I'd say she's thoroughly pulped. Two shots, her shield can only take one. She's very human below said shield.

I'd say you can pretty well chalk it up to sounds-a-few-giant-teeth-short-of-Abyssal instincts added to warship instincts added to being just a few minutes into coming down off a combat alert, but there's no denying that without the internal-narration viewpoint we got as readers it looks pretty much like unprovoked bloodlust. We'll have to see where it goes from here, but at the minimum she's got some serious 'splainin' to do.

It's mostly the Blue-On-Blue. Currently it feels a bit like unnecessary drama, but in a vague way. Your solution to this incident, once I've read it, will probably dispel that feeling. At least that's my hope.
