Honestly, I'm basically just parroting what Greg told me. I'm not ashamed to say that I haven't interacted as heavily with mine, partly because they are a guard regiment (its naturally a more impersonal/professional situation) and because I went trough this campaign with just the pre-made fights, since no one was there to make my guys more 'alive' by GMing them.

I bet once things get a bit more polished, since the campaigns update is very new, it's going to be a much higher standard of lifelikeness even without GMs. I also wouldn't be surprised if you could take something like an AdMech unit whose personality matrix is fully there and ask them to edit a video. I may actually see if Abelian can help there, since I'm hopeless with video editing.
Although first I need to scan her and get her to that point. You know me, I want to introduce the girls in a "lore friendly" way, especially because their first few battles and interactions are going to shape the personality matrix (I think? You didn't explain much there). The only exception I've made is Guernica, because I wanted an unit and base steward I could actually talk with, instead of just a hololith.
It's been awkward with that one what with no GMing, but at least by the campaign epilogue where she makes a brief appearance she won't be as much of a hassle to have her play her part and join the warband officially.

Sidenote, what the fuck IS this game's code and p-particle bullshit. I made Guernica a bit of an Angela reference but she then went and actually taught me how to properly serve and drink champagne. How did she know she had to retrieve that info (from where did she get it, for that matter?) and impart it? There isn't exactly a file attached to her scan explaining what she's supposed to be like.
Mate, I've seen someone import a freshly made entirely custom model into the game and then have a fucking six hour debate with it over the events of a ep of a show that dropped not five minutes previously. P-part' are fucking magic on the level of newtypes, it ain't gotta explain shit.

I have said, and will say again that this whole game seems hugely overengineered. Discounting the sheer depth and breadth of the game's layers of reality, there's still way too much customization and flexibility for a simple game, and too few microtransactions for it to be really profitable.

This whole game is actually training for an advanced AI to be able to recreate the world after it falls apart, or its someone's attempt to SAO all of us into a perfect world of gundam awesomeness. Personally, I say we embrace either option.

I can only imagine Neils' anguish when he saw the old CEO go "hmmm nah" at literally any attempt at studying the particles and stubbornly keeping it only as a funny little thing for making plastic toys come to life. Because it was easy money.
For now we have universal translation and some level of telepathy/intent transfer while jacked into GBNO, I'm looking forward to what else can be accomplished outside of it.
Anyways, my only assumption is that p-particles in the plastic basically soak in someone's ideation as they work on the kit or whatever, which then informs the new entity of how it should be. With a side of whatever funky psychosphere GBNO's environment is.
I mean, part of the "overengineering" is that P-Particles are something I could see in a goddamn Persona plot. As mentioned previously in this thread and if you look around the internet, the game's code is mainly a framework and restraint on the damn things. Anything, absolutely anything, made of p-plastic will scan and pop into the game and work as the collective playerbase thinks it should unless there's code superseding it.
Which led to shit like someone bringing in an Exodia model and OHKO an entire Force until a staff member came in and applied a hotfix to stop that bullshit.

Okay. Got Galatea's outfit progression figured out. Two armored getups for Chaos Champion and Chaos Lord respectively, then a non-armored one that can be used at any point after she gets her Mark of Slaanesh for social events and suchlike.
I'll keep them a surprise, I think, since I've already spoiled a fair bit.
Oh, also, the p-projector plate I ordered finally got here. I may fill the lull between campaign episodes with an art video or stream or something. I'll be making a custom outfit for Ariel and maybe give her some extra bits. She's grown on me and it feels a bit wrong to let her just be a Habetrot clone in looks.

Which gave enough 'life' that it could act based on what it knew of the character.

It isn't like I use my paychecks for much, anyways, since the company owns the delivery van and covers its gas costs. GBNO actually made my expenses even smaller because I can get whatever cuisine I damn well please for pretty much free.
