The House of Twilight [Destiny Nation Builder Quest]

Even if we stay out here, we're still going to need to establish a presence in the inner system - we need to recruit more Eliksni, and that means that we need to show off our strength and have a FOB to which we can attract potential recruits.

The belt is going to be a pain in the ass to work around, unless we can come to terms with the Awoken.

Well, eventually the Awoken are going to shatter the Wolves, we are in a decent position to take in their splinters at that point.

I was not aware we had that much time before canon hits us.

Huh, that means we could actually get a huge number of humans in our house. 18.000 is a genetically viable population, and on top of that they have golden age education...
Of course, we will have to be careful to maintain the balance of power heavily our way, or they will decide they don't need us lording over them.

We just have to get more Ether. Let's see them attempt to usurp us when we're all twelve feet tall and can fit their skulls in our palm. :V

But seriously - that's a lot of humans. I'm honestly hoping that at least a decent portion want to go to the City, just so we don't have to deal with a demographic. Plus it'd make for an elegant segue into diplomatic relations...

Well on the plus side we have Servitors and I think we are all physically superior, not to mention they are out here all alone. As long as we dont treat them like dicks, we only have to be wary of the ambitious.

EDIT: Some of them might want to be permitted to journey to the last city to join with them, some might wish to stay, I dont know about the others. Most of them are likely to be civilians with no combat experience, but we could get unlucky.

Really hoping we can reproduce the stealth drive we got eventually. Being known as the near mythical Fallen House that actually tolerates humanity and pulls off crazy stealth antics would be awesome. Even better being the stealthy faction fits with our name.

Man, I'm debating whether or not we should switch out the research labs for doubling up on the Ghost action. Reviving it would be pretty major, but I don't want to risk mono-focusing.

What do you guys think?

Looking it over when we have two free actions would probably be a good investment.

Tabi mentioned that the City is still in the process of being founded, so we're hugging pretty close to the Collapse. But the Awoken and the Nine are already a thing with a fleet of their own, so I'm guessing we're at maybe a decade or two after the Traveler's rebuke.

Well, we will probably want to grant them quite some power anyways assuming they join us so we don't have to deal with too much internal strife.

A medieval style social contract where the Eliksni Fight and Pray while the Humans Build and Research and both sides are fine with that would be great and play to both species strengths, but i doubt it would work easily. The humans would probably feel oppressed.

A full integration of the humans into our feudal structure is liable to fail too. Golden Age humans probably don't want anything to do with our neofeudalism, and they don't profit from ether. Likewise i don't think many vandals would take orders from someone with two arms who's the size of a dreg, even if they were called a baron.

Maybe we should give them some autonomy. Treat them more like the Free Cities of the Holy Roman Empire instead of subjects. They are allowed to make their own settlements and elect their own majors, in return for an oath of allegiance to the House of Twilight. They are granted our protection as lieges in return for a reasonable tithe. A major (or all majors voting together?) has the status of a baron at the Archons (Kells? We might get a Kell eventually) court. We ensure protection and allow them self-rule in return for their services as centres of culture and research.

I think we are getting ahead of ourselves. First we need to wake them up and see what their status is, then we can figure out what form our relationship will take.

There's about six hundred or so years at this point in time. The Fallen arrived about a century after the Collapse, declared everything in the system as their own and settled where they please.

The Hive are around. Somewhere. Probably on the Moon, but the digging isn't obvious yet.

The Cabal arrived shortly afterwards and proceeded to begin building firebases all over Mars.

What can happen in six hundred years, anyway?

Man, I was way off.

Putting the notice up; won't be sure if I'll have wifi on the plane, so I'm going to ask for votes to be made within the hour.

Just to double-check, the still armed station is in orbit of Neptune and the Cassini fleet at Saturn?

If both of these are the case, i'd say we should go for:

[x] Plan Ghost

Though i hope we don't wake all of the humans at the same time. We can't feed that many for any amount of time.

[X] Wake them up; they deserve to know your generosity. [1 Action]
- [X] Offer them the chance to join you.

[X] Salvage the IFF codes from the Cassini [2 Actions]

[X] Study the curiosty from the edge of the system [1 Action]

[X] Study the colonies research labs [1 Action]

[X]Neptune
