The Architect of Anarchy: A Cyberpunk Crafting Quest

The earlier the start the more we can change. Ex. Adam Smasher hasn't even chromed out yet, we could go see Samuria live, Max Tax was just founded, the first AI was just made, WE STILL HAVE THE NET we should 100% try and save as much as we can, Alt is still alive, the Mob just lost, and the crystal palace just completed. What a time.
hasn't been fully chromed out, I just want to point out the Adam Smasher will always be a borged out motherfucker who decides that things will be a huge fucking problem to worry about.

And if he is sent after you, you better pray that Morgan or Johnny take a likeing to you, because otherwise you are fucked.

Now as for the other things that you have brought up: I'm using more 2077 timeline rather then the original Red Books for Samurai, which means that after 2009, they are really on and off against, getting together for gigs and tours every now and then just for old times sake, but really going their separate ways because Johnny can't stop fighting the Corporations and being a solo act, Kerry can't win Johnny's heart and became a successful solo gig, Nancy going to prison and became a media, Denny can't stop Henry from his antics, and Henry trying to rebuild his mind after his accident and failing to do so, dragging Denny around because she always feels responsible for him.

MAx Tac... oh boy, that is a can of worms that I want to explore if we decide to arm them. Because oh boy...

You cannot save the net, just want to point that Bartmose blowing up the net is a canon event, that you cannot stop. Because you are not a net runner.

You can save chunks of it but... I will not comment as to how. Use your imagination.

And Alt...

Oh boy Alt Cunningham... that kind of shit you need to commit to. which can lock you out of other things that I really want to show.

Also, that requires getting Johnny to not suffer the mother of all burnouts.

Yes I consider his abrasive personality from his drunken escapades... and just being a burnt out that he was a failure.
Yep we can change much and we can just secure life extensions to live longer. plus with Magoose dice this offers the best opportunity to improve Cyberpunk settings.
You can't make the cyberpunk world a better place.

This isn't a world that can be saved. But you can save yourself... and by saving yourself... maybe you can save others.

something to chew on.
While I know there's interest in 2070's, I think going early is a better plan. We get to be in the Thick of things, and we also get a bunch of experimental shenanigans that are phased out due to being unsafe and the like. More then that though, 2070's Arasaka is a solved problem. You can sit on your ass and it'll collapse within the decade. Going earlier though? That makes things interesting, as we can out chrome Adam Smasher and be a proper legend in our own right- one to inspire kids to live for a dream, rather then die for it.
Something to note, Chroming up is something that I will make negatively effect you if you decide to fuck around without thinking of the consequences. After all, humanity is incredibly important in the setting, and I will be making sure you pay for playing fast and loose with it.
I don't see the option to seduce Gloria Martinez, so let's become real legends instead.
You're a teenager who is a god damn loaded with your parents money. Gloria is a working mom with a punk kid.

Also, she would be dead if you start in 2074.

So... yeah.

[X] 2073: Another Year of Apathy

I like the possibility of being David's school mate and helping him but I want some time to set up shop before hand. We both go to Arasaka academy so we could see him in the halls.

Hard blocks. Destroy the direct connections and detonate a radio noise bomb to overwhelm their signals so they can't connect wirelessly.
Hear me out. We go analog. Crystal wafers/metal sheets (totally not DVDs) laser engraved in .00002 font then use a combination scanner/microscope to be inserted into our own private players using as much old tech as we can get our hands on. How is a demon/netrunner going to hack a bunch of 90s desktops that don't even have the web? You cant hack a brick.

Edit: It would be hilarious. One of the perks of starting so early would be that we would get to know about the culture of the 90s and early 2000s. Also, we should try and save as many movies and as much music as possible. Nostalgia will be worth a fortune to the rich who remember a "better time."

Umm. That secures our stuff, sure.

It's not quite saving chunks of the net, and the whole point of quest is too innovate and build, with lonely rich kid in particular giving us quality parts and material for our creation.

Now that sounds like a grand goal for us to have!

2077: *Lofi Metallica Beats to Study and Relax to starts playing*
Johnny Silverhand's Ghost: What. The. Fuck.

To quote (badly) one of most favorite movies:

There are 500 million firearms in global circulation today. That's one gun for every 12 people.

So that leaves one question:

How do we arm the other 11?

Yes lord of war is a great film.
Though I do wonder just how far you'll allow us to push when we are tinkering?
Is custom powered armor something we can do given it's not supplanted by full borgs until the last corporate war before 2077 (I think?)
Can we make chem rails like Elysium has?
Buncha questions around all that honestly.

Let just say that for armor and power armor Esspecially…

You need lots of rare components.
