Super Robot Wars CS, A Quest

Put simply, the whole gay sex thing is more or less a joke among the fandom.

Amuro and Char fucking hate each other...though with the right circumstances they might be allies. Too bad those circumstances almost never come about.

I mean it's both a joke and 100% serious. I absolutely believe Char and Amuro boned at some point in Zeta, and CCA is in some ways the galaxy's worst breakup.

The story of Char and Amuro ends with their souls fusing together into some phallic Newtype Force Ghost amalgamation. I'm not entirely sure what Newtype mind melding feels like but considering everytime it happens it ends up with a bunch of naked people crying, there's a non-zero chance it's just space sex.

(Also Lalah's there too)

I've never seen two men have such loving homosexual sex.

Your really attached to something that never happened but you do you man. Their is a Deikun that Amuro actually likes that is available if you want him together with one that I think he would prefer.

I would ask both when you think that could happen and two why you want to exclude Sayla from Amuro's life when she was supposed to have a bigger role in Char's Counterattack originally. I very much more certain some stuff happened between her and Amuro then him and her crazy brother.

Of course I open up a SRW quest to put on my normal SRW clown nose, and I find the discussion in place to put on my Charmuro clown nose.

Anyway the whole point of Gundam's emotional arcs is that being someone's rival/enemy is just as deep of an emotional connection as love, and it doesn't necessarily have to be hate, either.

Also there is no explanation for Char other than "bisexual man with no idea what a healthy emotional relationship is."

Anyway, Amuro's going to win, but I'm going to rep

[X] - Sosuke Sagara

on principle. Imagine this dipshit going to Thors.

Honestly though, the fact that I'm pretty sure Rean and Crow's whole deal is a deliberate homage to Amuro and Char in the first place makes me like this idea though.

I don't know who those two are but if that's true...

Amuro and Char: Good God, it's weird looking at this from the outside.

"it's true you were a very good friend to me"
"I came here to laugh at you"
"She could have been a mother to me"
Comments made by a man with a good sense of like... how to be around other people.

"I came here to laugh at you" is out of context, at least. There's still no excuse for the "like a mother to me" line even in context, though.

Kinda hope the first post of this quest is Amuro questioning that and Char absolutely refusing to elaborate, tbh.

Holy shit. As we go into the final hours, Amuro's actually only leading by two votes. Ange has a very real shot at winning this.

So one argument for Ange is that her mech is better at dealing with the lack of traditional support since Vilkess has self repair feature while Amuro has to deal with a lack of tech to fix his mech and will need to deal with the fact that any mech that isnt at the Nu-Gundam's level will be unable to keep up with him and be possibly damaged.

I just don't like Ange or Cross Ange in general. So my vote ain't changing.

Plus we could probably overcome any tech limits. The Nu-Gundam is still a Real Robot. Kind of made to be modified based on the pilot's needs.

Just gonna step in as the GM to say no, the Nu is gonna struggle to get proper maintenance. The trails tech base is way too primitive. It's roughly equivalent to Cold War RL, the internet is a cutting edge new invention. Amuro's probably gonna have to drive a spare Panzer Soldat (the trails mechs) for a while.

Edit: especially since this is the Nu at the end of the battle with the Sazabi, where it's shot to shit.

That's still fine. This is Amuro we're talking about. The guy who went up against an MS in a Civilian Vehicle and won.

a very fair choice.

and its kinda hard to replace tech that uses space magic brain tech with a techbase that lacks microchips and is like one generation in the industrial revoulation

That would be the logical counter argument, but I will caution you that the trails universe has no shortage of skilled pilots, some of whom can probably rival Amuro at his best.

[X] - Ange. You've lost everything before. Torn from your life in the lap of luxury as a princess, you suddenly found yourself sent to a prison island for Norma, an underclass who you once thought subhuman. Forced into the fight against fearsome dragons without training or preparation, you had to fight or die. You chose to fight, and you haven't stopped fighting since. Against the dragons, against your old family, against your psychotic comrades, against the creator of the world himself. Piloting your mysterious machine Vilkiss, you're going to survive at all costs. Anyone who gets in your way is going to regret it.

I figure Ange's magitek stuff will probably at least be semi-compatible with either Orbal tech or, at worst, the local super robots the Divine Knights. Nu Gundam only runs on magic space dust metaphorically, so getting it into even a pilotable state is gonna be a story arc in and of itself.

I will say the Nu's gonna have enough left in it for our initial arrival but that's it. It's also almost completely disarmed after fighting Char.

Strangely the bizarro magic 'can do anything' Psychoframe would gel better with Trails level tech than the whole pandora's box of Minovsky Physics. Assuming there's no Helium-3 at least the whole EM Interference aspect of Gundam tech can be more or less ignored. A Minovsky Ultracompact Fusion Reactor isn't a perpetual motion machine like Orbal Tech seems to be, though I believe it can run for arbitrarily long amounts of time without Helium-3. That can't be said for everything else from propellant to ammunition. I'm pretty sure the Nu-Gundam doesn't actually have an on board mega particle cannon, and its rifle is just a plain ol' E-cap rifle so technically the only weapon it has that can possibly function is its beamsaber and Amuro's whole newtype kung-fu thing.
