The Architect of Anarchy: A Cyberpunk Crafting Quest

Wonder what kind of net running gear we could make? What would even be useful for Stella?
There is my idea that I call the Reduvius Needle.

A hollow needle meant to pierce and connect with computers or cyberware directly, bypassing ICE systems by establishing a new direct connection that isn't as protected. We will probably need help for the programming bits but it should work.

Speaking of help, @Magoose could we work with other characters when it comes to creating something? Like asking Stella for help with coding.

Yes but that requires beating their questline and keeping them alive.

Both of which will require some awesomeness on your part and development for weapons and armor to keep them alive.

I have been thinking what to do with all of our common parts. We also know that those construction workers that worked on the school need guns.

Let's make a machine Gun that shoots the 9mm pistol ammo. Call it the "Soda Pop" machine gun. Easy to carry/small and it has a lot of bullets since ammo size. Also there will be a large group of them to make it effective. It might look like those old soda glass bottles.

Also we should go into shotguns. Maybe a Meet with Vic so he has a safety gun too.

I bet we have only so much storage space for all of our parts. Let's use up the easy stuff as we build up our depleted supply.

Not knock offs, but rather common varieties of our legendary guns. It should be a good source of eddies and help get our name out there.
It would quickly grab our parents attention if they see killer angels knock offs all over the place. Also means that the Corp will go after our customers to be able to replicate it. They just need a good dice role to copy crappie guns.

Edit:
Besides, we can make some legend about not making the same gun twice for the good stuff.

Honestly if we'd be making guns to protect construction workers I'd design a cheap but effective SMG design akin to the Grease Gun or Sten gun of WWII. I do like the idea of soda-themed decoration for the sake of aesthetic.

@Crafter of War we will still have a lot of material to use up.
Yes, but common materials is used in a lot of stuff. Going for that +2 in all stats? It's going to cost 400 CM. Wiping out what we just earned from one of the jobs. Some of the attachments can also cost CM. Making ammunition for our guns? CM. We can even convert CM to UCM.
[]Upgrading components: You will modify and make the components better.
-[]What components would you like to upgrade
--[]How many (Every component costs 2 to upgrade 1 tier of component better. Can only get up to Rare as you don't have the equipment for upgrading them to that.)
I will admit though that the wording on upgrading material is very confusing. Does it coat 2 CM to make 1 UCM? Or does it take 3 total? (2 CM to convert 1 CM into 1 UCM).

Alright then, we can just use uncommon then. I still say we stick with my Soda Pop idea but with uncommon parts. Hmm, maybe start making armor to sell too.

We get Eddie for the two jobs we do right?

We will need a diffrent place to set that stuff up. I doubt our home is okay to do it in our where our parents could spy on us.

First things first; dear ol' dad needs to leave. Then we need to scout out a cheap, easily concealed, and easily fortified property we can pay eddies for to keep off of our parents' radar. Then we can build a workshop and small assembly line. We don't need to make many guns. Being able to pump out five-gun "runs" without having to dedicate an action would be enough at this point in our career.

If we want a shotgun we could always take inspiration from the classic Winchester 1887.

When it comes to rifles I'm torn between a lever-action inspired by the Civil War Era Henry repeater or an assault rifle inspired by either the AK or the AK's inspiration the Sturmgewehr.

Heck, why do we need to choose? We could design one rifle to be a highly accurate marksman rifle and one rifle to be our assault rifle.

We don't need our guns to base off of anything. We just need it for it quality and/or quirks. Like my Soda Pop gun idea. Besides, we are making new stuff. We can honor old guns once in a while. We still have to dabble in cyberpunk tech yet.

Also I am trying to think of common caliber for normal street use.

Ps. The Punt Gun is basically a cannon.

I figured you weren't serious about the punt gun when my research found a hunting rifle so big it had to be mounted on a small boat.

I know. I just like emulating the aesthetics of old weapons for the "cool factor".

A shotgun capable of blowing away even an armoured thug would be very useful.

Can we repair the keys cards next turn because it would be a shame to leave them in the dust.
That will come soon.

As for how to get a new workshop…

That is going to be difficult.

Mostly because Night City is about to have…

Issues.

Aka, alt is about to get kidnapped and Johnny is going to start a riot that will tear the city apart. And that will kick off all sorts of shit that will lead to bad things happening.

AI Altcunningham: You're alright Senji. Tell your dad not to go into Arasaka tower tomorrow or don't, I don't really care.
Senji: Wait, what is that supposed to mean?
AI Altcunningham: Don't worry about it. AI Cunningham out.
---- Six months later ----
Senji's Dad: Wow, I sure lucked out getting trapped in that elevator and being promoted solely due to being the highest-ranking Arasaka employee still alive in Night City.

So get a rocket launcher and lock our doors? That actually explains why our dad is in town. He is connect to the first attempt of the kidnapping. Also lets hope that things wont go too bad for us. We are going to need to be ready for the chaos to start. Lets hope things don't end to quick for the rocker boy.
