If Yunkai continues to fight that should be no concern of yours. Your city surrendered and peace was made. Right now you are acting like a Rebel Force. Surrender and Disarm and we will see what can be done with Yunkai and Mereen.

1-Land Repair: Major focus will be placed on repairing land from our most recent conquests to show the people there than Volantis will not allow them to suffer and also open them to the influx of Volanteen goods again and open the door to military growth. These lands will receive gifts to show our good will and will be opened to wine creation.

2-Siege Warfare: We will begin work on constructing siege engines and training siege crews for both land and naval based sieges.

3-Expansion: We will focus on using diplomacy and show of force to expand our realm. Our primary goal is to secure the Orange Coast and block Lys from the mainland. Efforts will also be put toward securing the Rhoyne River to the north.

Internal Events:

Between Natural Growth and Conquest, New Ghis now has 4 Legions, thanks to trade deals with Sarnor, it also has access to Horses. New Ghis will begin Cavalry Training for 3 of the Legions using a Turmae of 300 Cavalrymen Per Legion. This will Leave 178 troops marked for Cavalry to practice at only half strength, but such is the Nature of the Military. Drills for both Cavalry and Infantry will commence to ensure that the rust does not set in during peacetime. Cavalry Trainers from Hazdahn Mo and Sarnor will be brought in to help train the new cavalry. (Major Action 1 @Ceslas)

At the same time as the Army drilling, the Navy will be on patrol, patrolling the Ghiscari Link of the Great Central Essos Trade Route in order to Better Ensure things go to plan (OOC: Major Action 2 @Ceslas)


Financial Commitments to both Qarth for Loan Repayments, and Astapor to build up our client are to be paid, with the Latter having Engineers from the Legion to aid in maintaining and building aqueducts and other public works. Part of the funding is to come out of the Astapori Treasury. Our Oligarchs are to have their lands and holdings reconstructed with priority, though any Masters who wish to have their lands bumped up in priority should help the new administration to get that.(OOC: Major Action 3 @Ceslas)

Continued Growth this year due to Mereen's need for Steel from Ghaen and the plantation trade with Volantis and Qarth.

New Ghis is a vital link in the Great Central Essos Trade Route, Trading metals, Spices, Sea Silk, Sugar, Slaves, and Fish for Silks, Silver, and more.

Military:

The Iron Legions of New Ghis are a descendant of the Lockstep Legions of Old Ghis. The I and II Legions have been drilled into an elite fighting force and the I blooded against bandits and Astapor.

Each Legion is comprised of 10 Centuries of 600 men, in turn comprised of 6 cohorts of 100 men. The Legions are formed up in cohorts in checkerboard formation, allowing greater mobility and ability to shift into other formations such as Wedge or Block. Each Legion has approximately 4,800 Heavy Infantry Legionaries and 1,200 Light Troops.

Legionaries are armed in mail with helms, bracers, and greaves large Scutum Shields, a hasta spear, short stabbing sword, and Javelin, which they throw before making contact.

Light troops are armed in boiled leather over padded jacks with helms, small round shields, javelins and short stabbing swords. They skirmish and scout and in battle prevent the flanks from being overrun.

Cavalry Troops are armored in mail with helms, bracers, greaves, and carry a round shield, lance, and spatha.

2. The army can only be expanded by a 1,000 men. More land is needed.

Fall of Yunkai
In the end, the pride of Meereen demanded that Yunkai be destroyed. Despite their dependence on their allies they had insisted on imposing conditions so harsh no state could accept them. New Ghis ultimately decided to back their overzealous allies and soon the city was surrounded by land and sea. Ultimately the gates would open and the combined Astapori and Yunkish force would charge out to its own annihilation bringing the siege to an end as the Masters surrendered on the condition they could flee to New Ghis. Many in Meereen, while pleased with the ultimate success of the war, were disgruntled with their leaders. The people of Meereen and been freed and then slaughtered in a war for the pride fo their supposed liberators. discontent was brewing, especially with rumors from the Principate that they had no further need for Meereen...
