Good on Ghira for defending the newborn nation's sovereignty, but like
he should have done something else. Literally, anything else so that an Atlas invasion should have never been in the cards. A firefight makes his rulership look weak as he can't control the situation. Thus, the sovereignty of his nation is still weaken, if in a different manner than outright invasion.
We're probably not going to respect his proclamation either. When we get Weiss we need to leave.

Ghira is in a very tough situation.
Plus, how was he supposed to know that Willow would be a one woman army going on a rampage trying to rescue her daughter from a terrorist orginization.
So really it's just a criminal fighting other criminals at this point.
Which will damage his nation's prestige and safe places... but not really its sovereignty.
Well, we did hire pirates that can help with that... if they actually stay and fight... and help us.

We kinda still need a ship to leave, would be bad to free Weiss then when we go back to the ship just find an empty spot. And if they decide to abandon us at least we know that we need another escape route rather than rely on one that doesn't existe anymore.

What kind of shitty mercenaries are these?!?!?! we paid them good money for a search and rescue operation and they are leaving even before the bullets start flying?
Even with a +100 roll that we got on the previous update.
So rescuing a VIP of such importance are not good reasons? I mean I can see why he would not want the people to know that he let Atlas Special operatives inside Menagerie... But he should at least put his own Police forces on the case, both because Menagerie could gain much from rescuing Weiss and because I doubt that Ghira is the kind of Man that would let an inocent child suffer for the sins of her father.
