Space Princess

Playing in Space Princesses gave me more joy and entertainment than any amount of money could probably buy. It's only fair.

Also, the "What I Got" isn't even the half of it.

[X] No, actually I would be interested in learning Da Moya

Aren't our older sister better and Gramps warn us off him so its best heed his advice because I can see Duke Feril killing us if this would it takes save his Emperor!
Why rushing to learn under him?

Duke Feril is if nothing else a consummate professional.

Besides, Father is all but telling us what we should be doing here - and we're obedient aren't we?

We would gain a rep working under him, I prefer to steer clear of his dirty doings.
As for father is it now?
Then he would not take the request for no that badly.

A taste of danger
"Yes, I would like to study under Duke Feril", you say in between sipping the cherry fizzy pink drink.

"Good, good, I'll inform Angus to have you start shadowing him starting next week. So tell me about your Grandfather, politics here and also the fact I need a man I can trust out there have come together to keep me from seeing him face to face as much I wanted."

You and your father proceed to the catch up about your grandfather. Ranging from the Emperor telling you of the time he had served out in the outer marches as a young cavalryman last in line for the throne and dealing with a certain hard nose Starforce general trying to keep his royal charge's ego in check, to you discussing about the misadventures he had trying to settle affairs after a certain a calvary cruiser commander did impromptu training exercise during the staging system and mock raided the local baron's estate and took the contents his winery as booty in a drunken night of debauchery.

The Phoenix Emperor is powerful, but he even has to bow to forces of his schedule, and after a hour of catch-up between father and daughter, he has gotten up and gives you a more gentle hug, "Vicky, I'm glad you're at my side finally. Had she lived and things been different, you would of grown up here with her by my side. Stay strong and keep your eyes focus on what you want before you, and don't let any courtier here divert you from that goal or get wrapped in their own plots."

With that bit of advice, he leaves the room, and you're meet with Seil who informs you that the family dinner that the Emperor had scheduled been cancelled, the Empress reported sudden scheduling conflicts, along with several of the other children still on planet. By now its late afternoon, and you are feeling fatigued. You return to quarters for the evening, have dinner brought to you on table of the veranda of your suite of rooms in the palace.

As you sip the after meal tea prepared by Seil, who is ever standing resolute behind you, ready to serve, you sigh contently as this is the first real time you can can relax. Your first day here has been exciting, but before you go to bed you need to double check with Seil about your schedule for the next week, when.

A large explosion can be seen emerging out of the Silver Tower south of your position, the lights of the palace and the beyond grow distorted as the shield generators kick on, but then they grow dim and gutter out as the palace suffers total power loss. As the light dies, you spot powered armored figures scaling the walls of the Silver Tower and then you glance down and spot other figures advancing below you up the spire you're in.

The palace is under attack and you are in the way of the attackers.

Taking a deep breath you do the following
[] Retreat with Seil and head towards one of the safe rooms that Da Moya told you about during the trip around the palace.
[] Retreat with Seil, but then organize a defense, the palace is full of small armories and you just after all commanded people in battle no?
[] Retreat with Seil, but organize a counter attack, the main focus seems to be the Silver Tower
[] Retreat with Seil, and stick the shadows to find our more information

Also you can control the attacker's bonus objectives, each selection make it more difficult for Victoria to operate in, but will give you a fate point per selection. Mind you if you ended up kidnapped, you're probably have to burn alot of them to get out of that sticky situation. So good luck.

[] Assassinate Duke Feril
[] Kidnap Victoria
[] Assassinate the Empress
[] Assassinate the other royals
[] Blow up the Imperial Guard HQ
[] Steal REDACTED

[X] Kidnap Victoria

They're trying to kidnap Victoria but they weren't aware of the schedule changes and think she's in the tower.

Kidnapping Victoria is a lot of risk for very poor return with such an obvious and traceable method as sending companies of gunmen in a public attack. Her personal entourage is small and security is not particularly focused on her defense, a few picked men could grab her with little issue. The events as described would make little sense for this.

Duke Feril is not the lord of a powerful fief, so his murder does not insult the dignity of any great clan and create generations of vengeful enemies. However, his death would throw the Imperial Guard into confusion, even if only for a little while, which would be a boon to any number of powerful people within the Empire and without. He is however suspiscious by the very nature of his profession and well protected, anything less than a suicidal attack by well armed troops would hardly suffice.

Plus, imagine Feril's face when his life was saved by a prepubescent girl.

Really hope Feril dies, don't want to get in front of their attacks.
