Murder powers are dime a dozen. Sensory and utility abilities are golden and magnificent power multipliers, and are very good for hunting down further prey. It might even help with just learning shinigami techniques by virtue of being able to observe reishi rather than being... like Ichigo. Who needs to be hit in the eyes with a spiritual two-by-four before he notices.
If it can result in even one extra kill before Byakuya happens, it will have paid for itself.

We are clearly strange, so senses make sense, in order to investigate ourselves. Also, check Ichigo and others out, maybe detect their powers? If we notice Inoue's latent powers, and maybe train her up a bit early, she could reject Sora's hollow form? Unless this was that episode.
Also, we learned that shinigami have captains. That might be important later - we need to pump Ichigo for information. And, yeah, I am starting to like the idea of eating our zanpakuto more and more.

If the stabbing order was reversed (ie Ichigo run through and Tatsuki nicked), I would have guessed that we got Ichigo's bizzaredness. Right now... I don't know, maybe part of our soul got out, and we are sorta-kinda proto Yhwach?

The weirdest part of Tatsuki's power to me right now is the fact that the ability in question (right now strength) manifests as clothing. super weird.
I mean, unless tatsuki is distantly related to the royal court guard lady and the combination of rukias powers and the imminent hollow danger caused something to awaken.

So a thought... if taking the perception ability from this hollow nets tatsuki a "Hollow Sight/sense" etc skill would that mean her primary form of spiritual perception would be through the lens of a hollow? Wonder how that would color her experiences...
