The Radiant Shepherd - A Warhammer 40K God-Emperor Quest

[x] Aid or Hinder Navigators (3 points) Speed your peoples ships
[x] Commune (4 points) The 3 greatest supplicants that are always at the edge of the palace. Divine vision to rally ships to head to stop the 13 black Crusade.
[x] (3 points) Blessing to the three supplicants for speech and command.

We can easily win Cadia just send people to help.

Applied insanity.

I'll stick to canon unless specifically contradicting something. There's just so much that I'm likely going to do so by pure accident already.

I will read absolutely every post of yours with a German accent in my mind.
I just wanted you to know that. Consider this a post from Cegorath, who does not entirely disapprove of the God of the Monkeys stopping the galaxy from going even more tits-up than it already is.
I shall be watching this quest with great interest, and legit rooting for you guys. Just don't wipe out my precious pointy-ears, I need them for Stuff and Things.

[X] Plan Prepare the line
-[X] Guide the Tarot (1 Point): Portents of doom to the Sectors around Cadia and a call to rise to the occasion
-[X] Aid or Hinder Navigators (3 points): Focus on Battlefleet Agripinaa
-[X] Displace Fleet (6 points): A fleet carrying Regiments of the Death Korps of Krieg towards Cadia

[X] Plan Prepare the line

I like it but can we use Displace Fleet for something else, The Death Korps would not do absolutely nothing to help against the main reason Cadia fell.

Oh hoho. SO watching this.

Okay. I do think we need to look more closely to the 13th Black Crusade.

It does not just decided in mere Cadia, but look to its entire campaign.

Solar Mariatus, that prison world revolt that Chaos infiltrate and have to be blown up

But more importantly. DO something about that kid on the Blackstone Fortress. Without her Abby have no exact means of control it.

Her. Right here

Since she's infused with Blackstone and a major asset of Abaddon with the protection of the dark gods that implies, I'm going to rule that you are not aware of her existence right now. Learning about her would also be fairly difficult.

Fair then.

Anyways, tbh our main priority if one to focus on Cadia right now would be Typhus campaigns in the region. THat one is the true opening move, witht the pall of plagues spreading from the Terminus Est seriously weakens the system defenses years before the actual strike.

With thatt out of the way, we will look for a way to deal with shit elsewhere. Like the earlier proposal of sending Helbretch to Cadia is a good idea.
But we can get the Dark ANgel to intervene earlier by subtly hint the Voice of the Emperor being Cypher.

So with that in mind, I propose:

[X] Plan Cadia Stands
-[X] Guide the Tarot (1 Point)
--Grant apocalyptic visions throughout Segmentum Obscurus of blood and fire and a great four-headed beast devouring all, marked most prominently by 13 glowing eyes, lidless, and wreathed in flame, ceaselessly searching for the roots of the cosmos to suckle upon and drain into ruination.
--Specifically the Arcanas Eye of Horus with the Great Hoste, the Shattered World above the Emperor's Throne reversed, and the Galactic Lens reversed . Signifies a major catastrophe, most likely a Black Crusade
-[X] Aid or Hinder Navigators (3 points)
Focus on Battlefleet Agripinaa , and any other reinforcements gathered upon the Belisar and Agripinaa Systems, responding to Typhus' campaign
-[X] Displace Fleet (6 points)
--A fleet carrying Grey Knights, or falling that , Ordo Malleus retinues of Puritan leanings to Hive World Subiaco Diablo ( Purge the Plague of Unbelief from the root )

Vote for the revised version
@Teen Spirit What do you think ? Is it a better use of diverting ships ?

Neat quest premise!

Could our theoretical custodes even reach Eldrad without us intervening to aid his navigators? AFAIK how to reach Craftworld Ulthwe is not exactly public knowledge among Imperial Navigators. In contrast sending a Custodes to Cadia to inform them of the coming attack seems like it'd be nuch simpler.

The inquisition should know where to find them. If one of the Custodes shows up to the High Lords shinning bright gold and says he has to find some pointy ears I imagine the local Imperial representative will start looking for an Ordo Xenos colleague who knows where that is.

Do the inquisition know where to find them? I imagine the Craftworlds would be pretty careful about not being found by Imperial forces, and Ulthwe with its powerful Psykers seemed like they'd be potentially very good at it. Added to that, what are the odds of the Eldar not viewing any Imperial ships as likely to be hostile? Imperial ships aren't known for their tendency to come in peace.

It just seems like it has a bunch of potential fail points.

Ordo Xenos inquisitors make deals with them on the regular. Even if there is some trust building involved Eldrad is the greatest Seer in the galaxy, he would see what we are trying to do and facilitate the meeting if he is interested which I think he is.

Hmm, maybe we should revise plans to have observe in it since we don't have a lot of info.
Gotcha. So, SInce it is confirm we are M41.9something, to determine the time, there should be several target to observe.

Lufgt Huron, Azrael of the Dark Angels , Ciaphas Cain, Sebastian Yarrick.

Depends on the stage of these people' lives specifically, we can determine the exact timing of the galaxy we are in.

Or failing that, observe a Terran High Lords whho got access to standard Terran hours, although not sure it would be accurate
