Mechanic Unlock: Spark of Inspiration
When you do sciencey stuff, (say, attend robotics class, or make a breakthrough in research) you'll gain Sparks. These can be burned in combat, to push your machines past their limits, or during training, to hasten breakthroughs. (Note: You get no Sparks for a breakthrough obtained with Sparks, for obvious reasons.)
"Well that's just swell!" Clippy says. "We could always use more big brains around here! How would you best describe your robotic creations?"
[] Large (Combat Class). Big and slow, with dakka out the ass. Maintaining more than one is impossible at this point, even for you. Because of its complexity, it must be piloted from inside
[] Human-sized (Balance Class). A fully operational battle suit. A jack of all trades creation, but you can maintain two or so for added versatility. Can be piloted remotely or from inside.
[] Small (Support Class). They only come up to your knees, but these half –dozen or so platforms are capable of powerful battlefield control measures and boosting your allies' effectiveness. Must be piloted remotely.
[] Tiny (Hinderance Class). Only the size of insects, and yet together they form a powerful swarm. Scout, analyze, and strip your enemies of their defenses, one by one. Must be piloted remotely.
"Awesome possum! Now please hold still, I am currently scanning you so that I may enter your physical information into the school databanks!"
You have 30 stat points to allocate between your three base statistics (the numbers below do not count towards the 30 points). As a Genius, you have received a +15 bonus to Intelligence and a -5 to both Athleticism and Charm (these bonuses have been factored in below).
Athleticism: 5
Charm: 5
Intelligence: 25
Clippy beams at you, although he has no mouth. "Wonderful! Now, I am using high level psychic abilities to probe your mind so that I may submit a report to the school psychologist. This will hurt a lot, so be careful not to bite your tongue off!"
Holy shit, Clippy is right. You can feel his malevolent presence worm its way into your thoughts, peering at your very being! How does he describe you to the school psychologist?
[] Hot Blooded. Nothing will extinguish the fires of your heart!
[] Nice. You make everyone around you feel at ease.
[] Woobie. Awe, what kind of trauma are you hiding behind that adorable face?
[] Aloof. You're too cool for school. Not literally though, or you wouldn't be here.
[] Angry. Everybody needs to get out of your face, right fucking now!
[] Bro. That party was sick wicked bro! Sicked!
[] Everywoman. THIS IS ALL SO FUCKED UP.
Your personality can change over time, depending on voting, but all choices will get one IC vote.
Oh no! Clippy has partially subverted his shoddy programming and prying into your thoughts! He's looking at your childhood right now! What does he see?
[] Princess. You're the daughter of the King of Technacia. You grew up swaddled in wealth and luxury, and Prime High was expected of you.
[] Middle Class. Your parents were good but unremarkable people. Prime High is your chance to shine!
[] Orphan. YOUR PARENTS ARE DEAD. Your childhood was naught but pain and misery. Prime High is your only chance to escape the slums of Technacia.
"What an exciting life you've led!" Clippy says as he stops invading your privacy at a fundamental level. "Congratulations
Yoshida Reina! You are now a full-fledged student here at Prime High! I hope you enjoy your time here, or at least survive it!"
Clippy vanishes, and you notice that you're suddenly clothed in a well fitting Prime High Uniform, which looks pretty standard as far as anime school uniforms go.
You feel the familiar tug of the transteleportinator as you're transteleportinated to the freshman dorms. As you reappear inside your new home for the next few months, you wonder how you're going to survive…nay,
excel at Prime High. Luckily, you have someone here to help you out.
Who's here to help you out? Your…
[] Childhood friend. Shizuka Haruto has been your best friend for years, and is coincidentally in your class. With him, you gain a loyal ally who will see you through all hardships.
[] Older Sister. Yoshida Ayame is a junior, two years older than you and already established at Prime High. She might not always have time for you, but she's leagues above you, power-wise.
[] Rival. Almost as genius as you, Ueno Yui transformed herself into Cyborg in an attempt to surpass you. You're not sure how you feel about that, but Yui does always push you to be your best.
[] Teacher. Nakahara Yamato is an old family friend who graduated Prime High a few years ago. He took a teaching position, and has promised to lend you a helping hand if you need it.
