Sul Sul! (Worm/Sims/Sim City)

Although I love the idea of a Sims power...

I also think Taylor is a little... too calm? Ready to go immediately for car crushing kills?
It's her first actual battle right? Which was scary fast paced at that.
And Kurt and Lacey feel right at home in cape battles?

Not to mention Kaiser is a bit too straightforward.
As are the Undersiders really.

Is Taylor making use of the ever glorious Pause button?
Cause that would make a lot of sense.

I completely forgot about the pause button. Hopefully that isn't nerfed.

1.9 A Red Apple
(Alright I'm finished being pouty.)

"I'll do it."

"Excuse me?" I said, blinking. I had expected tricks, manipulation, lying, political things you know from watching on television. What I hadn't expected was the direct approach.

"I've read over the costs of your power and compared it with estimated costs of labor and material and other things and frankly, you're so much cheaper it's incredible." Mayor Christner explained. "It's really a no brainer."

I beamed. "So can I get started?"

"Well we're going to hire a city planner to work with you, but yes, 'Mayor'," He put a wry tone on my name, meant in jest, and I grinned along. "You're hired."

---

I had gotten a bunch of paperwork that dad would work through and a number for the city planner, but I stopped at my car. There was a note on it that I opened to reveal it was from Kaiser.

'Dear Mayor,

I would like to request your services for a villa I have that's in disrepair. I would pay you accordingly. A starting price of 1,000,000 would be splendid, though you're free to bargain.

Kaiser
'

I almost threw it away in disgust, but the high price kept my eyes glued to it. I could do a lot with a million dollars. The city money wasn't mine as the screen cheerfully warned me it would be considered 'theft' if I took it and there would be 'dire consequences' for me if I did. I didn't like the sound of that as I knew my power had immense hidden depths. It had tempted me constantly as my father was struggling with his finances and we were burdening Kurt and Lacey by living off of them. I was bringing in money, but people were slow to believe me. Mayor Christner could only pay me so much as well. The house wasn't selling at all as not many people wanted to move in to a burnt ruin in Brockton Bay. I wished I could change that without outing myself.

But a million dollars?

I tucked it into my pocket and slid inside my self driving car.

If "mayor" is selling her services now, surely she could "buy" it from her to rebuild their house?
