Rules and Mechanics
The QM's basic rules are as followed

1) No flame. Jokes are accepted, but outright slander and/or libel will be faced with gravest consequences
2) If I make a mistake, please notify me, and I'll try to amend (and give out compensation) immediately
3) Omakes and fan-arts are always appreciated and can be considered canon if they're good/funny enough, you'll get a bonus to a roll of your choice and Canon omakes might end up influencing the story.
4) I'm using the rolz for dice (will add in the link later) - so... prepare to sacrifice for the RNG God.
5) This quest is updated once per week, not twice or every few days like my main quest originally, so prepared to see it having updated every Sunday or so.

***********

The "stats" can be understood as followed:

Martial: Influences military size and morale, chances of success in operations led by you.
Stewardship: Influences upkeep costs, building costs, trade costs, project costs as well as paperwork's speed
Diplomacy: Influences how likeable you are.
Intrigue: Espionage actions, the higher it is, the more likely you can obtain intelligence on the enemy while they cannot
Learning: Research and analyse.
Piety: Your ability to resist the supernatural powers and wield it. Also affect relationship with religion organizations.

*************

For roll, it is decide as followed:
- Roll used: 1d100
- Bonus: A third of combined related stat and omakes

Example:
Martial choice "Goblin subjugation" quest <specific mission> has 75% chance to success
MC' s Martial stat is 14, the Advisors' Martial stat are 12 and 11 <All at Conscript level>
+5 roll for tactics and +5 for assault
Total bonus: 22
Roll: 4
Result = 26 > Needed = 25 --> Mission (barely) successes

*************

Character classification

Greenhorn --> Rookie --> Conscript --> Regular --> Elite --> Legendary

Bonus/Penalty
Greenhorn: -10 for all roll
Rookie: -5 for all roll
Conscript: no change
Rookie: +1 for all roll
Elite: +5 for all roll
Legendary: +10 for all roll

If there is more than two types of characters present, the bonus will be the average. For example
2x Greenhorn = -20
3x Elite = 15
Bonus = (-20+15)/5 = -1

Each class member receives a +1 for all stat due to magik

Week 1 Situation
You are Aleksandra Nguyen, daughter of Colonel Nguyen Quang Anh and Ma'am Sarashiki Kanzashi. Growing up in s slightly dysfunctional family, you think you have seen enough, ranging from explosive blocks being laid next to breakfast, a half-sister of yours working as a (self-claimed) maid to a boy that considered as her cousin to watching your dad wearing a combat fatigue, eating jelly candies while watching My Little Pony.

But those images are nothing compared to this. You and your classmates are transferred to another world by magic.

Yes. Magic. It seems like magic is real here, which is some real mindblowing issues. Raised by some atheists and in a scientific environment, you do not believe in magic, but it seems like there is no available explanation, so you have no choice but to stick with it for a while longer.

And the ones summoned you here... For some reasons, you think they are priests working for a sibling-church of the Christian church back on Earth. Yeah, they look like, and some of them act like, religious nuts, which is one of the last few things you want to interact with. The Russian-quarter of your blood has quite a terrible experience with zealous religion followers in mid-21st century.

A few talks, or rather declarations, from the "Chief Priest" tell you that your class is the heroes being summoned here to fight back the rising tide of Demon. The funny part is that the one say so is a... teenager. A female teenager, barely past 16, with blond hair and a very developed figure. A few boys in the class would probably salivate at her sight if they are not so shocked. Though every one is equally puzzled when she collapses - and as it turns out, she has exhausted her "mana" storage, leading to her knock-down.

And yep, everyone can understand what they are saying. As luck has it, they are also using English, albeit the "formal and tradition" English, but it is still understandable by your class. While puzzling, none of your class wants to challenge your luck.

The one telling those to you is an old priest, probably at high ranking too. At least he is an understanding guy, he gives your class a lodging to rest and to calm down before extra information is taught and given. Yeah, you need that. You have to be calm and mature, your class is depending on you as their leader.

You shall not fail them.

Diplomacy: You are in another world, and the last thing you want is to disrespect someone else for not talking to them. Let's make sure you make friends here, not foe

[] The priests: They are the ones summoning you here, after all. And they deserve eating a fist in the face. Initiate Relationship with ???, Understanding on the world. Success chance: 100%. Cost free.

You are Aleksandra Nguyen, Class Leader of Class 2-1, Murphy Junior Military School. Your class has been transported to a new world because of magic and shit. The details are still a bit sketchy, but it seems like some kind of great calamity is coming. And you are expect to win them victories with your friends. But, before that, first thing first.

Martial
[x] Military re-organisation: In the... peculiar situation like this, you are the de-facto commander of this cadet group, and you have to make them into a coherent bunch first. Eliminate or Reduce the Entangled status, ???. Success chance: 50/90%, ???. Cost free

Roll: 1d100 = 77
Bonus:
+10 (Leader + Advisers)
+1 (Keen)
-5 (Shaken)
-3 (Entangled)
Result: 80

Entangled removed
Five squads are formed:
Three Combat-rated squads (6 members each)
One Support squad (7 members)
One Command Staff (8 members)

A lot of shouting and ordering, combined with even more paperwork help you to re-organise your class. Thanks to the military training, it does not take much time for them to stabilise again, on the formation side, at least. Throw in your cousins, Maria and Lin, the three girls are able to quell down and re-divide the class into different squads - after all, you are future soldiers. It does not mean that all class members will fight though, some are not in a good shape to fight, some refuse to fight due to ethical reasons. You put them in a Support Squad, mostly in charge of the logistic and bureaucrat issues. They can also be tasked to assist as some heavy lifting for research activities if want.

On the other hand, most of the class is put into three squads, each with six men. They are un-armed, un-equipped at the moment, but they accept the idea to fight, even if just to protect the class from any unseen harm. The last unit is the Command Staff squad, led by you personally. Granted, it is nepotism with your family filling in the slots, but your class is cool with that thanks to the sheer competency and excellency of the group.

Discipline is the core of all army. Yours is not an exception. The best and most cost-efficient (and the most basic) way to do it is formation drill. Make them march, turn right, turn left and salute. Rinse and repeat. Your (slightly insane) father vouches for its effectiveness to put the new recruits into gears. Granted, your class is not precisely greenhorns, but the point remains.

With the yelling and smiling comes from three girls, your class quickly fall in line every morning and practice marching. It works out quite well. The "sound" is almost as one by the end of the week. Granted. It is not as threatening compared to real soldiers or the parade held by Federation of Eastern Europe Republics, but it is still awe-inspiring enough. Some by-passers are really interested in your training, but none arrives to strike a conversation.

According to Nika, the neko-chan (his words) are referred as "beastkins" on this world. The boys seem very interested on this account, much to the displeasure of the female population in the class. The girl you see at the "summoned site" seems to be a "big boss" here, and she seems very "arrogant-like" to Nika at first (which is commented as "tsun" by Rohit), she even tries to rough your Diplomacy representative with some of her men but fail miserably, kind of. Nika is holding his ground against two of them with his bare hand, even if barely, when Rohit and John arrive to assist him.

The two guards are beaten to the ground after that, earning certain respect from the "princess".

With a lot of statistic and inventory checking, you are able to recount special and heavy assets of the class, the items are of "strategic value" to the survival of your class. While there is no weapon, you are sure that the knowledge of how to make them are known to many of your classmates. Plus, the all have their own smartphones and computers, the class even have extra laptops for class projects... Well, it seems like "survive" can be counted as a project here. In addition, a (major) set of experiment tool is accounted for, in combination with the laptops, the research speed can be improved greatly.

Of course, the laptops use up energy, but with a pair of anti-matter battery (the same type found in IS suit, but at a smaller scale), you have no reason to be afraid of losing the electronics system. Good god...

John is a real bless. Granted, he is your half-brother, born by your dad and his ex-classmate slash personal maid slash your mother's handmaiden... yeah, it sounds really strange. But the key point remains. He is a real bless.

He is able to input a flush toilet system and hot water into the lodge house. While the boys are not... extremely concerned on where to pee and poop, the girls (including you) do. You are sure that the blond brother of yours have a few girls pecking on his cheek as thanks. While there is no toilet paper (because the tech-level here is too low), he has somehow been able to procure some kinds of leaves which are quite... soft. They are not as good as toilet paper, but still a decent replacement. The hot water is still fairly limited for usage, but if the girls use it carefully, there would be enough water for them.

And screw those boys, they are men. They can take some cold water, or take the bath in the stream.

It is interesting. The alphabet here seems to be "Latin-derived", they do not call it like that here of course, there is another name for that. But the important part is that the font is fairly recognisable. Once you are used to the letters, the grammar and the vocabulary are not that hard - especially when all of your class is speaking the modern version of the language here.

You learn a few things. One, this is not Earth (obviously). Two, Medieval Earth is jack shit (for modern time). Three, ROB is an arsehole.

Many features are the same on Earth, up to a degree at least. The day here is still roughly 24 hours long (give or take a few seconds because you and Rohit are busy yawning), decreasing the time-lag effect. The gravitational acceleration g is about 9.8m/s2, same on Earth, the temperature is comparable to the temperate zone on Earth (not Australia, thanks Lord for that)...

But your research seems to draw some... negative attention from the priest, making you explain that this is a "formality" from your home land, a quest for knowledge. Most of that is bullshit and spur of moment, but they don't need to know that. One thing for sure though, they dislike scientific methods and facts. Hmm... So you should not say that the Secret of Life and Matter has been discovered and manipulated then.

Your parents make you learn the national anthems at a young age. The Military school makes you learn military and marching song.

It is only until now you know why.
The songs... They re-ignite the spirit of your class again. They recover the lost in the morale of your class, giving them some hope to press on

For a few nights, you order a bonfire (with wood, meat and vegetable being requisitioned from the local) and sing along. No one remembers precisely how it begins, but the unofficial song of the Academy springs up. The song about Audie Murphy, your school's namesake. A badass, a verified badass with Medal Chest

The imbecile voice of the tone-deaf boys in your class still transfer the spirit of the song to everyone around. Then, when the song dies out, it is replaced by the national anthems of the now-defunct states as well as the new-anthem of each member-state of the Terran Federation. The fire seems to burn brighter at the second rounds of song. On the next day, the old songs of the Soviet-era are brought up and sung, the Hymm of the Republic and other modern war songs for the day after that.

They impresses the local greatly. But you do not care about that, you are crying while watching the photo of the flag from your homeland. It is then that you understand your father's words about the flag: Something worth fighting and dying for.

Politics of Terra Nova
Terra Nova, the name designated by your class to the new planet, shares certain similar feature with Earth. Gravitational acceleration, air composition and even some soil samples. However, there is one thing that is not the same: population. Fantasy races such as dwarf, elf, fairy, beastkin... are a part of the reality here. And, as the law of Chaos dictates, politics. They seem to hate each other, but they are putting up a friendly front. Of course, there is no guarantee that they will no diss each other in the meanwhile.

Ah, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

With the talking with the beastkins done, your class is able to pry out a good chunk of information and summarise them. It is not complete, but it is better than none. It seems that the "concerned" area is just as big as Europe. But for the Medieval-era tech, Europe is big as fuck already...

***********

Faction 1: The Great Tribes of Beastkins

The first (and only, so far) faction that your class initiate the relationship with. As their name suggests, they are half-men and half-animal. But due to a cruel joke from ROB (Rather Omnipotent Being), they are similar to the catgirls, doggirls, foxgirls, birdgirls... from anime and manga. Granted, some has more fur or feather than others, some has more animals' features (skull's shape and tails, for example) than others, but using the images from the old-Japan's industry of entertainment would be a simple way to describe how they look like.

They are friendly, so far. But only after your representatives hold their own ground against the honor guards without dealing any lethal damage or breaking a sweat. Further talking confirms their warrior culture, quite alike the Amazon women (with men and no men-killing stuff) or the Darwin theory (but not on the level of Britiannia in the Code Geass franchise).

The relationship from them increases greatly after talking, on the sheer fact that your class (the boys, at least) watch them with curiosity and fascination, not with lust or disdain. Their men are considered as "un-desirables" or "lower-class" by many of the local population, or rather the human leaders. On the bright side, those men haven't pull any Auschwitz here, but the fact that the majority of slaves are beastkins is undeniable. They are unable to liberate or help themselves due to the non-existence of beastkin mage or magician as well as the fractured system (no centralised leader), but not all of them are slaves thanks to their incredible physical prowess. Even an old teenager (18~19 equivalent in human scale) can hold their ground against a human in his or her prime (late 20s). With the martial skills being known, some men of them are showing interest in training with your class.

On another note, their current leaders (earned through trial of combat) is a neko-girl, or a cat girl. She is rather young and quite developed. Not like your Aunt Houki or Chifuyu, but still a decent level.

Notes on Great Tribes of Beastkins
+ Great Martial (physical) prowess
+ Heightened senses
+ Durable
+ Friendly
+ Cute females (No, boys, it is not a pro)
- No centralised leadership
- Low discipline (for military setting)
- No tech-understanding
- No magic

Relationship: Friendly

Person of Interest:
"Princess"

Faction 2: Church of Enlightenment

The "mastermind", so to speak, of your class's abduction. Consists of all religious devotes as well as priests and nuns. The closest analogy your class has is the Medieval-era Catholic Church (or Vatican). It comes with all the benefits and problems entailed. With your "summoning", they are being responsible for your food and drink. Basically, they are feeding and protecting you at the moment, it would explain why there are so many priests and nuns lingering around your lodging house, or why most of the guards are wearing religious symbols. They do not belong to a country, they belong to a religion making a country.

The history of Earth has laid in plain sight of what can go wrong with that: everything. The only thing coming close to that is "military making a country" (read: Germany and its greatest state, Prussia)... OK, the second may be more terrible with more than 80 million dead being "made officially", but they all sucks.

However, some of your classmates comment that it will be only a matter of time before those priests ask your class to don the religious clothes and join some propaganda. They may even ask you to swear loyalty to their God, which is a problem, because all of you has sworn loyalty to Terran Federation and her respective member-states. Religion is not higher than Motherland. The only saving grace on this issue is that there is no confirmation yet. You are still able to squeeze through this.

Notes on the Church
+ Mass politic influence
+ Great wealth
+ Knowledge on magic (?)
+ Ability to gather high-morale units
- Insurgency (?)
- Discrimination
- Zealous
- Conservative

Relationship: Neutral

Person of interest: N/a

Faction 3: The Empire of Vers

If the Church is a religion having a nation, then the Empire is a military (army-based) having a nation. If the ceremony units you are watching here is a reliable proof, their army is a disciplined, well-trained and powerful one. The only "combat" unit you notice is at (heavy) platoon-size, roughly 60 people, probably a bodyguard detachment for the leaders. Not like those leaders gonna need it much. The ones sane enough are intimidated by the red armour the General (?) or King (?) is wearing, and the ones insane enough can be cut down by his two-hand sword.

The bodyguard formation seem to be a combined-arm unit with a mixture of physical weapons (lances, crossbows and swords) as well as magic (there are about five mages there - mages with swords). Another interesting fact is that they also possess some... muskets - referred as "boomsticks". Of course, they are just muskets, they are not really dangerous unless at close-range or in sufficient numbers. The problem is that they have both.

The good news is that their representatives seem impressed with your formation drill. As their leaders say, it is comparable to a unit after a few months of heavy training. A fisherman see a fisherman from the other end, it seems.

Notes on the Empire
+ Military training <with all of the related details>
+ Simple military technology
+ Grudging respect
+ Good food
- Expansionist
- Warmonger attitude
- Strained relationship with everyone else
- Dedicated zone for a Order of Knight [Church's influence]

Relationship: Friendly

Person of interest
"Platoon commander" - Leader of the 1st Lance Royal Guard
"The Prince" - Heir of the Throne, highest ranking official of the Empire in the vicinity

Faction 4: The Kingdom of Rus

They are the walking embodiment of the "Mother Russian makes you strong" trope. Their conditions of their lands are so harsh, so harsh that the part of just thinking of settling there can make you tougher. Not much else is known about them, they just keep the distance from you and many others, but from the attitude of the few concerned beastkins, those "Rus-man" are incredible fighters and survivors.

In a way, they are the best warriors on Terra Nova. The number of monster attacks in their land is the highest among all human (and their allies) record.

However, a beastkin (an old white wolf-man) mentions that the songs your class has been singing are attracting a great deal of attention from them. It is unknown if it is in a good or a bad way

Relationship: Friendly

Notes on the Kingdom
+ Durable fighter
+ Great martial prowess
+ Experienced in anti-monster task
- Anti-social attitude (?)
- Alcoholic (?)
- Strained relationship with the Empire (?)

Faction 5: The Kingdom of Freden

They are... interesting to say the least. Their army is joked as only good in "looking" by the beastkins, and the ladies in that countries are commented as "exotic" by a few bypassers (if your understanding on the language is correct). But watching their leader here gives you another feeling - they don't need a great standing army, they have already skipped that and jumped to the next level: information warfare.

Their leader, a young looking girl cladded in black, gives you a vibe of some spymistress (someone being a head of a spy group). She looks frail and weak, but her guards are not. All of them are cladded in black too, intimidating others, not to mention that Maria has noticed some budges under their clothes, or she said that the "Spider Lady" is hiding some knives under her dress.

At the moment, she seems... polite toward your class, smiling and nodding whenever two sides pass by each other. But none of your classmate is fooled by this facade. They all know that she is a spy, and per tradition, regular units have bad blood with spies.

Relationship: Friendly

Notes on the Kingdom of Freden
+ Spy network (?)
+ High level of culture
+ Delicate tools (?)
- Weak army
- Bad blood brewing

Person of interest
"Spider Lady"

Faction 5: Kingdom of Albion

If the Frenden is the French counter-part, then Albion is the English counter-part. The Red Coats they are wearing is a big dead give-away. They seems to be... stuck-up though, a bit arrogant and too posh, but it is due to good reasons. The beastkins have already explained to you that their Navy here is without opponent. Their ship building is capable of building ship at nearly "40-meter" long (after converting to metric system) with over 5 guns and 10 ballista. Your class has to hold in the laugh at that point, 40-meter is barely recognised as a patrol boat, not to mention that you have already known how to build space ship at inter-star level.

But then, this is probably somewhere in the Medieval era, gun powder has been (re)invented, but not widespread enough. Only two major powers are using them in certain areas: The Empire of Vers with "boomsticks" and The Kingdom of Albion with their ship-born cannons. The first has been able to build a strong army, the second is owning a major Navy fleet at the moment.

That is probably the reason why the Kingdom has a (slightly) different way to worship the God here without any recursion from the Church. They are able to stand and laugh in the priests' faces without fear of being revenged or dis-communicate.

Relationship: Friendly

Notes on the Kingdom of Albion
+ Major Navy (Heavy ships) and good Marine
+ Cannons
+ Independent (relatively) from the Church (?)
- Sub-par Army
- Arrogant looking

Person of interest: N/a

Faction 6: Noz Settlements

A fracture groups of honourable pirates, traders and craftsmen. How those words mix together is another question. While the men from Rus are a bit... bash (in the Neko-Princess's words), these men are worse. They do not hold back in expressing their emotions, be it rage or happiness. In addition, they are rather... axe-happy, meaning they always try to compete with others in a "dick-measuring contest", quote and unquote from Shihoku.

Of course, no one knows why and how both the contenders are able to walk away with just a few scratches and bruises after a major clash.

Concerning your class, they have been making no attempt to contact so far, apart from... showing no outward no visible emotion whenever two sides pass-by. May be it is a good thing?

Notes on the Settlements
+ Very good Marine raids
+ Good Navy (Light Ships)
+ Good crafted items
+ Good sense of market (partially thanks to the axes)
- No centralised command
- Rowdy and undisciplined
- Strain with some factions

Relationship: Neutral

Person of interest: N/a

Faction 7: Great Forest <Elf>

There are blue-blood, there are the ones born with silver spoons in their mouth, there are the ones born with arrogant noble attitude. Then there are the elves. That is the summary done by Nika within 20 seconds of meeting themThat is the gist of the situation coming from the beastkins' mouth (after censoring the swearing and cursing part). It seems the sentiment is shared among a few other human's factions too.

The elves are arrogant bunch of long-ears, for a good (?) reason, at least. They are the best natural-born mage on the known section of civilisation. A ten-year-old elf kid can be as powerful as a human mage spending ten years in training. Of course, the human will win thanks to his/her cunning and tactical adaptation, but it speaks volume on the elf magical power. In addition, they are some incredible archers: the range of 200m are their effective range. To put it in comparison, the old English longbow is effective up to 180m, even the maximum distance shot by a traditional bow is even less than 350m. But for the elves, some of them can nail a target at 350m quite easily.

Granted, the modern military has sniper rifles can nail a target at nearly 2km, five times greater than that distance, even a normal rifleman can hit a target at 300m easily. But this is Medieval era, that level of skill is worthy of respect.

Oh, and they can live very long too. A few centuries, may be. And male or female, elves are... "beautiful", for the lack of better word.

Notes on the Elf
+ Knowledge on magic
+ Knowledge on potion and alchemy
+ Agile
- Arrogant
- Isolationist
- Fragile

Relationship: Neural

Person of interest:
"The Duke"

The only sane man, or rather, woman, in the elf group. According to her, she is an anomaly in statistic. Her view on life is... reverse with her people. She believes in co-operation with others while her people prefer the isolationist attitude. She wants to spread the knowledge on Spirit Magic while her people wants to horde it. She should be hated and lynched by her own people... If she is not the second-in-command of this group or having good connections
"The Ranger"

A silent elf who enjoy hunting. He has been seen carrying many "trophies" back from the jungle. However, he is never seen talking for unknown reasons

Faction 8: Great Mountain <Dwarf>

To finish the picture of a fantasy world, dwarf (or plural form, dwarves) shows up. As their stereotypes dictates, they are a bunch of drunken blacksmith. It means they are good at producing weapons and they are alcoholic. It sounds better than it should, really. They are the sheer reason why the Empire of Vers and Kingdom of Rus haven't ducked it out with each other, they make boomsticks for the first and hunt with the others, enough to say that both human factions have to held them in high regards.

While there is not many dwarf mage, they are extremely talented in blacksmiths... Though from the Science of War class, they are too good - they spend too much time on their own products, no production line, no lean production, no blue-prints. Hell, they do not even produce civilian-grade items. It sounds like a terrible combination, for Earth's mentality, at least. May be if Nika's tongue is good enough, he can have a mass production line installed for... guns.

Yep, you are an Earthlings, you like guns. Lots of them

Notes on the Dwarf
+ Blacksmiths
+ Mining
+ Innovation (?)
+ Friendly
- Alcoholic
- No concept on intrigue and information security

Relationship: Friendly

"The Nut eater"
"The Meat griller"
"The Blade forker"

**********************

As usual, there are certain "alliances" being formed. No one admits it outright, but every one with a good sense on politics can recognise that. And as it turns out, the Kingdoms and Empires here are the "major players", there are various other smaller kingdoms with less power and authority, or vassal of one, or they give no fuck about foreign politics (and yes, the Swiss are here, too). The list followed is incomplete, and probably incorrect, but they will suffice, for the time being

Group 1: Empire of Vers
Group 2: The Kingdom of Frenden + Kingdom of Albion
Group 3: The Kingdom of Rus
Group 4: The Noz Settlements
Group 5: The Great Tribes of Beastkins + The Great Mountains
Group 6: The Great Forests
Group 8: The Church

Among those, The Church wields a great politics power among the populace of other's countries. However, the authority of the "Big Priest" is decreasing as of late. Multiple low-level officials in other countries have denied certain requests from low-level clercs, but nothing too major at this point. The Empire of Vers and the Kingdom of Rus have the highest resistance against the Church. The first with a major standing army and the other with terrible climates (and the vanguard against multiple demon incursion).

But, it is worthwhile to notice that the Empire has an autonomous zone belonging to Toton Order of Knight, receiving order from the Church only. They are the only state with such a situation.

The Church has no authority on the non-humans, meaning the Great Tribes of Beastkins, the Great Mountains and the Great Forests are independent from the Church's decision. However, the Beastkins are the most unfortunate, for some reasons, the Church seems to turn a blind eye on the slavery against their kins while saving the elves and the dwarf. On another note, the Dwarf really enjoys the Beastkins' company. And the Elf... they give no fuck to any one with low aptitude for magic and/or intelligence. It means that they do not recognise the threat of any other factions, apart from the Church.

The Noz... well, they are pirates. Kind of. Kind of an annoyance to the Empire and the Rus. The two latter factions have a bit of hatred against the Noz, but little to no official war has been carried out.

The Kingdom of Albion and the Kingdom of Freden are closed friends, according to the news. They have been supporting each other in a few recent conflicts against some rebellions and attacks from the Empire of Vers. Some of those attacks take place within this generation. Saying they have bad blood is... quite an understatement. Moreover, these two Kingdoms are standing together to fight back the Church's influence with various success.

Week 2 Situation
The first week progresses... decently, at least for a bunch of inexperienced teenagers being pulled to a new world with magic. All chinks and kinks in the class's organisation is cleared and routed out, the morale of the class is recovered and reinforced. Intel about the local population is gathered, while it does not paint a... welcomed picture, you know that it can be far worse.

But then, since when life is easy?
