enough to Cap for the formula to work as expected.
