The Architect of Anarchy: A Cyberpunk Crafting Quest

So whatcha want to make next? Should we make a shotgun or should we go straight to an assault rifle?I kinda want to go for a "Made in the USA" copy of the classic AK. Even after 66 years it's still the most reliable assault rifle ever made.

Is it wrong from my American sensibilities that we haven't tried to make a new weapon that will make the Ak and the m16 and m4 obsolete and fucking broken by comparison by the sheer craftsmanship we can have on display with new modern technology of the story?

No it's just me?

Practically? Some armor for Kenji or a weapon more subtle/more accurate then a trench broom.

We can only make five guns a turn max. If we want something for mass produced perfection we have to actually get the capabilities to mass produce.

And preferably get to the point of renown where the big boys can't immediately claim they invented our gun and everyone believes them.

Yeah about that chance to upgrade the work shop and make guns out of your kitchen and into an industrial setting and mass production.

Yeah… that is going to be a small problem because… once again… that would require going against Arasaka and putting your name out there against a lot of people who might decide they want you to work for them rather then yourself.

But don't worry I have a way for you to do so much more and finally get things going… in a turn or two.

But what you really need?

Capital. You can't squat in a factory to build guns. You need to pay the city it's silver. And patent your shit…

Speaking of that I need to add that.

That's not really something we need to worry at the moment I think? The main thing blocking the corpos from claiming our guns as their own is that it'll very quickly run into the problem of them not being able to replicate them. As seen with Arasaka, they're struggling with the Angel Wing knock-offs.

To bad he decided that weapons and armor was his great muse rather then say… trying to make cheaper space travel.

Cause with his prowess he might be able to revolutionize anything he sets his mind to.
then he could do things like :

1) a fission or fusion reactor

2)Find out what causes cyberpsychosis and how to treat it

3)A better way to store information

4)some technology to restore areas affected by radiation

5)a better way to produce healthy food

I wonder if Raven Microcybernetics has already invented/created the Gemini full-body conversions
They have actually in 2014 but they are… so expensive that no one can buy them. And there is the problem of cyber psychos

They are more struggling thanks to their corporate culture and incompetence of their leadership. Not from the boots trying to replicate it.
I Don't think that really exists anymore.
They do kinda.

It's enforced by corps rather then governments at the moment

Yeah but that is for his future underlings.

And people who follow the ways of uncle ted because rampant eco terorism will be a thing that be happening right now.

And unlike the eco terrorism of today… where it is annoying…

The eco terror of cyberpunk will be incredibly armed and incredibly dangerous.

So a bunch of backstabbing and "not quite sabotaging*" at the top. Then you have some middle manager having to gather a cobbled together team at the last minute with less resources then they actually need and with limited time constraints while other middle management types try to backstab and "not quite sabotage" them. Then said cobbled together team (which may or may not have any firearms experts) have to try and learn how to make our gun and through a comedy of errors, poor rolls and more "not quite sabotage" begin to fail. This leads to many of the smart ones doing whatever they can to jump ship to other projects before they fail completely leading to a brain drain on the team. And once everything's utterly screwed whoever's still on the project finishes off by playing a rousting game of find the scapegoat.

*Is it really sabotage if you don't get in trouble for it?

So considering how much mats we got I say we should definitely build 3 uncommon armors (for the team), 1 rare Killer Angel (for Stella, or switch with ours if better). As for the fifth I'm feeling 1 rare or uncommon Killer Angel to have on hand if we need one.

As for mass production versions of our stuff I don't think it's that important right now, better to have our name associated with preem stuff. Not that I would be opposed to it, just don't think we need to rush it to much.
