Yes, that's right, which isn't a plan vote now I think about it, exactly. Really, the way it's set up I don't really need the plan vote reference, so I just took that out entirely.
[X]"We should prioritize people in unsafe situations, or who don't have someplace secure to hole up in."
[X] Plan Food and Shelter
-[X]Secure the neighborhood, and the neighbors. Check on houses, starting with the closest by. Introduce yourselves, offer assistance and construction help. See if they would be willing to take in strays you bring home.
-[X]The large animal vet's farm. You'd rather an ongoing deal not be soured by her being eaten. See what you can trade, and if you can secure her place.
-[X]Shopping trip, take two. They should go to the shops north of the river, including the butcher's.
[X]Stick around to see if she has more luck. You wanted to talk to some people anyway.
-[X]Talk to Dani and Shauna.
Added this note to the day plan, since I'm not sure if it was clear before: You have three groups available. You may choose as many trips as you want, but this increases risk and fatigue.
[X]"We should take it on a case-by-case basis, but not go looking for people to bring back here."
[X] Plan Priorities
-[X]Elena's gun collection. You could use a lot of guns and ammunition, at the moment, without fighting your way through a shopping line. See what she'll agree to.
-[X]The large animal vet's farm. You'd rather an ongoing deal not be soured by her being eaten. See what you can trade, and if you can secure her place.
-[X]Dispose of the corpses on the lawn. It's unhygienic.
-[X]Shopping trip, take two. They should go to the shops north of the river, including the butcher's.
Listed in order of priority
I.e., stop more zombies if we can, get more guns to stop more, and we don't want that sh** in our garden.
[X]Leave a message for your accountant and head out to the hospital.
We really gotta try this thing to see if it works. Also, we should stop more zombies.
Can we pick more then one?
[]"We should prioritize people we know. You can contact your friends and relations, and we can build from there."
[]"We should prioritize people with useful skills, like soldiers, nurses, and police."
Because taking in a doctor with the price being going on a mission to get the wife and kids would be worth it but I don't think were there yet but it seems something to keep in mind.

How hard does Morgan think it is to set up magic/and or mundane barriers to keep the undead/zombies specifically/hostiles out. I'm asking to see how much we can trade on it to set up little communes like we are shaping up to be in places like the vet's farm and how long it would last as a unique trade good IE are we setting up potential client states or potential rivals/competitors. I guess I'll also ask how hard it would be to do the town and how much would being the Mayor/having a coven help?

Morgan is researching the details on zombie wards tonight, but here are a few preliminary thoughts:
Minor ritual/ward: 8 hours before recharge.
Regular ritual/ward: 8 days before recharge.
Major ritual/ward: 8 years before recharge. This is the level of protection around Morgan's house.
It has occurred to Morgan that if they combine a blood ritual declaring themselves feudal ruler with the major enchantment ward around their property line, they may be able to ward the whole town against zombies/hostile intruders. This would require general acknowledgement of them as leader within the town, backup singers (a coven, perhaps), at least a month of daily prep time + time to carve stones and gather other major ritual ingredients. You've missed the last full moon, so it's going to be a few weeks before it would be time to decide whether or not this is a good use of your time. [I was going to hold off on mentioning this until a later plan choice, but since you asked....]
Recharge: wards based in Morgan's magic can be recharged with blood sacrifice or magical power. You have to know how to do it, so a witch couldn't just come in and start recharging a ward Morgan created. Morgan's wards would be an ongoing trade, not a one-off deal.

A few more questions if you don't mind what are the possible merits/demerits of being out as a vampire given they were described as hidden things and were a force toward the Veil.
What qualifies one as a worshiper/true believer for the purposes of spirit score and is the benefit of say a token prayer of thanks for protection before bed noticeable.
Do things from a matching myth have an out sized oomph when compared to other offerings and can Morgan benefit from more traditional offerings to the dead and more traditional offerings to other spirit archetypes and how stable is Morgans archetype IE in a decade of annual festivals could we reasonably shift Morgans archetype and/or give them belief food poisoning.
I'm asking because I want to know if Morgan could be payed in prayer/grave goods for setting up wards or at least defray costs.

Morgan is playing fast and loose with the Veil right now, it's true.
The basic demerit of messing with the Veil is that someone will squish you. For instance, a lot of different people/monsters are right now making plans to squish this necromancer, including Morgan. Mild Veil-breaking in the interest of containing a major Veil breach like a zombie plague would get you the equivalent of community service, if there was a governmental board that oversees these things. (As far as Morgan knows, there is not, just a loose association of people who want to keep a secret and who are willing to kill for it.) In Morgan's case, that would be the equivalent of working as an Obliviator, wandering around jedi mind tricking folks into going 'zombie plague? what zombie plague? Oh, that bad flu. Curse you, flu.'
I'll notify you if Morgan gains any true followers, which bring in a daily spirit income. Morgan's current daily spirit income of 3.1 is their share of the global population's general belief in vampires. Questions involved in calculating spirit income: is this belief in vampires, or Morgan specifically? Is it general knowledge/finding them spooky, or is it specific worship/hatred/adoration? How intense is the feeling - by rote, fanaticism?
Basically, this is why vampires set up courts, because being a vampire king is a powerful thing.
Levels: Devotee, follower/enemy, ??, acquaintance, knows about vampires in general.
Morgan's mythic profile has already changed, based on the general belief about vampires, from a more strigoi-like profile when they rose. Right now, it'd take a good number of people, because generalized belief of millions is a powerful thing. That's if you wanted to change it to something weird, like being able to drink vegetables. Something like 'secretly a great swordsperson' would be a perk you could pull off if you could get enough people to believe in it. No, you can't jedi mind trick people into true belief, it's one reason Morgan doesn't like jedi mind tricking people too hard.
Being paid in prayer is a nice idea, but people aren't very good at believing things just because it would be useful, so that's not reliable income. It's more like farming - you plant the seeds in their minds, and some of them might sprout into true followers.
To be honest, part of why I haven't shared all the math with y'all is I don't have all the math and worship levels worked out yet for spirit income. But it is an important part of the game, and thanks for poking me to work on it!

What did y'all want to talk to Dani and Shauna about? Off the top of my head, get to know them a little better, persuade them to stay/go, get more info about their day, see if they have useful skills...?
Does Morgan get any share from global belief in undead/the supernatural?
Just to be clear at the individual level it is the individual's belief not mass consensus that effects what happens when they do things. IE There is a wide spread belief that burning paper facsimiles of goods at grave markers will see genuine copies of goods with the one buried there. An individual who doesn't believe this burns some, no new spirit income is generated but the buried spirit gets a slice of the existing global belief. Bonus question #1 is it in the form of energy, the goods burned or the shape of common paper facsimiles of goods that are burned in general Bonus question #2 superstitious towns folk who do believe watch them do it, what happens? Bonus question #3 They only believe he did owing to their reputation he doesn't actually burn real goods just has a smoke and leaves the ash smeared on the grave what happens? Bonus question #4 For races that share a specific profile is there conservation of ninjustu? That is if there was a sudden die off of say zombies would the remaining zombies get stronger?(if zombies don't count because there not intelligent how about vampires?)
I'd like to get a feel for Dani and Shauna, see if they or anyone they know have useful skills and if it's safe plant the seed of rumors about Morgan specifically they are a friendly/good vampire and they can cast magic wards.

Morgan's share in global belief in the supernatural is folded into the vampire number, but it's indirect enough not to be very useful.
0. Yes.
1. Depends on the local belief system.
2. Small percentage of spirit energy generated from the witnesses.
3. Same witness energy, no result from paper burner.
4. Yes, Morgan's share of belief in vampires is divided with all the other vampires. Less vampires=more personal power. This only applies to spirit-based creatures, which zombies are not. Dryads would be another example of a spirit. Animism system: everything has a spirit, whether major or minor.
Also, direct prayer is not a good method for vampires because no one believes in praying to vampires. Maybe if you impersonate a different sort of spirit? It would take some planning.

What about an ancestor spirit? Given that our exact kind of vampire is that, effectively. Or the Henderson family's pacted guardian spirit, who is open to expand that pact to the city and it's inhabitants as a whole?
Possible, but you run into the problem of actual belief again. So, for instance, for someone to worship you as an ancestor spirit, they would need to worship ancestor spirits in general.
Morgan has actually met a Chinese vampire who keeps track of their descendants and functions as the family's ancestor spirit.

-[X]Talk to Dani and Shauna.
The meeting wraps up with a plan to prioritize people in unsafe situations, your neighbors, and securing food supplies for you and the household. You honestly weren't paying that much attention, you were thinking about magic and spirits.
"I think we might still have a couple guest rooms spare," you tell Dani and Shauna. "So you don't actually have to sleep on the couches. Henderson? Bob Henderson, that is."
"Call me Bob," he sighs. "Yes, the last two rooms at the end of the south corridor upstairs are free."
"Right. Sheets?"
"They're all set," he confirms.
"I'll show you," you tell the girls. "This way."
"That was some meeting," Shauna comments as you head upstairs. "Very gung-ho. I expected y'all to start singing military marching tunes."
"I certainly hope not," you say. "I wouldn't know the words."
"I really thought it was just us," Dani said quietly. "Our own Night of the Living Dead."
"I won't ask about it again," you offer.
"No, you need to know, right? For your big gung-ho plans." Dani attempts a smile. "I'm not really sure exactly. We were all dancing, and I'd had a lot to drink. It was dark, people were yelling… Jacob grabbed me and started dragging me upstairs, and I grabbed Shauna. We were this human chain, it was funny at the time."
"I thought he was trying to rape her," Shauna put in.
"Shay! He's my friend. I mean, kind of. I do know him. And he saved us, so we're definitely friends now."
"You met at nerd club, didn't you."
"No. We're in baking club together, for your information."
"How long have you two been friends?" you ask, leading them down the upstairs corridor. Not this room, it has luggage. Not that one either. Ah, this one seems empty, good.
The girls glance at each other.
"Tonight?" Dani offers.
Shauna nods.
"We were roommates this year," Dani explains. "We're not really into the same things."
"Oh?"
"She likes dressing up as an elf, and I don't," Shauna interprets.
"I have never dressed up as an elf in my life," Dani mutters.
"Good, I can't recommend them," you comment. "They're shifty."
The girls exchange a speaking look, and Shauna asks, "Says the vampire?"
"I know wherefore I speak," you shrug. "This is your room, bathroom's the third door down the hall with the floral doorknob. Towels there," you gesture at the armchair by the window overlooking the driveway and the pile of zombie corpses. You still have to figure out what's going to be done with those. Maybe someone else will before you have to think about it again. Burn them? Toss them in the creek?
"Thanks," they echo.
"So, Jacob dragged you both upstairs, barricaded you inside that bedroom and started chanting?"
"He explained, first," Dani said. "Said he knew a spell that should work but that we couldn't interrupt him or open the door."
"What the plan?"
"Hide? Midmorning someone started shooting and we could see they were wandering off that direction. Someone had to come eventually. And you did…."
You'd considered not investigating and taking care of the million other things you had to do tonight. You can't say you regret the decision now.
Shauna yawns, and then pretends she didn't.
"Did you two get any sleep?"
"No? It wasn't really restful there," Dani says.
"Same," says Shauna.
"Well, I'll leave you to your rest." Soon. "What do you do, Shauna, if it's not nerd handicrafts?"
"I knit."
"If you're trying to ask if we have survival skills, I don't think my extensive knowledge of medieval blacksmithing techniques is really going to be that useful in a zombie movie?" Dani offers.
"Actually – do you know anything about goldsmithing?"
"Um. Yes?"
"We may come back to that later. You are hereby forbidden to die or wander off too far."
Dani laughs.
"Thanks, I guess."
"I'm wandering off," Shauna comments. "I'm headed home just as soon as I can get on a plane."
"Where are you from?" you ask.
"Louisiana."
Oh. Dear.
"Did… I did mention that the South is a quarantine zone, and the Army has been mobilized there?"
"I don't care. I don't care, I'm getting home and we're all gonna be fine. I got a little brother, you get me? He's okay. He's got to be okay."
She bursts into tears, and you and Dani end up helping her sit down on the edge of the bed and patting her shoulder. Is there anything more awkward than a stranger crying? You feel quite helpless.
In the midst of this exercise in empathy, Jacob pokes his head into the room.
"Ah – hello," he greets you. "Bad time?"
"No," you say, "I should show you your room, next door."
"Sure." He frowns at the girls, but you lead him away with a hand on his arm, to his own room. "Were you looking for them or for me?"
"A little of both," he says. "In case I didn't see you tomorrow, I wanted to say thank you properly for the save. I really do appreciate it."
"It's no trouble. You're sure you can't stay?"
"I appreciate the offer, but no. I have to get back to my friends. I emailed, and they'll come pick me up in the morning."
That was a thought. Did your accountant have an email account? He did generally keep up with the times. If he did, it would be in your papers…. One thing at a time.
"Your friends. This would be your coven?"
"Actually, um, them and a few other people."
"Not the vampires you mentioned, I imagine, in daylight."
"Ah. No."
You look at him inquiringly.
"Kristine and her boyfriend are going to come get me. She's… we fight crime? I mean, evil. We fight evil."
You purse your lips.
"Does evil happen to include vampires, by any chance?"
He meets your gaze for the first time during the conversation, blue eyes calm and serious.
"Yes. That shouldn't be a problem, should it?"
"I'm very fond of vampire hunters this year," you say. "Is she from a hunter family?"
"Oh, no. She's 'the Chosen One.' She's super embarrassed about it."
The Chosen One. The Chosen One, who specifically should be in the south, at the center of this mess, is here. In your town. Attracting trouble, and not stopping the apocalypse.
Wonderful.
[]Ask Jacob to set up a meeting with the Chosen One. Try to sound calm.
[]Ask Jacob to stick around, you could use his help with magic.
[]Go back to the other room and ask Dani to stick around.
[]Go back to the other room and ask Shauna to stick around.
[]Ask more than one of the college kids to stick around.
