Your career has been marked by loyalty, discipline, and unwavering commitment to duty. When war erupted, your calls for military readiness and strategic foresight proved prophetic, earning you the respect of many within the Senate. Now, with the Republic in crisis, the military and security-minded factions have rallied behind you as the best chance to lead the Republic to victory. But the war will not be won through force of arms alone—can a soldier truly navigate the ruthless world of politics? Pros: Strategic Mind: Your experience in logistics and warfare gives you an edge in managing large-scale operations and military policy. (Military and Security-related legislation gains a +10 bonus to success rolls. In War Planning Turns, you will have bonuses to strategy, and be able to muster far more resources for offensive and defensive engagements. Political power spent for operations are halved.) Public Trust: Your military service has granted you widespread respect among the citizenry, making it easier to rally public support in times of crisis. (When a Disaster Roll is done, or an enemy offensive roll is made, you will get a reroll to prevent the loss of Morale.) Strong Institutional Backing: The Republic's military, intelligence, and security factions back you fully, giving you direct access to elite forces and special forces operations from the get go. (Gain unique actions related to Republic military movements and special forces operations.) Cons: Not a Politician: Your blunt, no-nonsense approach can be seen as inflexible or lacking the finesse needed for delicate Senate negotiations. (Lose -10 on Diplomacy-based rolls during the political power turn.)
