The Lonely Lioness - Cersei Lannister Quest

Listen...

What is the Blackwater crossing like?
In the sense that if this is a bridge, then we can wait for part of Renly's army to cross, and then launch a barge with Wild Fire into this bridge. Then we will be able to create a numerical superiority and destroy the troops that have crossed over.

Big, deep estuary, a la the North River. And Westerosi don't build giant steel suspension bridges anymore.

And we wouldnt have him cutting off our food and bearing down on the city. Yeah, we fucked that one

So, after reading about Blackwater, I was completely confused.

Blackwater is wider than the Volga. Perhaps "twenty hundred-oar galleys lined up in a row" is an exaggeration, but still the scale is gigantic.

How is Renly going to capture us without a fleet? What's the point?

For all it's worth, I enjoyed reading this. Too many quests on SV are stories of an almost unperturbed rise to power, with very little setbacks on the way. I don't think I've ever seen the protagonist straight out losing, or even finding themselves in a situation they can't immediately resolve with a clever write-in or QM fiat.

Perhaps he is counting on our fleet to turn coat, the way his army already did?

[X] Try to prevent Renlys host from crossing the Blackwater, but cede the southern crownlands to his control.

Live to fight another day! I am tempted by the breakout to Highgarden plan, though

Whatever happens next will surely be interesting, and it's been a fun ride to this point

Azel quests, as ever, never fail to disappoint

Regarless of how it ends it was a joy to participate in this quest with all of you.
Agreed. My one regret was that we didn't experiment on Aukar Brightfyre. I still feel like that could have done something for us.

Speaking of which, I do find it funny that before people didn't want to vote for it because they argued that it probably wouldn't do anything and would just make us look crazy, and now the majority is grabbing onto the Shade of the Evening (which hasn't given us any thing of value so far) and chugging it like there's no tomorrow.

As Cersei enters her blue reveries, one vision she sees is a bunch of shadowed figures arguing about her fate, arms appears from the darkness to hand over the goblet of Shade above her while others attempt to knock it off, in the fight the Shade of Evening is spilled staining Cersei competly blue, blue, blue... All she sees is blue.

Hm, truth be told, the idea of Cersei with lips stained blue from the Shade of the Evening is not necessarily aesthetically displeasing. Blue lipstick might give Cersei a certain exotic flair.

So, as someone who is watching both this Quest Thread and the place where the Targ POV is, I have been given permission from Azel to point out something that was missed now that the vote's over:
Nobody investigated that. And Jaime killed both Aerys, Rossart and the other pyromancer leaders, so nobody alive knows of it.
Meanwhile, look at the Wildfire option:
[] Send for Rossart and have his pyromancers help prepare the defence.
And who Rossart is (or more accurately, was) in the wiki:

Rossart

Lord Rossart was a member of the Alchemists' Guild in King's Landing. He served as the Hand of the King to Aerys II Targaryen for a fortnight.[1]

And you might notice there is something off about that possible action...
