Engravings:
-[X] Highlighting faux flaws and cracks sort of like a shattered window.
Lighting:
-[X] Standard flashlight attachment
-[X] Recoil Management: 10,000 (cost 100 standard material) (Increases final quality by +2)
-[X] Accuracy: 1000 (cost 10 standard material) (Increases final quality by +1)
-[X] Reliability: 10,000 (cost 100 standard material) (Increases final quality by +2)

I do think most plans are over-investing in accuracy, the Tommy gun is the ultimate spray n' pray, accuracy is not in the picture. Far more important to me that it never, ever jams.

We don't have enough standard material for this plan IIRC.

Fair point I didn't think of that I was focusing more on the stopping power needed to take down someone with the corpo cybernetics Kenji might be facing. Imma redistribute some things on my plan.

Same here. I figured that the additional length from the barrel would be primarily used to offset the hip-firing that will be the most common method for cover and suppressive fire.

[X]Plan: Silent operator
-
[X]Rare
-[X] Short Barrel (5-7 inches)
-[X].45 ACP (The Lords Caliber)
-[X]Recoil Mitigation System – Improves control for sustained fire, reducing spread.
-[X]Compact Mag (15-20 Rounds): Lightweight and easy to reload. Ideal for fast, agile combat but requires frequent reloads.
-[X]Thermal Optic Scope – A specialized scope that highlights heat signatures, allowing you to see enemies through smoke or in total darkness. (Cost: 2 uncommon Materials)
-[X]integrated Silencer – Reduces the weapon's noise signature by dampening escaping gases, making it harder for enemies to detect your shots. (Cost: 1 Standard Material)
Finish:
-[X] Midnight blue
Engravings:
-[X] Suitable Fallen Angel Wings engraved.
-[X]Recoil: 1000 (cost 10 standard material) (Increases final quality by +1)
-[X]Accuracy: 1000 (cost 10 standard material) (Increases final quality by +1)
-[X]Reliability: 1000(cost 10 standard material) (Increases final quality by +1)

Compact, low profile, subsonic (and for Silent operator silenced).

[X]Plan: Not Full Fuck You
-[X]Rare
-[X] Barrel Covered with a Rail System
-[X].45 ACP (The Lords Caliber)
-[X]Recoil Mitigation System – Improves control for sustained fire, reducing spread.
-[X]Extended Mag (40-50 Rounds): Holds more ammo, great for sustained engagements, but adds noticeable weight and bulk.
-[X]Thermal Optic Scope – A specialized scope that highlights heat signatures, allowing you to see enemies through smoke or in total darkness. (Cost: 2 uncommon Materials)

My counter to Plan: I Cast Fuck You 2.0.
Barrel Covered with a Rail System - Can mount foregrips for recoil control while not being cumbersome as long, more versatile
.45 ACP - Subsonic (less noise)
Extended Mag - Less bulky
90 less standard material

The only thing I would want to change is having it in .454 Casull if that was allowed.

Edit: Mainly for this reason:

CaliberTypeVelocity
(fps)
Energy
(ft-lb)
.45 Auto ACPHandgun940400
.454 CasullHandgun16001700

.454 Casull wouldn't be my choice for a non-revolver. I'll instead point you in the direction of the .460 Rowland. I'd love to create a .454 marksmen revolver like the bastard offspring of a French MR 73 GIGN and Mateba Autorevolver.

-[X] .357 Magnum
you do realise that the .357 Magnum round is a rimmed round meant for revolvers and manual-action rifles such as lever-action hunting weapons, right? Meaning if it's used in an automatic weapon it will have an absolutely horrific jam rate? Also the.357 Magnum round is also twice as long as the .45 ACP, making a drum magazine much bulkier than the original Thompson's drum mag?

Are you deliberately trying to build a gun bulkier than an assault rifle which will jam and fuck up at every opportunity?

The QM allowed for 357, if anything direct your criticism at him instead.

[X]Plan: Night City Printer
-[X] Rare Components
-[X] Long Barrel (10-14 inches)
-[X].45 ACP (The Lords Caliber)
-[X]Heat-Resistant Components – Prevents overheating during extended bursts of fire.
-[X]Drum Mag (60-100 Rounds)
-[X]Underbarrel Laser Sight
-[X] Parkerizing
-[X] Thin lines that have small dots to mimic the sheet music for the Goodfellas Intro and pay homage to the 1920s gangster who used the original Thompson
-[X] Standard flashlight attachment
-[X]Compensator
-[X]Recoil: 10,000 (cost 100 standard material) (Increases final quality by +2)
-[X]Accuracy: 1000 (cost 10 standard material) (Increases final quality by +1)

Fun Fact: .45 ACP is the Thompson's calibre of ammunition.

Just because the QM allows an option doesn't mean it has to be a good option - plenty of quests on SB and SV have included bad options and trap options, and while I don't know if Magoose will include such options the responsibility for choice is on the players, not the QM. That's why there is voting in these quests - the choice is up to the players, and there's nothing to say that all choices are right. I mean we're building a SMG for Kenji to use in wetwork and strikes against Arasaka, and most people are option for something huge and bulky rather than something usable and discreet

[X]Plan: Silent operator
