The House of Twilight [Destiny Nation Builder Quest]

@Tabi, why aren't Striders on the front page? We looted a lot of them from that Wolf depot. Is it because we haven't researched how to build them?

I ask, because getting an idea of their weapons systems might head off this whole pseudo-tank-thing discussion. Or at least give us some idea of how they can be used.

@APL 123AZ, why not reverse engineer/research how to build more of those?

The stats page has not been updated in ages, DA. Renars keeps updated tally I believe, but they have not had time to do one after newest round methinks.

Yes, but it's not something Renars can do, only Tabi can. It's literally a vehicle type that we have, but don't know how to use, because it doesn't have any stats.

There is this Destiny concept art thing, @APL 123AZ. It's smaller than a spidertank, fielding a belt-fed machine gun as the main armament and a smaller rotary turret as a secondary weapon. This is probably what you were thinking of.

Oh, another thing, you may be able to start expanding to Mars. Either through shuttling people on the stealth ketch, or managing to reverse engineer Vex gate tech enough to transmat units from planet to planet, circumventing the Wolves, Reef, and Cabal entirely.

Wouldn't the latter require a higher tech level?

Then again Skolas did it so it cant be that hard...

I am considering editing my base scouting location to Lost Oasis. I doubt Cabal are there (since they'd have reinforced the hell out of the place), and some Vex interference would be worth it to let us study those portals. Of course Captains would have to be more trigger happy with field executions if any trace of Vex corruption is discovered...

Oh, and @Tabi do we actually need to use an action to get those spaceborne warehouses looted? Because if we do, we have some big engines we could maybe use to tow them to us? Free buildings are never bad thing :D

Ascetics 4/6/6, 1000 Spinmetal/250 Relic Iron + 500 Helium Filaments + 10,000 Glimmer + 6 Turns (Antimatter Missiles, Arc Repeaters)(Cloaking Field: This unit is always under Stealth, minimum of 80 to be detected)(+1d10 to Attack, Cooldown: 3 Combat Turns)(2 Mods)
Special Ability: [Transmat Reinforcements: May summon up to 10 ships once per battle.]

Ooh, me likey.

I'm going to assume we cant use the transmat to sneak more troops onto Mars though, right?

Edit:

On the other hand, if its constantly under stealth maybe we could reverse engineer its stealth system. Keeps us from sacrificing our actual stealth ship.

To be honest, I forgot we had that. With it sneaking to Mars would be lot more plausible. That planet would have lot to offer to us.

The problem is that its a skiff analogue if I understand correctly. It cant even carry people from the looks of it.

By the way, seeing as we're on Mars, after we're done there I suggest we run the Stealth Ship and crew over to Earth. We can assign the Guardian and Ghost to scavenge up a transmitter and let them talk to the City.

It'd cut out the wait and need for the Cassini to play middleman.

More of a Transport equivalent really. It also has some serious firepower for it's size, and I don't see any sign it could not carry people too. Just...how much Transport could usually. It is just an assumption of course.

I would not really trust the ghost and guardian to not just ditch us for the city yet, so we may want to put rain check on that. I'd imagine that a hunter with cloak might be a huge help for our Mars exploration for one.

I have also edited my plan somewhat. I was reminded that the Wolves had been running our ship crews ragged with raids lately, so put in action specifically to hit them back to give us more breathing room.

The ship is less of a transport and more of a gigantic transmat beacon with guns attached. It is, however, an extremely valuable ship that is exclusive to the Judicators.

In other words, only Judicators can fly it. But no worries, I have a 1d10 roll every turn to determine who gets to be selected to become a Judicator.

I'd rather open the viscous fluid vault first, and the vex monolith vault second. Mostly cause I can't imagine the fluid being any more complicated to work with than an actual machine, so we'd be able to put it to use faster.

Well that's easy to fix. All we need to do is research a cargo bay mod, then weld them onto the Ascetics as we build them.

This is assuming we cant just reverse engineer the stealth systems of course.

Edit:

[X] Begin counter-strikes against the increased Wolf raiding. Ambushes, strafing runs on supply depots, anything to make their attempts to harass us as miserable as possible. (1 Action)

Send the new destroyers to do this. I built them to be a response to the Wolves after all.
