There is no way we have the parts for this. The reactor needed to power it alone would use all our legendary parts and then some, assuming this is even the kind of thing we can power without fitting it into a power armor. Any version we make now would be grossly inefficient.

Senji needs to talk to Kenji, check in on his followers and get a taste for freedom. We spent two turns in a row on Malcolm and Stella. There fine for a turn.

Making an armor because it makes sense with current mindset.

Seriously, whatever laser we make now is going to be a really cool for showing off but otherwise impractical crap shot . As in it probably fires a single shot and then takes 5 minutes to recharge.

I am actually going to veto that laser because we do not even have the tech to make that.

the creation of the laser we made in the pervious update was a stroke of luck and a miracle that it worked and didn't kill us.

Shit. I'd still argue that our experience with the improvised laser weapon proves that they're possible. So we should do research into the field so we can make it for real ASAP.

Honestly that Nat 20 should allow us a bit of a leg up when it comes to researching laser weaponry when the opportunity arises. Especially since we'd clearly keep the miracle laser weapon for study.

Seriously, though. We should at very least be able to set up a research lab at the warehouse as a prerequisite of researching tech.

We don't need an assault rifle. Only Stella isn't armed at this point. An Armor makes much more sense given Senji's mindset, as does speaking to Kenji and seeking some freedom in exploring the city to blow off some steam.
 
I've warmed up to the idea of making a sword. If we ever do so we should create a katana inscribed with "BB-39 USS Arizona". So basically a sword in honour of a ship destroyed by Japan's dishonourable sneak attack.

I'm choosing Senji's Gamble over Power Struggle for a few reasons. First, I really would like to get our hands on some rare cyberware so we can start exploring making our own/tinkering. Second I think our future efforts are really going to focus on the warehouse. Third, if our techie guy gets canned we can pick him up to help build stuff in our new warehouse.

Also @Magoose , when you say that going to a Night Market is a free action, what does that mean? Like it doesn't count against the number of actions we can take?

I don't think our future efforts will focus on the warehouse, which will never be as secure as the apartment. Like, it ending up under new management is pretty bad, given we just did a bunch of off the books work to get more power yield for our workshop. There will be other chances at prototype cyberware, but if the Apartment is compromised, we could lose a workshop action, cutting our forge economy in half.

The way I see it, the warehouse is for mass production, and the apartment is for masterwork designs. I doubt we're going to get anywhere even close to how secure the apartment is, but yes, the warehouse has space for assembly lines.

Both still need to be upgraded. The warehouse for security, and the apartment for better gear production.
 
I think we're going to reach the point where our designs are high tech enough that we can't realistically fit the machines/tools to make them in our apartment. We're going to need a dedicated workshop at some point that isn't our apartment. Though maybe not it the warehouse.
