In which out players take control of one of the lost commanders of Starcraft 1.

Good luck.

You'll need it if you want to survive to the sequel.
Character Selection New
OOC: Just a little something I've decided to work on while I'm stuck due to pain, this quest is expected to be hopefully comparatively short but I do hope to make it at enjoyable experience. Per usual if anyone wants to proof-read I'd be happy to accept the help.

Artanis the Executor who played a major roll in the defeat of the Overmind.

Selendis the Executor who helped shepherd the Protoss through their darkest hours after the fall of Auir.

Two legendary figures that would go onto play key rolls in next wars... whom would later work to save life acrosss the galaxy itself.

You are not either of them.

No you are a figure whose name will be lost to history.

.... well that'll be lost if you don't do anything about it.

Who are you?
[ ] Magistrate Dredge: Assigned to govern the world of Mara Sara and quite happy to not be anywhere near the cesspit that is actual Confederate politics.... too bad Confederate politics has decided to bring things to him.
[ ] Cerebrate Typhon: A newly born Cerebrate assigned to protect a chrysalis of purposes unknown to it. Will this initially simple creature be able to escape the doom assigned to it by history? That much is uncertain.
[ ] Cerebrate Spartica: Enslaved and shackled to a new mistress... you know very well what she intends for you after you have served your purpose. Will you just lay down and let her end you like she has so many others.... or will you find some way to free yourself and survive the Queen of Blades wrath?

OOC: If you guys are wondering about the lack of a UED commander... well to be honest I'm saying that for a dedicated Terran Villain quest I might work on in the future.

You frown.

While you do genuinely appreciate not being anywhere near most of your nominal peers and superiors you very much doubt you've been sent to Mara Sara as anything more than a token gesture after what happened to Chau Sara.

Hmp.

You aren't stupid enough to think you can take on an entire 'Protoss' fleet without so much as a single Battecruiser.

So you'll probably end up grabbing Mara Sara's population and running for the hills at some point, likely both from the aliens and from your 'bosses' back on the Core Worlds.

Good thing you've got a pair of aces up your sleeve for just such a moment.

What are they?
[ ] Kel Morian Contacts: You know how to get good equipment for cheap, and of course haveing access to a large catalogue of mercenaries also helps.
[ ] Criminal Contacts: Do not ask why a Confederate officer has contacts with criminals because ypu would not like the answer. Nor the answer about how often it happens.
[ ] Local Governors: You have a lot of 'ins' so to speak with both the leadership and the people of the other 'fringe' Terran Worlds.
[ ] Mad Scientists: Ok… so you know a few guys and gals.
[ ] Buried Bodies: You just so happen to not only know a lot about the Confederacy's shadier dealings you know how to get even more info on em when you're lacking in it.
[ ] Out of the way: You know more than a few very good hideout spots if it comes down to it.

… And of course you'd be a fool to think you could avoid all combat.

Good thing you have your own ways of holding your own in a fight.

You and your trusty-
[ ] Power Armor: You've footslogged it through plenty of fighting over the years. The fact that your armor is actually built to protect you instead of acting as a makeshift prison is a big help on that front as it turns out.
[ ] A Tank: It might be an odd beast in the modern day of the Siege Tank but sometimess a good old tank can be just what the doctor ordered.
[ ] Goliath: A little custom piece of work from back in the Guild Wars, this baby is powerful for it's kind and even includes an improved mapping system. It's shocking how easy it is for Goliath pilots to get lost after all.
[ ] Sniper Rifle: You've kept your… abilities secret from the Confederates successfully for almost your entire life now… but if you've gotta go loud you gotta go loud.

At least for the moment your equipment request went through.

After all the-
[ ] Extra Command Center
[ ] Extra Marine armor
-That you ordered should come in handy.

Edit: Please vote by plan if you can, thank you.

AU Character Sheet: Magistrait Dredge (Psychic) New
Name: John Dredge
Rank: Technically Loyal Confederate Magistrate.
Age: ???

Equipment
-Hazard Suit: Your old combat uniform from the Guild Wars, the fact you managed to acquire the fame you did despite being a trooper with some NBC stuff equipped help get your 'promotion' to magistrate.
-Taxman: Your trusty sniper riles, you outright kill the entire crew of a Siege Tank with one shot from this puppy on multiple occasions.

Psychic Abilities
-Stealth (10+): Your bread and butter ability and the main reason you're so hard to find when you don't want to be found despite not having an actual cloaking device. Than goodness it also lets you disguise the presence of your mind or the Confederates psycho resocalized lunatic Kerrigan would have offed you the moment the two of you met. Heck you probably would have been drafted and made into one of those Ghost freaks if you didn't have this ability.
-Rewind (???): Lets you 'rewind' a handful of small objects to a previews state at will from any position so long as you 'tag' them beforehand. You mostly just use it to get your ammo back after you shoot it. Good thing you deliberately take measures to make sure the number of shells you actually have on hand is obscured at the best of times.

Relationships
-General Edmund Duke: The horrid thing about Duke isn't how bad he is... it's the fact that the man is about as close to a saint as you'll ever get by the standards of ranking Confederate personal. You don't like the many, and don't want to deal with him any more than you have to... but if its between him and literally any other Confederate general you'll go with him.

Magistrate Dredge Pilot New
Name: John Dredge
Rank: Technically Loyal Confederate Magistrate.
Age: ???

Equipment
-Bigfoot: Your custom Goliath and favorite engineering project. This puppy comes with enhanced terrain mapping capability, detection suite, extra powerful servos for jumping up ledges, shock abosrbers allowing it to go back down ledges, the ability to target units on the air or group separately, and of course extra missiles.
-Ironclaw: The cybernetic arm you had implanted back during the guild wars, you use it mostly as a hand but it can turn into its namesake to render any fool that gets in close dead.
