Stargate Enemy Within

Having slept on it I agree that there's diplomatic value in giving the Abydonians the mine immediately, both in terms of goodwill and in that it'll let us trade help with their new mine for naquadah(?)

On the main vote, I swapped SG-1 to helping medics as noted, since that is both permitted and roundly popular. I still say it's more likely we end up in trouble due to a native Abydonian disease than from 797 spreading uncontrolled, but I guess we'll have to see.

Yeah, I am clearly going to need to go through and make sure that things are clearer in future updates, but as far as Doctor Frasier can tell, the virus has been entirely eradicated from the planet of Abydos, and it never got to Earth, so as long as no one new gets infected when going to 737, then it should be fine.

Narrative rather than mechanical. Not having to only eat MREs and deal with sand seem like they'd have the biggest benefit for morale. Once we finish off the barracks I'd be about making Barr3 a library unless something much juicier happened (we do have a crazy amount of research).

@Lunaryon As far as ideas for overflow having slots for research, engineering, medical could work. I know some other quests do a plan update then a results/flavor vote update.

So when you give the results and the choices for customizing buildings/research paths you'd also give us the option to update our overflow slots. That vote is fairly simple and closes quick and when you open up plan voting you'll know where to put the overflow. Plans could get a bit involved as our personnel go up but on the update side they don't need to call out the overflow vote.

Any unlocks we got as part of our results would also be in time for us to reassign our new overflow choices. You could still do bonuses for overall productivity (~90+ rolls) or add a switching cost (~any progress less than 15 over completion is lost).

These feel like good choices just for basic living necessities.

Been looking for a Stargate game for a while.

We really need to look into the crystals and the alien alloys. The first is literally how we build and design the computer systems needed to handle the far more advanced sciences since they are the computers of the Ancients, Asgard, Goa'uld, and every other advanced race in the galaxy. Those control crystals will allow the study and use of the alien tech better. The latter alien alloy will allow for the creation of better armor materials that actually can stop a plasma bolt from the staff weapons.
