Introduction
Since time immemorial, the history of the land known as Jihopan has always been one of conflict. Written records and oral history paint a tale of war between humans, animals, and demons, the webs of conflict engulfing all three of them into civil wars and wars with each other. Humans had technology on their side, able to craft weapons to injure others, armor to protect themselves, and other improvements to their homes. Animals were able to use natural energy and the advantages of their own bodies. Humans and animals would sometimes unite and sign pacts, allowing the humans to summon the animals in times of need. Both were unanimously opposed against the vile demons, which combined the aspects of the two.
It is difficult to separate legend from reality in the history of these times. One prominent figure that made a radical change in the world was Hagoromo Otsutsuki, a man known as the Sage of the Six Paths. He possessed unique eyes known as the Rinnegan, which gave him unique powers akin to those of animals and demons. He learned how to harness the energy within the body and, emulating the techniques of the animals and demons, developed ninjutsu. A man that desired an end to the conflict, the Sage taught people how to use ninjutsu, as well as spreading a message of peace. To achieve piece, one thing was apparent: the demons had to be fought back, for they were a force incapable of anything but warring against others. The Sage and his followers traveled the land, fighting the demons and beating them back into the dark crevices of the earth from which they emerged. The Sage eventually faced the Lord of All Demons, the Jubi, and defeated it. He used the powers of his Rinnegan to imprison the Jubi in a celestial rock prison on the moon. Now that the Jubi and the demons were gone, peace had finally reached the world.
The Sage had two sons, one who inherited the power of his eyes and one who inherited his spirit and will. The two competed to be his successor, and both had differing views of peace. The older son, Okuninushi, wanted to use power to dominate and unite the people of the land into one nation. The younger son, Ninigi, opposed this view, saying that love and freedom is the way to peace. On the Sage's deathbed, the younger son was chosen as his successor. His views are why the people of the world are not united as one and why there are separate countries.
The sons feuded for quite some time, but they eventually made bitter peace with each other. It is said that the older son sired the clans that possessed doujutsu-- the Hyuga (of the Leaf), Eizan (of the Stone), and Kodokuna (of the Hot Springs). The older son's descendants immediately settled down in one area (said to be in the northern area of the present day Fire Empire), though conflict eventually drove some of them apart. The Uchiha clan would come about when one Adra Hyuga's eyes changed one day into a fierce red, possessing strange abilities different from the Hyuga's Byakugan. Adra was exiled from the Hyuga clan due to fear of gaining power from demons. Similar clans arose from undocumented changes in the other two doujutsu, these clans being the Egami (of the Frost) and Sanzo (of the Moon) clans.
The younger son, on the other hand, sired the Senju (of the Leaf), Uzumaki (of the Whirlpool), and Hattori (of the Rain) clans-- clans which possessed great spirit and natural talent. Of these clans, the younger son's descendants would travel the world and mingle with the natives of these lands. This is why the widespread Hatake (of the Leaf), Sarutobi (of the Leaf), Fuuma (of the Valley), Terumi (of the Mist), Fukui (of the Cloud), and Getsuken (of the Moon) clans are all said to be able to be traced back to having roots in one of those three clans. Other clans that emerged during this time were clans that practiced their own unique form of ninjutsu, or those that were able to combine elements. Over time, the clans settled down in various locations, but feuding would emerge between the clans at times. The peace soon gave way as feudal lords began allying with the clans as they tried to form territories that they controlled.
The conflict exploded in one area that would today be known as the Fire Empire. Shinobi clans of all kinds, allied with various feudal lords that sought control and territory, would wage war. During this period, terrifying monsters known as the tailed beasts would emerge throughout the world. If they were slain, then they would simply revive a few years later, just as powerful as before. One theory about their appearance is the foul chakra of the Jubi seeping out from its prison, but there is no known fact behind their origin.
Some time into these first clan wars, Adra Uchiha, the sole progenitor of the infamous clan, would make his mark known on the world. From the demonic powers in his body and eyes, he sacrificed himself on his deathbed and halted the process of aging past a certain point. From the chaos of this radical change came the order of the strong, and the desire to show their strength. The arrival of the tailed beasts, as well as the beginning of the eternal war of the shinobi empires, marks the first recorded year of history, where legends fade away completely.

(These are characters that exist as genin during the normal Naruto canon. So people in Naruto Uzumaki's generation, but aged up so they're not jobbers. These will be a mix of canon and original characters, depending on which Empire you choose. So choosing the Leaf Empire would give you canon choices like Naruto, Sasuke, Neji, etc etc but something like the Mist Empire would mostly be OCs with the occasional canon character due to a lack of canon to draw from.)
[] Make a new character from scratch.
(As it says, if this is chosen, I shall give out a 'character sheet' for people to fill out and create their own character! More details will be given if this is chosen.)

Greetings! I am Megacookie and this will be my third attempt at a Naruto Quest here. The last two, one of which was the same Empires idea, fell through due to personal reasons and lack of interest. However, I have tried to write this story before on a different site but I hope to bring it here and actually get it finished!
As the title says, this Quest uses an AU, one known as Pyroverse! The creator of the Pyroverse, @pyroflare77 will basically be the co-author but I will be doing a majority (if not all) of the writing while Pyro helps behind the scenes. Anyway, the Pyroverse is basically a modified version of Naruto canon that has been worked and tinkered on by both Pyro and I (mainly Pyro, I only take credit with creating some characters) so things might be different than canon.

Mechanics
Databooks:
These will contain the information about a character, including their stats and available techniques.
Stats:
The stat system is merely the canon stat system, except doubled. So a 5 in Kishimoto's system would be a 10 in mine. Rather skilled people can earn a 10+, showing great skill or natural talent in a stat. More rarely, someone can earn the highest stat possible, a 10++. This means a person excels in the stat or is an extreme prodigy. The eight stats are as follows:
-Ninjutsu: How skilled, strong, and knowledgeable you are in using Ninjutsu techniques.
-Taijutsu: How skilled and knowledgeable you are in hand to hand and weaponry skills.
-Genjutsu: How skilled, strong, and knowledgeable you are in using and recognizing Genjutsu techniques.
-Intelligence: A more passive stat, this is how smart, cunning, and aware you are in all situations.
-Strength: How physically strong you are. It also doubles as your durability stat.
-Speed: How physically fast you are. Also includes general agility an dexterity.
-Stamina: This is how much energy, both physical and chakra wise, you have.
-Hand Seals: How quick you can fire out jutsu. It also doubles as your chakra control stat.
Chakra Costs:
Most jutsu need a certain amount of chakra to utilize. From lowest to highest, the costs are as follows:
None, Minimal, Low, Medium, High, Massive, Monstrous, Fatal.
There's no main correlation to these costs and the stamina stat. I'll generally just eyeball them and scope out how a character is doing stamina wise by feel. But in general, a man with 10 stamina could probably spam more high cost jutsu than a man with 5 stamina.
Game Overs:
Should the event arises where you guys get killed, do not worry! For each arc, you will be afforded 3 lives. You spend one life and restart from the place you died at. However, should you continue to die after the 3 lives are up, then you'll restart from where you died, but now with permanent consequences. Too many deaths could put you in a truly unwinnable situation in the plot and shunt you towards a bad ending! However, your lives refresh at the start of every new arc.
Also, should you be fighting with an ally and they get killed, I will give you the chance to use one of your lives to make sure they survive. Any fatal or reasonably dangerous moment will be met with a Critical Moment! tag.
Alignments:
DnD standard fare will be here with the good/evil and law/chaos axes. But now the square is made into a cube with a third axis added showing the honor of a character. Honorable, Quasihonorable, and Dishonorable are the three elements of this alignment axis, and they simply mean if character is generally trustworthy, a wild card, or untrustworthy respectively.
Relationships:
Relationships go from -10 to 10, with 0 meaning neutral. Easy enough to understand! While it differs between characters, generally you need a 6 or 7 to initiate a romance, and getting below a -7 means archenemy territory.
The Quest's Relation to Canon Naruto:
I utilize Pyro's modification of the canon setting, known amongst others as the Pyroverse. It's far more fleshed out as a setting with many additional characters. He has developed it over time as the manga progressed, generally following it until he started disagreeing with many things past the Fourth World War arc, either because he disliked them or they irreconcilably contradicted setting elements he had already made.

In a non-Empires setting, Nou was the second host of the One-Tailed Beast, Shukaku. She was a student of the man that would become the Third Kazekage, Shotetsu, and her teammates were Bankou and Fumi. She and her teammates would end up being significant powers for the Sand during the Second World War, where she was known as the Demon of the Sands and her team known as the Desert Three. Unfortunately, her health would rapidly decline during the Third World War due to the experimental nature of the seal the Second Kazekage used to place Shukaku within her. Her sudden illness and death led to the chaotic situation that required the unprepared transfer of Shukaku into the unborn Gaara.
Ninjutsu:
Armor of Sand:
Using this technique, Nou can cover herself in a compacted layer of sand, providing an additional defense should her Shield of Sand fail; combined, these two are known as Nou's "Absolute Defense". Though quite effective, maintaining the armor requires a large amount of chakra and stamina. Furthermore, it is nowhere as resilient as the Shield of Sand, since it easily breaks away upon impact, indicating that the sole purpose of the armor is to absorb impact channeled unto Nou's body during battle. Another weakness is the additional weight of the sand which leads to decreased levels of speed and mobility.
Chakra Use: Medium but requires upkeep.
Concealed Sand Picture Cat:
By dispersing specialized sand into a specific area, the user is able to discern the presence of bodies that comes into direct contact with it. This sensing sand can be spread across a wide terrain, or even float in the air allowing aerial foes to be detected. Once the sand comes in contact with a person, it will wrap itself around them, rendering even invisible targets, visible.
Chakra Use: Low.
Dance of the Cutting Sand:
Nou's signature jutsu. By mixing sand with various minerals in the ground and compressing them as hard has possible, Nou creates multiple blades of sand that float around her. Nou can control these blades with her power over sand, meaning she can attack while freely using other jutsu or defending. The sharpness of these blades are considered greater than the cutting power of wind chakra infused weapon and are as hard as diamonds, making them difficult to defend to defend against and hard to break apart.
Chakra Use: Medium, but requires upkeep.
Dance of the Desert Sand:
One of Nou's most powerful jutsu. After spreading her sand or turning a large amount of land into sand, Nou compresses the sand until its as hard as diamonds. From there, she makes thousands of spikes erupt from the earth, skewering anybody and anything within its radius. From there, Nou can control the spikes however she sees fit, should the enemy not be defeated.
Chakra Use: Massive.
Dance of the Drilling Sand:
Similar to the Dance of the Cutting Sand, instead of blades, Nou creates diamond hard drill tipped spears instead. Mainly used to impale opponents, Nou can make these spears spin rapidly, increasing their piercing power to the point where its greater then lightning infused weapons.
Chakra Use: Medium, but requires upkeep.
Dance of the Impenetrable Sand:
A defensive jutsu where Nou creates a large wall of sand between her and an opponent or attack. Then Nou compresses the sand with minerals to create an extremely powerful and sturdy defensive wall.
Chakra Use: Medium.
Dance of the Smashing Sand:
Similar to the Dance of the Cutting Sand, instead of blades, Nou creates diamond hard mallets instead. These mallets have unbelievable crushing power, able to easily smash through rock and even metal. Their strength is enough to cause small craters on the ground upon impact.
Chakra Use: Medium, but requires upkeep.
Dance of the Unbreakable Sand:
A combination of the Armor of Sand and the Dance of the Cutting Sand, Nou compresses the sand around her body until it is diamond hard. The enhanced armor is now nearly indestructible and can even defend Nou against powerful jutsu. However, this hardened sand renders Nou immobile, making her an easy target. Nou gets around this weakness by using Desert Suspension to move around as needed, though she cannot use earth and wind jutsu in this state.
Chakra Use: High, but requires upkeep.
Desert Suspension:
This is one of the multiple offensive and auxiliary methods Nou has thought of during combat. It is a trick where she uses the chakra-enhanced sand to support her own weight and float in mid-air and to use as a method of transportation if needed. By increasing the size of the platform Nou can transport others along with her or even grant some one else their own platform of sand to fly on. This technique apparently uses very little chakra, as Nou stated riding on the sand would help her conserve chakra. Another testament to this technique is its speed; Nou can cover great distances in mere minutes.
Chakra Use: Minimal.
Earth Release: Headhunter Jutsu:
The user sinks into the ground while grabbing their opponent, causing them to sink down into the ground, too. Unless the enemy knows earth jutsu, they will have a difficult time breaking free.
Chakra Use: Minimal.
Earth Release: Hidden Mole Jutsu:
The user converts the earth beneath them into fine sand, allowing them to sink into the ground and dig through it. The user can sense their position underground, as well as the positions of things above the ground.
Chakra Use: Low.
Earth Release: Rock Shelter:
The user surrounds themselves with earth, taken from the immediate vicinity, in order to fabricate a formation of rock that is capable of protecting both the user and others in close proximity, if desired. Doing so, seemingly leaves the surrounding terrain unaltered, even when the quantity of earth used is enough to form a complete dome around multiple individuals. The user can also manipulate the resulting shelter to have openings in it so as to be able to observe outside.
Chakra Use: Medium.
Sand Bullet:
Nou forms a small sphere made of sand and compresses it to increase its hardness. The sphere can strike opponents with such speed and force that it knocks them unconscious. She can also change its trajectory, to strike down multiple targets.
Chakra Use: Low.
Sand Clone:
Using sand as a medium, the user can create clones of themselves or others. The clone's form can be changed instantly into sand, and the enemy's body can be trapped. Unlike other clones, it does not dissolve or vanish when hit once, but can reform itself. Its many applications with long-range attacks can have it act as a lure and a decoy.
Chakra Use: Low.
Sand Drizzle:
After clotting together sand into countless small lumps, Nou uses them to attack an enemy from every direction. Because all the sand lumps are controlled by chakra, it is possible to commence an attack without any blind spots. This technique is often used as lure in battle, distracting an opponent and leaving them vulnerable to an attack from below. In order for this to work, the enemy is first made to face upwards with the sand rain, simultaneously bringing their field of activities under the user's control.
Chakra Use: Medium.
Sand Hail:
A larger scale version of the Sand Drizzle, Nou gathers her sand into large clumps in the shape of massive boulder-like formations and then drops them from the sky on to her opponents. It covers a large range, making it difficult to dodge. Like the Sand Drizzle, the technique can distract the enemy with the aerial assault, leaving them open to an attack from below.
Chakra Use: High.
Sand Shuriken:
Nou forms her sand into the shape of multiple shuriken and then launches them at her opponent. Taking advantage of that formidable centrifugal force, the fired blades of sand change into dangerous weapons. Nou creates and fires an uninterrupted succession of sand rounds, tearing everything in sight to pieces.
Chakra Use: Low.
Shield of Sand:
A technique that is unique to Jinchuriki of The One Tailed Beast. Whenever Nou is about to be harmed, a shield of sand will automatically surround and protect her. The sand will react regardless of Nou's will, even protecting her from self-inflicted injuries.
The defensive power and versatility of the sand is where this ability truly shines. The shield was formidable in both speed and strength — capable of withstanding considerably strong attacks and blocking fast projectiles. However, it could be defeated with extreme speeds and a great amount of brute force. The Shield of Sand and the Armor of Sand together were known as Nou's "Absolute Defense", well known and praised by many.
Nou can also change the shape of the shield and its density, to increase both speed and defense. The more powerful variations of the shield is that of the Sand Sphere, or Shukaku's Shield. Whenever one form of this defense is breached, Nou has been shown to improve and create other more powerful defenses.

In order for this to work, the enemy is first made to face upwards with the sand rain, simultaneously bringing their field of activities under the user's control.

Sasori can shoot fire from the pipes on his hands, making them like flamethrowers. The flames are fierce enough to melt rocks and incinerate a metal kunai near instantly. It uses the first scroll on his back as ammunition.
Water Stream Shooters:
Sasori can shoot pressurized streams of water from the pipes in his palms, similar to a water cannon. By twisting his wrists like knobs, Sasori can condense the streams into water jet cutters that can slice through rocks and clouds. It uses the fourth scroll on his back as ammunition.

From there, Sozen can sever these threads, thus taking it away from the target forever. Sozen can cripple the target's body by severing their muscles, turn them deaf, blind, and mute, and even take away their knowledge of how to do jutsu or basic human functions. However, this jutsu requires extreme preparation time and it only works on one person at a time.

Introduction II
There are many possible protagonists who could be the one to radically change Jihopan. But only one can be chosen, who will it be?
[] Adachi Terumi
Adachi is a seventeen year old shinobi who has cut ties with any Empire, being a drifter. This is due to his hatred of the shinobi war that has ravaged the land and he has sought out on a journey to find a way to end the ceaseless battle. Outwardly, he is a goofy, foolish, and some would call dense, but this is merely a guise for underneath he is intelligent, charismatic, and even ruthless at times. On his journey, during a life and death battle he unlocked the legendary power of the Sage of the Six Paths, the Rinnegan. Although highly inexperienced with the legendary doujutsu, Adachi now has the answer to truly end the war.
In battle, Adachi wasn't much to speak of until he unlocked the Rinnegan. However, with its power, his potential to grow is nearly limitless.
[] Gengyo Uchiha
Gengyo is a man in his twenties and is firmly loyal to the Rebellion of the Leaf Empire. The Leaf Empire is currently in a civil war between the Rebellion, a group made of the Uchiha, Hyuga, and Aburame Clans, and the Loyalists, spearheaded by the Senju and supported by every other Leaf clan. He was born between an Uchiha mother and a Senju father, giving him the potential of both. However, his body attuned more naturally to the Yin of the Uchiha, allowing him to unlock his Sharingan. Gengyo is cynical and callous, but genuinely zealous to the Rebellion cause. He is in constant conflict with his younger brother, Jomaru.
In battle, Gengyo relies on his Sharingan to help him use various genjutsu to disable the opponent. He revels in trying to break his opponents and trying to bring out their true selves. Otherwise, he is skilled with Fire Release jutsu and has dabbled in Lightning Release.

Jomaru is in his twenties and is firmly loyal to the Loyalists cause of the Leaf Empire. The Leaf Empire is currently in a civil war between the Rebellion, a group made of the Uchiha, Hyuga, and Aburame Clans, and the Loyalists, spearheaded by the Senju and supported by every other Leaf clan. He was born between an Uchiha mother and a Senju father, giving him the potential of both. However, his body attuned more naturally to the Yang of the Senju, granting him enhanced ninjutsu potential and a sturdy body.
In battle, Jomaru is skilled with Earth and Water Release. He mainly combines them with his skills in Taijutsu as he is highly tolerant to pain, letting him push through attacks that could stagger a normal man. As a last resort, he can also open the Eight Gates.
[] Nou Saito
Nou is a woman from the Sand Empire and one of the Jinchuriki Experiments. She was chosen as having high compatibility with The One Tailed Tanuki and had its chakra injected into her. She was highly compatible, enough to gain some of the One Tail's power, but overall she was rejected when The Fourth Kazekage's son was picked as the perfect vessel. Due to this, she is ostracized by a majority of her Empire for being tainted by demon chakra, but her monstrous confidence lets her shrug it off and continue being a loyal shinobi of the Sand.
In battle, Nou can manipulate sand thanks to her chakra being mixed with The One Tailed Tanuki, though her control is nowhere near as strong as Gaara's. With this, she creates diamond hard weapons out of sand and minerals and has them surround her, allowing her to use her hands for wind and earth jutsu if needed.
[] Gaikotsu Kaguya
Gaikotsu is a man from the Mist Empire and part of the brutal Kaguya Clan. The youngest of four siblings, Gaikotsu instantly attracted ire and scorn from his clan and family as he was one of the very rare few to possess the Shikotsumyaku, allowed him control over his skeleton as he pleases. He was locked away by his clan, only brought out when the Mist Empire needed more firepower in the war. Due to this, his sense of morality is rather warped and he tries to turn everything into a joke for his own amusement.
In battle, Gaikotsu can manipulate his skeletal structure as much as he wants, making him a powerful shinobi. However, unlike the past users who focused in taijutsu, Gaikotsu more focuses on bone based ninjutsu. His signature jutsu is Bone Bending, where he is able to control an opponent's body by taking control of their skeletal structure.
[] Akane Ryokuzo
Akane is a woman from the Rock Empire. She is a wild spirit, known for constantly disobeying orders to fuel her own agendas, which change everyday. She also has quite the obsession with fire, to the point she's called "The Inferno" of the Rock and her behavior is no doubt fueled by pyromania. She also enjoys intimate female company. However, she is usually kept in check by her twin sister Aoi, her father Shiro, and her uncle Roshi, who is the Jinchuriki of the Four Tails.
In battle, Akane covers the battlefield with large fire jutsu and when she really needs to kill something, she'll use her Lava Release Kekkei Genkai. Her only means of defense is earth jutsu and she has massive physical strength.
[] Ise Yotsuki
Ise is a woman from the Cloud Empire. She is a cool, calm, and collected shinobi who is friendly and kind outside of battle, but passionate inside it. However, she harbors a deep and undying hatred for the Leaf Empire after she traveled through her way into the Leaf so the legendary medical ninja Tsunade could heal her sick boyfriend. Ise was instead captured and tortured by the Leaf until a raid by the Rebellion freed everyone within a Loyalist prison. When Ise returned to the Cloud, she found out her boyfriend had died. Her hatred for the Leaf intensified from there...
In battle, Ise uses the Storm Release Kekkei Genkai to create various laser like beams that she can freely control. While not having raw power on her side, she uses the tricky nature of Storm Release for cunning plans.
[] Suguru Otokorashii
Suguru is a man coming from the Frost Empire and the pinnacle creation of Shigetaka Otokorashii. Due to his father's extreme experiments, Suguru has unlocked the power of a Kekkei Tota, Energy Release, which gives him the ability to control, manipulate, and even absorb various types of energy. Due to his upbringing, Suguru knows nothing of the outside world and doesn't know how to properly socialize. His brother is Suchiru Otokorashii, Shigetaka's first son and current leader of the Frost Empire.
In battle, Suguru uses his Kekkei Tota to fire various energy beams, power himself up, and he can even absorb other energy as needed. This makes him a powerful and versatile fighter.
[] Hoderi Hideyoshi
A samurai from the neutral Iron Empire, Hoderi is the older brother of Hoori. Together, they are well known through the Iron Empire for their strength and speed respectively. Hoderi was born without an ounce of talent, but he trained everyday until he became a respected samurai, but this harsh training left him sour and bitter, and with little few he can call friends. He holds a massive grudge for his younger brother, who was naturally talented with a blade since he was a child.
In battle, Hoderi uses the standard Samurai technique of covering his blade with chakra, but instead of the Iaido style Samurai are known for, he uses pure brute strength to crush through enemies with ease. His sword is usually used more as a club, and his endurance lets him get up even after brutal attacks.
[] Hoori Hideyoshi
A samurai from the neutral Iron Empire, Hoori is the younger brother of Hoderi. Together, they are well known through the Iron Empire for their strength and speed respectively. Hoori had talent for swordsmanship and quickly grew in terms of skill, mastering the Iaido style years before his peers. He has many friends and even a boyfriend unlike his brother due to his easygoing personality. Unfortunately he knows his older brother holds a grudge against him and merely wants to mend fences with him.
In battle, Hoori is known for ending fights in mere seconds due to his speed and skill in Iaido. He is as fast as his brother is strong, but is rather frail compared to his brother.
[] Kotei Uragiri
Kotei is a man from the Whirlpool Protectorate, a nation that is protected by the Leaf Empire. Kotei is a sociopathic and sadistic man who finds no meaning in life, so he lives to the fullest and does whatever he wishes. He is well known for being the only known user of a type of Space/Time jutsu which lets him manipulate and control gravity itself. Kotei has no limiters or filters and is followed by his girlfriend Yukari Uzumaki, his teammate from childhood and who he molded to be his own plaything after years of abuse. Kotei is not a good person.
In battle, Kotei uses gravity Space/Time jutsu to great effect, allowing him to fly freely, manipulate the weight of objects, and even create wells of gravity to crush opponents.
[] Tazu Satori
Tazu is a woman from the Forest Protectorate, a nation that unexpectedly won freedom from the Rock Empire and was quickly allied with the Sand Empire for protection. She is a cunning and ruthless leader of a mercenary group known as the The Toxic Moths who has a base in the Forest. Tazu cares not for loyalty, but only for money, which is why a hot spot like the Forest is appealing to her. She hopes to expand her group into the criminal underworld and become respected crime lord.
In battle, Tazu uses her Poison Release Kekkei Genkai, moth summons, and wind jutsu to poison and weaken her foes until she can cut them down with her katana. She will also cheat as hard as she possible can at all times.
[] Otoshi
Otoshi is one of Orochimaru's greatest experiments, hailing from the Rain-Sound Alliance. Having only been recently created, Otoshi has a childish nature despite having a fully developed mind, which makes him very cocky and even malicious. Due to this, he also loves messing with people in various ways. He is the First of Orochimaru's Five Stars, which mark him as the highest possible authority next to Kabuto and Orochimaru himself. While Otoshi would want to do his own things, his 'father' Orochimaru is generally able to keep him in line and keep him loyal to the Rain-Sound Alliance.
In battle, In battle, Otoshi is a master swordsman and able to manipulate Yin and Yang energies. He is an excellent sensor who can detect even the most minute of changes, which helps since he cannot see-- he has an artificial doujutsu made by Orochimaru that grants control of anyone who looks at the eyes that cannot grant vision. Finally, he is an artificial human, more durable than most due to lacking a majority of internal organs and because his chakra regenerates injuries.
[] Jiao Wu-Yun
Jiao is a woman from the eastern land of Qinguo, and a princess of the Tiger Country. Sick and tired of trying untangle the bureaucracies of her land, she learned the language of Jihopan and escaped from her pampered life in order to become a leader there. However, she quickly found that Jihopan was in a bitter war and was swept up into the conflict. Still determined to become a grand ruler, Jiao now begins planning her conquest of Jihopan. As for her personality, she is a vain, arrogant, and spoiled woman who demands everything and anything and never tolerates disrespect.
In battle, Jiao was born with telekinetic powers that allow her to fly, make barriers, and even fire blasts of telekinetic energy. With this power, she can also convert elemental attacks, such as turning a sturdy earth jutsu into an intangible wall of fire. Due to being part of royalty, she can also use all Five Elemental Styles from Qinguo. The Tiger Style allows her to manipulate metal, The Qilin Style allows her to manipulate wood and even air to a minor extent, The Phoenix Style allows her to manipulate fire, The Tortoise Style allows her to manipulate water, and finally the The Dragon Style lets her manipulate earth.

Adachi is a seventeen year old shinobi who has cut ties with any Empire, being a drifter. This is due to his hatred of the shinobi war that has ravaged the land and he has sought out on a journey to find a way to end the ceaseless battle. Outwardly, he is a goofy, foolish, and some would call dense, but this is merely a guise for underneath he is intelligent, charismatic, and even ruthless at times. On his journey, during a life and death battle he unlocked the legendary power of the Sage of the Six Paths, the Rinnegan. Although highly inexperienced with the legendary doujutsu, Adachi now has the answer to truly end the war.
In battle, Adachi wasn't much to speak of until he unlocked the Rinnegan. However, with its power, his potential to grow is nearly limitless.
[] Gengyo Uchiha
Gengyo is a man in his twenties and is firmly loyal to the Rebellion of the Leaf Empire. The Leaf Empire is currently in a civil war between the Rebellion, a group made of the Uchiha, Hyuga, and Aburame Clans, and the Loyalists, spearheaded by the Senju and supported by every other Leaf clan. He was born between an Uchiha mother and a Senju father, giving him the potential of both. However, his body attuned more naturally to the Yin of the Uchiha, allowing him to unlock his Sharingan. Gengyo is cynical and callous, but genuinely zealous to the Rebellion cause. He is in constant conflict with his younger brother, Jomaru.
In battle, Gengyo relies on his Sharingan to help him use various genjutsu to disable the opponent. He revels in trying to break his opponents and trying to bring out their true selves. Otherwise, he is skilled with Fire Release jutsu and has dabbled in Lightning Release.
[] Jomaru Senju
Jomaru is in his twenties and is firmly loyal to the Loyalists cause of the Leaf Empire. The Leaf Empire is currently in a civil war between the Rebellion, a group made of the Uchiha, Hyuga, and Aburame Clans, and the Loyalists, spearheaded by the Senju and supported by every other Leaf clan. He was born between an Uchiha mother and a Senju father, giving him the potential of both. However, his body attuned more naturally to the Yang of the Senju, granting him enhanced ninjutsu potential and a sturdy body.
In battle, Jomaru is skilled with Earth and Water Release. He mainly combines them with his skills in Taijutsu as he is highly tolerant to pain, letting him push through attacks that could stagger a normal man. As a last resort, he can also open the Eight Gates.
[] Nou Saito
Nou is a woman from the Sand Empire and one of the Jinchuriki Experiments. She was chosen as having high compatibility with The One Tailed Tanuki and had its chakra injected into her. She was highly compatible, enough to gain some of the One Tail's power, but overall she was rejected when The Fourth Kazekage's son was picked as the perfect vessel. Due to this, she is ostracized by a majority of her Empire for being tainted by demon chakra, but her monstrous confidence lets her shrug it off and continue being a loyal shinobi of the Sand.
In battle, Nou can manipulate sand thanks to her chakra being mixed with The One Tailed Tanuki, though her control is nowhere near as strong as Gaara's. With this, she creates diamond hard weapons out of sand and minerals and has them surround her, allowing her to use her hands for wind and earth jutsu if needed.
[] Gaikotsu Kaguya
Gaikotsu is a man from the Mist Empire and part of the brutal Kaguya Clan. The youngest of four siblings, Gaikotsu instantly attracted ire and scorn from his clan and family as he was one of the very rare few to possess the Shikotsumyaku, allowed him control over his skeleton as he pleases. He was locked away by his clan, only brought out when the Mist Empire needed more firepower in the war. Due to this, his sense of morality is rather warped and he tries to turn everything into a joke for his own amusement.
In battle, Gaikotsu can manipulate his skeletal structure as much as he wants, making him a powerful shinobi. However, unlike the past users who focused in taijutsu, Gaikotsu more focuses on bone based ninjutsu. His signature jutsu is Bone Bending, where he is able to control an opponent's body by taking control of their skeletal structure.
[] Akane Ryokuzo
Akane is a woman from the Rock Empire. She is a wild spirit, known for constantly disobeying orders to fuel her own agendas, which change everyday. She also has quite the obsession with fire, to the point she's called "The Inferno" of the Rock and her behavior is no doubt fueled by pyromania. She also enjoys intimate female company. However, she is usually kept in check by her twin sister Aoi, her father Shiro, and her uncle Roshi, who is the Jinchuriki of the Four Tails.
In battle, Akane covers the battlefield with large fire jutsu and when she really needs to kill something, she'll use her Lava Release Kekkei Genkai. Her only means of defense is earth jutsu and she has massive physical strength.
[] Ise Yotsuki
Ise is a woman from the Cloud Empire. She is a cool, calm, and collected shinobi who is friendly and kind outside of battle, but passionate inside it. However, she harbors a deep and undying hatred for the Leaf Empire after she traveled through her way into the Leaf so the legendary medical ninja Tsunade could heal her sick boyfriend. Ise was instead captured and tortured by the Leaf until a raid by the Rebellion freed everyone within a Loyalist prison. When Ise returned to the Cloud, she found out her boyfriend had died. Her hatred for the Leaf intensified from there...
In battle, Ise uses the Storm Release Kekkei Genkai to create various laser like beams that she can freely control. While not having raw power on her side, she uses the tricky nature of Storm Release for cunning plans.
[] Suguru Otokorashii
Suguru is a man coming from the Frost Empire and the pinnacle creation of Shigetaka Otokorashii. Due to his father's extreme experiments, Suguru has unlocked the power of a Kekkei Tota, Energy Release, which gives him the ability to control, manipulate, and even absorb various types of energy. Due to his upbringing, Suguru knows nothing of the outside world and doesn't know how to properly socialize. His brother is Suchiru Otokorashii, Shigetaka's first son and current leader of the Frost Empire.
In battle, Suguru uses his Kekkei Tota to fire various energy beams, power himself up, and he can even absorb other energy as needed. This makes him a powerful and versatile fighter.
[] Hoderi Hideyoshi
A samurai from the neutral Iron Empire, Hoderi is the older brother of Hoori. Together, they are well known through the Iron Empire for their strength and speed respectively. Hoderi was born without an ounce of talent, but he trained everyday until he became a respected samurai, but this harsh training left him sour and bitter, and with little few he can call friends. He holds a massive grudge for his younger brother, who was naturally talented with a blade since he was a child.
In battle, Hoderi uses the standard Samurai technique of covering his blade with chakra, but instead of the Iaido style Samurai are known for, he uses pure brute strength to crush through enemies with ease. His sword is usually used more as a club, and his endurance lets him get up even after brutal attacks.
[] Hoori Hideyoshi
A samurai from the neutral Iron Empire, Hoori is the younger brother of Hoderi. Together, they are well known through the Iron Empire for their strength and speed respectively. Hoori had talent for swordsmanship and quickly grew in terms of skill, mastering the Iaido style years before his peers. He has many friends and even a boyfriend unlike his brother due to his easygoing personality. Unfortunately he knows his older brother holds a grudge against him and merely wants to mend fences with him.
In battle, Hoori is known for ending fights in mere seconds due to his speed and skill in Iaido. He is as fast as his brother is strong, but is rather frail compared to his brother.
[] Kotei Uragiri
Kotei is a man from the Whirlpool Protectorate, a nation that is protected by the Leaf Empire. Kotei is a sociopathic and sadistic man who finds no meaning in life, so he lives to the fullest and does whatever he wishes. He is well known for being the only known user of a type of Space/Time jutsu which lets him manipulate and control gravity itself. Kotei has no limiters or filters and is followed by his girlfriend Yukari Uzumaki, his teammate from childhood and who he molded to be his own plaything after years of abuse. Kotei is not a good person.
In battle, Kotei uses gravity Space/Time jutsu to great effect, allowing him to fly freely, manipulate the weight of objects, and even create wells of gravity to crush opponents.
[] Tazu Satori
Tazu is a woman from the Forest Protectorate, a nation that unexpectedly won freedom from the Rock Empire and was quickly allied with the Sand Empire for protection. She is a cunning and ruthless leader of a mercenary group known as the The Toxic Moths who has a base in the Forest. Tazu cares not for loyalty, but only for money, which is why a hot spot like the Forest is appealing to her. She hopes to expand her group into the criminal underworld and become respected crime lord.
In battle, Tazu uses her Poison Release Kekkei Genkai, moth summons, and wind jutsu to poison and weaken her foes until she can cut them down with her katana. She will also cheat as hard as she possible can at all times.
[] Otoshi
Otoshi is one of Orochimaru's greatest experiments, hailing from the Rain-Sound Alliance. Having only been recently created, Otoshi has a childish nature despite having a fully developed mind, which makes him very cocky and even malicious. Due to this, he also loves messing with people in various ways. He is the First of Orochimaru's Five Stars, which mark him as the highest possible authority next to Kabuto and Orochimaru himself. While Otoshi would want to do his own things, his 'father' Orochimaru is generally able to keep him in line and keep him loyal to the Rain-Sound Alliance.
In battle, In battle, Otoshi is a master swordsman and able to manipulate Yin and Yang energies. He is an excellent sensor who can detect even the most minute of changes, which helps since he cannot see-- he has an artificial doujutsu made by Orochimaru that grants control of anyone who looks at the eyes that cannot grant vision. Finally, he is an artificial human, more durable than most due to lacking a majority of internal organs and because his chakra regenerates injuries.
[] Jiao Wu-Yun
Jiao is a woman from the eastern land of Qinguo, and a princess of the Tiger Country. Sick and tired of trying untangle the bureaucracies of her land, she learned the language of Jihopan and escaped from her pampered life in order to become a leader there. However, she quickly found that Jihopan was in a bitter war and was swept up into the conflict. Still determined to become a grand ruler, Jiao now begins planning her conquest of Jihopan. As for her personality, she is a vain, arrogant, and spoiled woman who demands everything and anything and never tolerates disrespect.
In battle, Jiao was born with telekinetic powers that allow her to fly, make barriers, and even fire blasts of telekinetic energy. With this power, she can also convert elemental attacks, such as turning a sturdy earth jutsu into an intangible wall of fire. Due to being part of royalty, she can also use all Five Elemental Styles from Qinguo. The Tiger Style allows her to manipulate metal, The Qilin Style allows her to manipulate wood and even air to a minor extent, The Phoenix Style allows her to manipulate fire, The Tortoise Style allows her to manipulate water, and finally the The Dragon Style lets her manipulate earth.
Prologue: Chapter 1
Your eyes snapped open as you awoke and turned your head to the alarm clock on your nightstand. The time said it was 5:59 AM and you grumbled in annoyance. You could have slept in a full minute! But knowing you were awake, you quickly made the alarm clock go to sleep before it began to ring. Yawning, you got out of bed and moved to the bathroom where you began your morning routine. After a shower and brushing your teeth, you picked out some clothing and stood in front of the full length mirror that was built on your closet door.
After you were done, the reflected shown a woman long red hair, tanned skin, and bright blue eyes. Underneath her eyes were deep and heavy bags, made only from a near lifetime of insomnia. The woman wore a baggy white cloak that hid the standard tan colored Sand Empire flak jacket and the black pants underneath it. The hood of the white cloak was put up over the woman's head, but she made great effort to keep her long red hair spilling down her shoulders rather than stuffing it all in the hood. This woman was you! Nou Saito!
"Oi! Do me a favor here and show me your tits, eh? C'mon, I'm dying of chastity here!" a wild, vibrant, and almost drunken sounding voice bellowed into your mind, the words annoyingly ringing in your ears. This was the voice of the One Tailed Beast. Despite only being injected with its chakra, it was apparently enough for part of the beast's mind to have some form of conscious thought within your body. The only way you could explain it was that, as far as you knew, the One Tailed Beast was a demon made of chakra, so its chakra mixing with yours allowed to bring it to life in some form.
Thankfully, it was only an echo of the actual Tailed Beast, it usually only talked to you during your dreams, right after you woke up, and whenever you got emotional. It was annoying, but you couldn't even imagine what the true Jinchuriki of the One Tailed Beast had to go through. But you were happy to bear this burden, it only made you even more powerful! During these harsh times, your number one goal was to protect your home you loved so much.
"I'm telling ya! You're a fine piece of ass! How about you put that body to work and invite some guys and chicks and we get freaky?" The One Tailed Beast demanded, but you dutifully ignored its voice as you went on making yourself a simple breakfast of toast and and eggs. The Beast continued trying to talk you into doing various lurid acts, but thankfully the voice grew weaker and more distant as you finished getting ready for the day. When you walked out of the door of your house, it was around 7 in the morning. The sun was beginning to warm up the previous freezing night, which meant the weather was actually very nice.
"It's going to be a good day!" you said to yourself with a confident smile. You walked away from your house, a small place tucked in the corner of the village. As you walked through your part of the neighborhood, you said hello to the citizens but they all turned away from you. It was due to your existence as a pseudo Jinchuriki, although not harboring the beast itself, being tainted by its chakra was seemingly enough.
But this didn't bother you in the slightest. Some thought you were crazy for being able to shrug off all whispers, rumors, and even outright verbal abuse, but you were proud to carry this burden. You would do anything to ensure the success of the Sand Empire, so the sacrifice was worth it in your eyes.
It was then a brief blur appeared in front of you, a masked man wearing the standard Sand outfit. It was one of the Sand's ANBU. After a brief greeting, the ANBU said, "Nou, the Council wishes to meet you."
"Understood," you replied. The ANBU vanished and you jumped to the top of the buildings in the area, leaping off them to reach the Administration Building, where the Council met, along with where shinobi got their missions. You entered through the front lobby door, where you saw four large statues of the four Kazekage that lead the Empire. Each statue was made out of gold, but you walked past them and up the stairs, the clerk in the lobby expecting you.
You quickly reached the top floor of the building where you saw familiar large doors. You knocked and a stern voice told you to enter. Doing so, you entered a large room that had a table curved into half a circle. The walls on the room had various maps of Jihopan and of the Sand Empire, nothing was more interesting than the four men sitting behind the table.
The first was a stern looking man with brown spiky hair that was tied into a small ponytail. He wore a black jumpsuit underneath his Kage robes, with some cloth firmly strapped against his chin, which could be raised to form a mask. This was the First Kazekage, Retto Saito. He was famous for being one of the founding fathers of the Sand Empire!
The second, sitting next to Retto, was the Second Kazekage. He was a bald man with a tattoo of a dragon circling around his head, the claw of the dragon was tattooed over his right eye. This was the Second Kazekage, Monzaemon Chikamatsu, inventor of the Puppet Technique that became a mainstay in the Sand Empire and a diligent researcher on Jinchuriki. Though he preferred to be called Shamon for a reason you didn't quite know.
The third was a tall man with shaggy dark blue hair and piercing yellow eyes. He wore the standard Kage robes and had his arms crossed, though out of all the Kazekage, he looked the most relaxed. This was the Third Kazekage, Shotetsu Saito. He was hailed as being the strongest of all Kazekage and many consider him the biggest pillar in the Sand Empire. You had a more personal relationship with him, for he was your mentor when you were a genin! He gave you a nod to acknowledge that fact before leaning back in his seat.
Finally, the fourth was a man with spiky auburn hair who also had his arms crossed. He had a firm scowl etched on his face and his glare was icy cold. He wore the same Kage robes as the other three. This was the Fourth Kazekage, Rasa Saito, son of Shotetsu. He was extremely controversial to the public, but he is intelligent about how a village operates.
"Lord Kazekage," you respectfully said, kneeling down. "What have you called me for?"
"Rise, Nou," Shamon said and you did so. "Before we begin, has the Tailed Beast's chakra interfered in anything since the last report?"
"No sir, other than some meaningless talk within my mind," you dutifully reported. Shamon looked satisfied at your answer. He was the leading researcher on Jinchuriki after all, so he was always interested in talking to you.
"With that out of the way," Rasa quickly said, as if annoyed. "Our scouts found out a presence of Rock shinobi at the border of the Sand and Rain. They're thinking they could use that route as an advantage to enter the Sand Empire. We want you to drive them out by any means necessary."
"Understood. Do we know if the Rock shinobi is anyone of repute?" you asked.
"We are unsure, but its clear that the Rock didn't send their best, they seem to be scouting for any footholds," Retto spoke up, his voice deep and steady. "According to the reports, it might be a Jonin leader with some chunin."
"Will I have any support?" you inquired.
"We can't afford that, so it will be a solo mission. I have full confidence you can handle it, Nou," Shotetsu answered. "Although due to your status, should the mission prove too dangerous, retreat immediately."
"Yes, Lord Kazekage," you said.
This seems like a rather cut and dry mission, but did you have any other questions?

A question popped into your mind as you reviewed the mission in your mind. "Is the Rain involved in anyway? They might be supporting the Rock."
"I highly doubt it," Shamon said. "The Rain and Sound allied together both for survival and due to their unwillingness to ally with any other Empire. The Rain is a popular place for battle, and they share a hatred with anyone who has fought there."
"So mostly the Sand, Rock, and Leaf Empires," Shotetsu added.
"To give you an official answer, no, none of our scouts have reported any interference from the Rain," Retto finished.
"Anything else, or shall you keep on wasting our time?" Rasa rudely said, glaring at you.
"That will be all. I shall be back as soon as I can," you said, bowing before leaving the grand office. You moved down the building and when you reached the outside, a familiar face greeted you.
"Nou, how're you doing?" Fumi Komatsuzaki asked. Fumi was an extremely beautiful woman with silver hair tied back into a low ponytail. You had known her since childhood, she along with you and Bankou Saito were a team underneath the teachings of Shotetsu Saito, the Third Kazekage. As a result, you had become best friend with her.
"Doing fine, Fumi. About ready to go on a mission," you replied with a smile.
"I just got back from one, a delivery of supplies to the Forest Protectorate. I had my old genin team with me so it went smoothly," Fumi said, flipping some of her hair out of her eyes.
"How are the girls?" you continued, having met Fumi's team she trained multiple times.
"Suketsune is fine, Aiko is a sweetheart as always and...Makoto...well. When she wasn't hitting on everything with breasts she preformed well," Fumi answered with annoyance, but it was tinged with a smile on her lips.
"That's good to hear," you said, looking into the sky as the sun grew higher. The familiar heat of the desert was staring to flare up.
"What mission are you going on? Do you need backup?" Fumi asked curiously.
"It's a solo mission, some Rock scouts have been found at the border of the Rain and Sand. Gonna clear 'em out," you answered. "Pretty shut and open."
"Hmph. Be careful. Anyway, after your get back, wanna go get some drinks? I'm actually on break tomorrow," Fumi suggested.
"Maybe, I dunno my schedule. But I'll contact you if I got the time," you honestly replied. Fumi nodded and wished you luck before heading into the Administration Building.

A question popped into your mind as you reviewed the mission in your mind. "Is the Rain involved in anyway? They might be supporting the Rock."
"I highly doubt it," Shamon said. "The Rain and Sound allied together both for survival and due to their unwillingness to ally with any other Empire. The Rain is a popular place for battle, and they share a hatred with anyone who has fought there."
"So mostly the Sand, Rock, and Leaf Empires," Shotetsu added.
"To give you an official answer, no, none of our scouts have reported any interference from the Rain," Retto finished.
"Anything else, or shall you keep on wasting our time?" Rasa rudely said, glaring at you.
"That will be all. I shall be back as soon as I can," you said, bowing before leaving the grand office. You moved down the building and when you reached the outside, a familiar face greeted you.
"Nou, how're you doing?" Fumi Komatsuzaki asked. Fumi was an extremely beautiful woman with silver hair tied back into a low ponytail. You had known her since childhood, she along with you and Bankou Saito were a team underneath the teachings of Shotetsu Saito, the Third Kazekage. As a result, you had become best friend with her.
"Doing fine, Fumi. About ready to go on a mission," you replied with a smile.
"I just got back from one, a delivery of supplies to the Forest Protectorate. I had my old genin team with me so it went smoothly," Fumi said, flipping some of her hair out of her eyes.
"How are the girls?" you continued, having met Fumi's team she trained multiple times.
"Suketsune is fine, Aiko is a sweetheart as always and...Makoto...well. When she wasn't hitting on everything with breasts she preformed well," Fumi answered with annoyance, but it was tinged with a smile on her lips.
"That's good to hear," you said, looking into the sky as the sun grew higher. The familiar heat of the desert was staring to flare up.
"What mission are you going on? Do you need backup?" Fumi asked curiously.
"It's a solo mission, some Rock scouts have been found at the border of the Rain and Sand. Gonna clear 'em out," you answered. "Pretty shut and open."
"Hmph. Be careful. Anyway, after your get back, wanna go get some drinks? I'm actually on break tomorrow," Fumi suggested.
"Maybe, I dunno my schedule. But I'll contact you if I got the time," you honestly replied. Fumi nodded and wished you luck before heading into the Administration Building.

You already felt prepared enough, so you quickly made your way to the entrance of the village. Surrounding the entire village was a massive valley, a thin slit was the only entrance in and out of the Sunagakure. The stoic shinobi guarding the entrance barely paid you any attention, but that was simply due to how focused they were on protecting the capital of the Sand Empire. When you were a fair distance away from the Sunagakure, you placed a hand on the hot sand and used the powers gifted to you by The One Tailed Beast to form a platform of solid sand to raise you in the air.
Sighing, you rushed forward, the air blowing on your face as the sand platform flew you in the direction of the Sand-Rain border. This was another reason you were chosen for this mission, you could easily fly past the harsh terrain of the desert and get to locations in record time. The brutal heat barely affected you and it was this desert that truly brought a stop to many invasions by the Rock and Leaf Empires.
You took a deep breath, focusing on the mission ahead...

You reached the border after a few hours of travelling. The desert had turned into solid, if barren ground and in the distance you could see the clouds that continually covered the Rain with its namesake. But more importantly, you saw a massive wall made of thick earth that rose high into the sky, covering the land around it in deep shadow. There was a wide split between the wall where it housed a large building, the checkpoint between the Sand and Rain border. Usually it was only used by merchants brave enough to traverse the lands, but more importantly, it held a sizable amount of shinobi for border patrol.
It was maintained by the Sand, as the Rain refused to ally with anyone other than the Sound. But it did its job well. You floated down from your sand platform and landed on the ground in front of the checkpoint, where a Sand shinobi instantly greeted you. He had dark violet hair that hung over his face in three parts, but the most noticeable part about him was him gaunt and hollow cheeks and piercing, slanted eyes.
"Greetings, I wasn't expecting them to send one of the Desert Three to help us," the man said humbly, bowing in respect. "I am Shishio Tabata, the commander of the Sand-Rain Checkpoint."
You nodded and accepted Shishio's invitation when he invited you inside. The checkpoint was practically a fortress and it was rather barren except for various Sand shinobi standing on guard and a few pieces of furniture. You followed Shishio up to the top floor where you entered an office, most likely his. You sat down in front of a desk and Shishio took the opposite seat ahead of you.
"As the report said, we found Rock scouts around the area. They ran off once we tried to apprehend them," Shishio said. "However, I was able to trail them by myself and eventually found their camp within Rain territory."
"Impressive you were able to do that without getting caught," you noted.
"I am trained for tracking and stealth," Shishio casually stated. "There was no Rain shinobi present and every ninja there were wearing symbols of the Rock, in case you were worried of a possible alliance."
"The thought crossed my mind," you truthfully replied.
"In any case, I would normally have a force of shinobi under my command chase the Rock out, but their squad leader is Ichizo Kamizuru," Shishio continued. "He's a newer shinobi for the Rock Empire but he's a terror in battle. He's defeated plenty of our shinobi."
"Kamizuru? So he uses wasps, then?" you asked, mainly for confirmation. "Also, the report said there wasn't any shinobi of note.
"You'd be correct on both accounts. I...made an error when making the report, due to my lack of knowledge on Ichizo. I did some digging afterward and found out he's the heir to the Kamizuru Clan. Its also where I found stories of his battles against the Sand. I deeply apologize," Shishio solemnly said, bowing his head.
"It's alright," you said. "If I take out Ichizo, then the rest of his squad should collapse and try to escape."
"That is the ideal situation. While you do battle with him, I was planning to gather my forces, surround the area, and trap the escapees. From there, they'll be interrogated for any information. Does that sound acceptable to you?" Shishio asked, gazing at you curiously.

"I'd like to research more about Ichizo, I'd rather be prepared if I'm going to be fighting him solo," you said. "Otherwise, the plan sounds fine."
"Hmph. I feel like we should attack as soon as possible, but I'll defer to your experience," Shishio humbly said. He stood up and moved over to the side of the room where a file cabinet was. He opened one drawer and picked out a small black book that had the symbol of the Rock Empire on it. He handed it over to you and you opened it. It was a bingo book of Rock shinobi. You flipped through the pages where you saw pictures of information of various shinobi. You passed by many names, such as Kurotsuchi Ryokuzo, Akatsuchi Ryokuzo, Deidara Hitsume, Mizuno Arisu, Nannari Hitsume, Goda Yohachi and finally you saw Ichizo Kamizuru's name at the end of the book.
"This is information I personally collected on rising threats from the Rock," Shishio explained. "I hope it will be of use."
"Thank you, I also request something to eat and drink, the desert takes its toll," you asked.
"Not an issue," Shishio said with a bow, walking out of the office. You waited for the food to arrive before reading, a simple meal of bread, cheese, and water. As you ate, you read through Ichizo's profile.
'Ichizo Kamizuru is a Jonin of the Rock, and heir to the Kamizuru clan. Due to this he is able to summon wasps to use as he sees fit. Past battles with him have also featured him using Lightning Release jutsu, a contrast from the usual Earth Release jutsu the Rock Empire is known for. As the heir of the Kamizuru Clan, he could potentially have secret techniques beyond the usual standard clan jutsu.'
You looked at the picture Shishio managed to acquire of Ichizo that showed a man with short, spiky sandy blonde hair. His eyes were dark and cold looking, furrowed into a furious glare.
"Wasps and lightning jutsu? My automatic defenses should take care of any insects and I have plenty of wind jutsu to counter that. The advantage is mine, but I can't underestimate him." you thought. You were ready to put the bingo book away when you were thrown off your feet by a powerful earthquake. The stone floor had its upper layer crushed and converted into sand, ensuring you had a soft landing. The shaking kept happening and you heard the screams of surprise by the shinobi within the fortress.
Acting quickly, you dove out the window of the office, making a platform of sand to stand on. It was then you saw multiple Rock shinobi on the other side of the checkpoint, using earth jutsu to disrupt the foundation of the building! You grimaced and made handseals as you flew closer to the Rock ninja.
"Wind Release: Godly Wind From The Mountains!"
You breathed out a vortex of wind that brutally blew away the enemy, the force of the wind easily breaking their bones. When they made impact with the ground, you heard a harsh crunch as they went limp. You turned around and looked at the checkpoint, sighing with relief when you saw it was okay, if a bit crooked.
"Did they really think they could kill all of us with such a basic plan?" you asked to yourself. Then from the sky, you heard a loud, droning buzzing. Looking up, you saw a gigantic wasp, easily the size of a house, it's stinger almost human sized! It flew downward until you were eye level with the man you saw from the report. Sandy blonde hair, dark and cold eyes...and a headband wrapped around his forehead that had the symbol of the Rock.
"Sand...? My god, they sent a Jinchuriki to fight me?" Ichizo chuckled, stretching out his arms. He wore a Rock flak jacket over a black undershirt, his pants were matching in color.
"You know of me?" you asked, your voice cool and calm.
"Only one of three people you can be, and seeing how you aren't a monk or the Fourth Kazekage's son, then that must mean you're Nou!" Ichizo declared. "This'll look good on my record when I kill you!"
"I doubt you can even touch me," you replied.
"Arrogant bitch, aren't ya?" Ichizo shot back. "I'll make sure to humble you."
"A question before we fight, this attack you did. It was much too straight forward, why do something that blunt?" you asked.
"Heh, I merely wanted to see who was running this joint. Now I get to erase some demonic scum off this continent! Just another step closer for me to become the newest Tsuchikage!" Ichizo boasted. You quickly looked back at the checkpoint, where you saw Shishio and multiple Sand shinobi beginning to battle more Rock shinobi that came out of hiding.
Then Ichizo flew upwards on the massive wasp and you followed suit until you had reached the top of the massive wall dividing the border. He jumped off the wasp and landed on top of the wall, the flat surface would give you two plenty of room the fight without distracting the others below. The wasp vanished in a puff of smoke as you also landed on the wall.
"Let's go!" Ichizo cried out, biting his thumb to draw blood as he made hand seals. A massive amount of smoke erupted around Ichizo as hundreds of wasps were summoned around him!

Prologue: Chapter 4
Without making hand seals, you manipulated some sand you kept on you and crushed part of the top layer of the massive earth wall you were standing on. With the sand mixing with the minerals, you formed ten floating swords that you quickly compressed to maximum hardness. Ichizo sent the swarm of wasps at you, but you telekinetically controlled the swords to fly at the wasps, slashing wildly in the air and easily massacring them. When your swords were finished, only a few dozens of wasps remained and surrounded you, but your automatic sand defense easily blocked their stings and swatted them away.
You used Dance of the Cutting Sand on Ichizo, trying to cut him down with the blades. He jumped backwards, skillfully avoiding the swords but eventually he was surrounded by them! With a mental command, the ten blades impaled Ichizo, whose body suddenly exploded into wasps!
"A clone?" you said to yourself, looking around for Ichizo. You heard footsteps behind you, turning your head you saw Ichizo rushing at you, his entire arm crackling with lightning!
"Lightning Release: Great Electric Fist!" Ichizo shouted, throwing his hand forward. Your defensive sand rose upwards, caving inward from the piercing properties of the lightning chakra, but otherwise holding strong. You trapped Ichizo's arm with sand and sent the sand swords at him once more, however he growled and a thin dome of lightning erupted from his body, passing through your defenses and shocking you. It wasn't more than a brief flash of pain, but it gave Ichizo enough time to free himself from your sand and body flicker away from the swords.
"Of course Jinchuriki scum like you would be a pain in the ass to kill!" Ichizo growled. He bit down on his lower lip, biting out a small chunk of flesh so he could use more blood for summoning jutsu! You had the swords float around you for extra defense as Ichizo made more hand seals, clapping his hands and another large smokescreen surrounded him. Instead of hundreds of normal sized wasps, what you saw were ten giant wasps, each of them easily as large as a human! Their stingers were thick and about as long as your arm...
"Those insects of yours will meet the same fate!" you cried out, sending your swords at them. However, the giant wasps were surprisingly agile and flew upwards to dodge them! Ichizo made hand seals and shouted out, "Lightning Release: Lightning Blast!"
The wasp user opened his mouth and a large bolt of lightning fired outward! The ten giant wasps were also flying towards you from the air, dodging your blades!
What will you do?

You made hand seals as you jumped backwards. You opened your mouth and unleashed a massive vortex of wind that easily blew away the Lightning Blast into nothingness. The gale grew in power and size, easily ripping apart the large hornets! The wind was closing in on Ichizo who simply ran and jumped off the wall, summoning the queen wasp once again and flying away from danger.
"You insects cannot harm me, and I counter your lightning jutsu! Surrender and your life won't be forfeit!" you shouted to Ichizo.
"Up yours!" Ichizo roared back as he made a hand seal that pressed both of his index and middle fingers together, then positioned them in a cross shape. An explosion of smoke so large appeared, briefly covering the sun. but it rapidly cleared to reveal thousands upon thousands of wasps. The buzzing drone was almost painful to listen too as two Ichizos flew higher into the air, constantly summoning more and more wasps!
"I'm the heir of the Kamizuru clan! The strongest member ever! None of those old fucks can compare to me!" Ichizo bellowed over the roar of the wasps. "Try your fuckin' wind jutsu again! For every thousand you kill, I'll bring two thousand more!"
You could see sweat dripping from Ichizo's face, but he wasn't out of breath at all!
"What a monster! He used Shadow Clones and mass summonings and he only looks mildly strained! His stamina is impressive, but he's just using quantity, he hasn't shown anything that can pierce my defenses. What shall I do...?" you thought.
[] Focus on the original Ichizo! Those clones and wasps will just keep coming if you don't cut off the source!
[] Go into the air and get rid of the clones! Even with a massive stamina pool, nobody can use Shadow Clones forever!
[] Call his bluff! Keep on destroying the wasps and see how far his stamina can go!
[] Turn a large portion of the wall into sand, then send as many bullets of sand as you can make upwards!
