For Chisa Hammerson, life has always been little more than her hometown on the island of Niegenstadt. She has her late father's mechanic's shop, a room, a few friends. By many measures, life was good. But for as long as she could remember, she dreamed of flying away into the sky, exploring and adventuring through the world of the floating islands. Meet a king, defeat some pirates, save a city, maybe even rescue a princess or something. The usual two-Thäler novel business.
But when a ship from out of town turned up in dock and offered her a way to reach every one of those idle dreams - well. Her father had always said that success was found in seeing an opportunity and seizing it with both hands, no matter how unexpected it was. How was she to know of the many twists and turns that would result? Even as the very next day began, that comfortable drudgery of normality had all been cast into utter disarray.
And so the story of the grand adventure across the floating world and the threat that lurks below begins...
