So I just noticed that mommy dearest might have just tried to give us a Name(you know like Silver Hand). Can we reject that by giving ourselves something Grander like Izanagi or if that is too much some significant Shinto Forge God?

I'm pretty sure everyone else using a gun will give us plenty of fire power, especially since we'll be leading a crowd of gun toting rioters at some point. Having a sword that can disable doors and such is better balanced.
I get the distinct impression that this guy is from out of town. Fact of the matter is that there's actually a pretty solid unwritten rule that should prevent Arasaka, or any corp really, from moving against Atlantis, at least unilaterally.
Doing so would be a matter of both significant annoyance and significant concern for just about every other corp in Night City. Annoyance because their access to mercenaries has been restricted. Concern because Arasaka, a rival corp not exactly known for being nice and cuddly to its rivals, just made accessing mercs on the fly a whole hell of a lot more difficult.

Nothing else at this point in the timeline can stand up to gunfire the way Senji's armor can though, and there all mercs whose weapons are top of the line if you exclude Senji's guns. There isn't going to be much outside the ability to damage, and it's not going to remain so once Senji weakens it with his sword.
I feel like people are forgetting how bad we are at combat.

The sheath has a diamond pattern of gray with white on the edges of the diamond patterns and can be used as a secondary blocking and blunt weapon if need be while being quite durable.

Nope. Not unless your talking adam smasher. This is 2014 in the timeline, and Senji has something closer to 2077 Maxtec Armor in portable suitcase form.
Also, like, senji is inexperienced but a natural. this is the third engagement he's come out of unharmed.

Osaka, so yes he is clearly from out of town. so is mom, she does not know how Night city operates.
... Just because currently our armor is god tier, does not mean it will stay that way.
Esspcially when mom decides to stop fucking with RND and allows them to do their job.
Which can lead to lots of crazy shit happening.
We just had the QM tell us earlier that our armor has limits and it's invincible.
They specifically mentioned the tower as having stuff that can threaten us in it.

Incorrect according to these passages. We do know how to use a sword and quite well it seems as the suit seems to enhance our skills to a level where we can actually apply those skills in a gunfight.
Maybe, but I doubt it. Anime in this universe is likely heavily censored and restricted.

Yeah, if they succeed three times against us and the others. I like our odds. I don't see some high calibur rifle carried into indoor combat as a boon. It's not like rifles of that sort are good for urban corner combat.

It's invincible right now, as there is nothing to counter. in the future it will not be so powerful and it can be beaten.
It can get better with modification, but right now it would have to take the heaviest weapons in the world to damage it.
After all weapons from say, 2077, would tear us to shreds, rather then the stuff in 2014.
Our boy sails the high seas... currently.
he has training, and skills with the blade, but again, the armor is compensating... and making it easier.
