    • I love the implication that a human being is the only thing a abomination made from the flesh of an elder god can tolerate. Humans are so mentally flexible. I wonder what legends Shade has spawned.

    You know, all of this reminded me of the fan accepted idea that the movie Event Horizon was a stealth sequel to the Hellraiser movies.

    Leave it the insanity of humanity that they would somehow bond with Eldritch Old One space ships . . . pity the rest of the universe and the other species within.

    Shade is taken by The Entity, under the assumption of him being just like the other survivors. Weak, helpless, used as 'Meat' to harvest hope and fear from through the specters and killers and what have you in it's realm of horrors.

    Naturally, Shade proves that hypothesis wrong.

    Considering all the silly manga/manwha out there of someone being reincarnated as the child of some cold-hearted powerful being, usually royalty, and eventually wins them over with adorableness and unconditional love, I wonder how a Shade-SI would fare as a child of a main antagonist from one of the Final Fantasy games.

    Imagine Shade, utterly terrified and infuriated that he has engage in such behavior in order to survive being the spawn and morality pet of a powerful, and potentially a omnicidal, megalomaniac with aspirations of godhood.... like say Kuja, for example.

    • If you've been paying attention, I've written a short original story in the Unlisted Fiction Category.

    Having written it there, and keeping myself true to what I promised myself a long time ago that anything original I wrote would end up self-published, I've done a bit of formatting, fixed a few errors of Canonicity (which nobody noticed in the first draft) and made some fixes to some names that went from being one way to being another through the chapters.

    Also just a few, very brief, paragraph additions here and there.

    If you're read the original draft, little has changed. On the other hand, if you haven't, and want to go read it, then it's in the Unlisted Fiction section of SV.
