The Long Epoch: Pre-Targaryen Westeros Quest.

For the record, when I say "noble wastrel" imagine the protagonist of the Green Knight movie: a layabout waiting to prove himself, playful but just a little bit prideful

[X] Plan: The Family Jewel
-[X] Equestrian
-[X] Strategist
-[X] Get Knighted
-[X] Write In: Artos
-[X] Write In: He possesses a lean yet muscular build, a testament to his years of rigorous training and a life dedicated to mastering the martial and equestrian arts. His physique is well-defined, with broad shoulders and a toned torso a perfect blend of strength and agility. His hair dark as onyx flowing down to his shoulders in soft, wavy locks. But it's his eyes that are perhaps his most captivating feature. True, they are blue like his mothers, true, they are purple like his fathers. But both colors are intertwined. Tiny flecks of bright, shining purple are rising from a sea of deep blue they are like Opals. they exude an intense, mesmerizing quality that causes both men and women to spend hours staring into his eyes. These along with his sharp facial features high cheekbones, a strong jawline, and full lips create a visage that is both intimidating and alluring.

Edit: changed the trait hunter to strategist cause of how useless it is

I understand the sentiment for gigachad everyone, but do recall that game dealer adds intrigue and this is ASOIAF, though martialing up as a path to power is fair.

Plus it's not really fun to pull up to stuff and you're already mr badass. character development?

Plus plus we need more plans because there's finally a significantly more original ASOIAF quest!

Also, I'd like to remind everyone. A detailed physical description is wonderful, and I love to see the engagement. However, concerning the Family Jewel plan, remember that in previous votes you did not take the Pretty trait. I feel the physical description would be more in line if that trait was the one chosen, personally.

With the traits you all have chosen, our boy would be very tall and in very good physical condition. But he isn't any more better looking or handsome than the average person. This agreeable to everyone?

Was kinda curious about this myself, about how many ASOIAF Quests there are, and what they usually focus on. When I checked, I mostly saw Targaryens. This correct?
I usually pay them no mind because I take issue with OP dragons fouling everything up — that's what caught my eye about your quest (and a fond familiarity, heh). But yes, they tend to be book/show-era and often Targ-centric to my knowledge

I feel this in my soul. Lol. It's a hallmark of the Early Targaryen Reign that their solution to a whole host of complicated and complex issues was just to throw a dragon at them. It was the Targaryen family's get out of jail free card, because of how powerful and destructive they are...

No better way to exemplify that then the Faith Militant Revolt. Had it been any other dynasty or time period, the Iron Throne would've collapsed, but because they had dragonfire infused magic flying nukes, as I affetionately call them, they didn't just crush the revolt violently. They basically kneecapped the Faith's influence in governance and politics, and doesn't get as influential again until the books.

But yeah, when I was thinking of doing a quest, I never had a doubt in my mind it had to be Pre-Aegon's Conquest. And I settled on the what Gyldayn called "That Long Epoch", pulled straight from that quote in the quest description. I settled on it because it was an interesting set up and time period that can be tweaked and played around with, because for as long of a timeframe the long epoch is (anywhere from 3,000 to 1,000 years, depending on which source you take), we don't actually know much of what happened during that long period. We get a lil' bit of the beginning, small specks of info here and there, and then a lot of info concerning the last 100 or so years of it, because thats when the setup for the conquest begins, and Aegon enters the picture.

[x] Plan rounding out the edges
-[x] Game Dealer:
-[x] Wise Man
-[x] Get Knighted

Don't have the spoons for a name/description...

I'd also like everyone to know that I'll let this vote go a day longer than the previous votes. To facilitate discussion and other ideas to float around...

And to allow myself a day to get notes together.

If you guys have any questions! Do not hesitate to ask them.

[x] Plan: The Tournament Knight
- [x] Hunter
- [x] Equestrian
- [x] Win a Tournament Joust
- [x] Name: Mars

Continuing my campaign for noble wastrel:

Besides being IMO more fun than beginning our path to knighthood more or less fully-formed, we instead start out as a bit of a charming yet still competent layabout -- getting called to action, "this is what I've been waiting for" getting ass in gear -- we should take a look at the stats of it.

We need that intrigue point. It's our only weakness Our boy is already geared up to be a capable fighter, a bold commander, and a just ruler from the choices of chargen 2 -- that brings likability and respect, but not guile. We need some spice in that yummy pie, some fox-like cleverness learned at the gambling table, a guy who thinks life's a bit of a game of backgammon or checkers or chess or something, rather than a tactical endeavor. We need some wits.

Sorry about the physical description part. I didn't consider the pretty trait while making the character and I would completely understand if you want to change some if not the whole plan I wouldn't mind at all.
