The Old World: Dark Age of the Empire

I think we ought to pick one of the technology options, now that the invention temple is finished.
Going to need to wait on finishing the current army expansion and loss recovery because those are expensive and so is tech. Hopefully though our costs will come down in the next few turns so that we can start doing some of the tech options ( I would lean towards the compass since it is the cheapest and lets us see what our new bonus is)

You currently have no way of knowing what the Wood Elves intend to do. Most of the world is handling it with a wait and see, the Bretonnians are going with the 'give it a poke' plan. The Grand Marshal will stick to patrolling the Loren Highway until told to come home or until he's pretty sure the Wood Elves are back to their usual 'we don't care about the rest of the world' stance.
For the recall action, would that use a dice beyond the one that is locked in or would it use the locked in dice?

One thing I want to throw out there is that in the future for the intrigue options it seems like a good idea to develop agents and counter agents. Probably not for this turn since it would be a good idea to finish off the expansions that we started. I am sure I missed the discussion prior to this but it seems like they both decrease the DC we need to meet and probably increase the DC for the opposition.

Edit: I am glad the prowess of the elector count has finally been increased since it was pretty atrocious for someone living in such a dangerous world.

While I agree that our elector to have his prowess be high enough that he can defend himself from assassination, I don't think we need to develop it too high since we're not planning on having him 1v1 other enemy lords, especially vampire lords as that would be suicide. I think we should get our prowess up to 20 at max and just focus hard on stewardship as that's the stat we use the most and it'd help decrease the time it'd take to do all the big stewardship projects that we plan on doing in the long run if we increase our stewardship.

[ ] A New Iron Company
You're working to expand the Iron Companies across the board, you could feed these eager minor nobles into founding something new however. (Write-In a description of the new Iron Company, gain 1 regiment of manpower to that Company)
Instead of standard rifles can we fit this iron company with repeater rifles that are usually reserved for outriders, or other specialized guns?

You can have a Company with experimental repeater rifles. However they're going to be much less reliable than the current Nulner Rifles and it'll be a while before your tech progresses to the point you can standardise a more reliable repeater.

We could always commission a painting or better yet, a statue of ourselves with both runefangs and maybe with a pistol or two in our holsters. Might just provide a good propaganda boost like how we named our heir after the last Elector of Solland. That'll have to wait tho, we're running low on cash and materials.

With two Runefangs at hand there's some part of yourself, admittedly a childish part, that has you lifting a sword in either hand.
Practice, practice, practice.

With the Marshal being out and about, as well with all this Mother of Invention thing being so popular lately, going for an experimental Company sounds like an interesting idea.

What kind of repeating rifles do we have available at the moment?
with the temple of inventions I would say to create something that helps us on defense. like, I don't know, a gatling gun?

We will need to use at least 2 dice for upgrading/refining our guns, and even then, it has a high ceiling. I think a compass and fertilizer would be better options, especially when compass would be useful for those who travel across land and sea.

Getting Prowess to the point we take a Runefang into battle is pretty much made mandatory by 1 simple reason: Etherial creatures. Things like ghosts, wraiths, banshees etc. Those are immune (on tabletop)/extremly resistant( tw Warhammer) to non-magical attacks and sinse this takes place before the colleges, our access to magical damage is extremly limited. We can not afford not to have the Runefang with us.

The Nulner Rifle is a single shot rifle with a fair balance of power, accuracy and reliability and is what the Great Company uses. The Ironsides custom build their own equipment but they're still single shot rifles just they're generally a higher quality. Repeater Rifles are experiments kicking around in some of the Gunnery School's workshops for fun with huge variations in quality and style. Some designs can fire two bullets in a row before reloading others six and some straight up blow up in your hand.

Larger scale repeaters like a volley gun still about one or two hundred years off being inventions from the later parts of the Vampire Wars

[X] Plan Continued Expansion
Diplomacy (2 die 400 Marks)
-[X] Engage with a Noble (Baroness Toppenheimer) 1 die
-[X] Family Matters 1 die
Martial (5 dice 8780 Marks 2780 Food 3160 Mats)
-[X] Expand the Hammers of Nuln 1 die
-[X] Expand the Garrison 1 die
-[X] Expand the Iron Foot 1 die
-[X] Expand the Elector's Own 1 die
-[X] Restore the Ranks (The Nuln Ironsides) 1 die
Stewardship (3 dice 5000 Marks, 1400 Mats )
-[X] Expand the Mines (Jengen Quarry) 1 die
-[X] Riverine Docks (Wusterburg) 1 die
-[X] Support the Trantine Canal Project 1 die
Total: 14180 Marks 2780 Food 4560 Mats

Marks 11475- 14180 = -2705
Food 9737- 2780 = 6957
Mats 4669-4560 = 109

5 dice are on continuing actions we have started, 4 on iron company expansions and 1 on the canal (which is also getting progress from our inlaws). Beyond that 1 more die into martial to start replacing losses I went with the one that needs the most progress. My thoughts are for next turn is that as we finish expansions we can swap those dice into doing restore the ranks for whatever needs the most progress to get our numbers back to full quicker. In province another dock expansion because marks are something we are spending more than we make each turn and that part of our treasury is dropping and some turns it can drop very quickly. Beyond that mats is lagging so doing an expansion of the quarry as the easiest one to do. Finally spending some time with the family and getting back to talking with the nobles in our province to see if there are any issues, just going to work the way from top to bottom in the diplo list for any we have not talked to (and I dont think we have talked to Toppenheimer)

[X] Why One Cohort

Why have just one meat shield when you can have two. I'm sure we'll need those men when it is time for Vlad.

Added the diplo contacts that we have done to the info post to help keep track of who we have reached out to and who in and out of our province we might want to do first contacts with.

[X] Plan Continued Expansion

[X] A New Iron Company
-[X] Write-in: Experimental regiment of foot armed with repeater rifles.

Passive bonuses to rolls are few and far between. The others we can use dice to get; this we can't unless we crit again.
