Sosuke Aizen’s Quest for Confidence (Bleach AU/Nasuverse/Danmachi/???)

Wow...

Taking a attack (if it even is that) on a fictional character so personally and responding with a personal attack in turn. So big of you.

Anyways you might not have voted for Matou Manor for Save Sakura but others have. I just don't buy that reason and I voiced it.

Is this aimed at me?

...Wow, I've gotten flamed! MY INTERNET RENOWN IS INCREASING!

But I kinda thought my response was rather objective... I mean I gave a rational (if OOC) reason as to why we should help her...

(I am assuming you're talking about me because I voted for the temple, and to free Sakura for one of our time slots)

No it's aimed at Derkan. Sorry if that disappoints.

Probably should have quoted his statement for clarity's sake.

Whelp, there goes my first flame. Not sure if I should be happy or disappointed :p

WHY DO YOU ALL HAVE TO BE (mostly) REASONABLE PEOPLE WHO CAN TALK OUT THEIR PROOOBBLEEEEEEMMS?!?!?!

:lol

I did not take it personally, i just asked if you would use the same argument for a real person, it just amuse me to see people defend their logic Mr "Ho ho ho the only interesting thing about this person is the suffering she's been through".

If that's your intent then there are less confrontational ways of asking.

To answer your question I would not apply the same argument for a real person. Myself or otherwise.

As a matter of fact I am actually able to separate the line between reality and fiction.

There is a factual difference between an person with their experience (however much of it there is), sentience, and sapience (sacrosanct)...and a character in a story (bound to a fixed role by the author).

More so when said character (Sakura) was in her role for said story less of an actualized character and more just a plot device to drive the actions of another character.

Here's a question in return. Would Kirei be "interesting" if he's all endless optimism and sunny disposition with a genuine desire to help people and able to emote normally?

[X] Got money? No, seriously I'm poor and I want to try some food
[X] Ryuudou Temple on Mount Enzou, literally the best place, comes outfitted with a natural Bounded Field against spirits if they don't enter through the entrance. Also, near the Greater Grail and on top of a centre of leylines. The cons is that it's pretty obvious for any competent magus to figure it out, also, it's near where the Tohsaka and Matou's are.
[X] Strategise with Caster, he says we still have two full days until the Grail War begins for real
[X] Ask Solomon to go make some cool stuff with Item Construction, and upgrade your new motorcycle, you know he wants to ride it too

Right, just a few notes.

I'm not the QM for ImprovAizen, I'm clearly not that good or KUBO enough.

When the HG war starts in full, things will be more reactionary as both you and Solomon have issues in taking risks.

Combat stats can rise in combat crits and emergency Shounen training. Most stat rises will occur in timeskips if you don't travel to other worlds and fight.

Reinforcement is essentially Medea's buff on her Master, just better as it bolsters his Reiatsu temporarily. Casted by Solomon not Aizen.

Aizen and Kyoka Suigetsu do have a high sense of self-importance. Most of their more moral decisions originate from their shared sense of being 'above' everyone elses standards. Shinigami duties is merely an excuse to act 'above' what all Shinigami would do when cobfrobted with a situation. Aizen does realise this because it's pretty obvious you would be narcissistic in thinking you can do better than the Zero Squad, Yhwach and the Soul King... not that he bothers too much with it.

They see Soul Society's intended function as necessary for now but believes there is always something better. There is a genuine want to uplift all souls to their potential partially out of altruistic reasons and of the sense of loneliness.

Kyoka Suigetsu's name which originated from a Chinese phrase is one that is derived from 'Striving'. In this case, Striving for something unattainable.

Her Bankai? Another Chinese phrase for 'Striving', this one indicating striving and finishing the impossible goal by not giving up. I will likely be reusing the Bankai name from my other quest that included Aizen's potential Bankai.

[X] Gather more information on the other contestants, including Matou.Tohsaka and the soon to arrive Emiya (DC 105, CRIT 135 vs 1d100 + Wisdom + Reiatsu)

So... they're like narcissistic "Brother knows best" dictators? Start off for the people, but "realize" that the people can't take care of themselves? Can we change that part of their views or is that something we just gotta roll with?

They know full well that it's easy to become like the current rulers ( He thinks it's the shitty monk, Ichibei), the best way is to not get too cocky or have real friends to remind them of the main goal of 'for the people'.

People being weak is Aizen's rationalisation on why the afterlife sucks, if there were more Soul Reapers then law, order, living world patrols etc... will be better.

Also, working everyone to the bone would solve the some issues, most Soul Reapers are kind of... busy with their own things.

So revolutionary visionary that just wants friends (the Nanoha version of course, what did you think this was MLP?) :o

More like, needs friends to not turn out like Canon!Aizen.

He's only nicer now as he wants to be 'above' the flawed approach of Shinigami's, the corrupt and paranoid practices of C46, not a despot as he perceives Ichibei to be? Not a puppet like the Soul King he believes is, not a monster like Yanamoto and Yhwach was/is etc... basically, his guideline is to look at those guys and do things differently.

Hey niklzh, is there a chance that if we rescue Sakura, she might think we are her father but with a different face?

Nope. The Tohsaka goatee is rather distinctive, also, eye colour is different. Unless you want to Kyoka Suigetsu her but I don't see any point yet.

Won't be answering anything for now, have urgent work to be done.

Ok. New plan. We go to places with the absolute worse leaders possible, to act as a guideline on how not to act, then we go to places with the best leaders we can think of to prove that humanity doesn't suck ass, and that totalitarianism is not the way to go.

Suggestions on which worlds to go to after this?

Konosuba gods and royalty are nice examples while displaying a good amount of pragmatism. See Eris proactiveness, King proactiveness and Hero eugenics programme (Princess Iris).

Danmachi offers the best (Hestia, Miach) and worst (mostly worse) of 'gods'.

Persona 3,4,5 for the best of humanity. But SMT series have insane power levels so not a good choice there.

Zettai Karen Children for asshole government.

Humanity in general impresses Aizen for their 'evolution', Solomon is enthusiastic about humanity for a different reason and focuses more on the results (idols) instead of the intrinsic value of constant improvement that Aizen believes in.

...uh, about that? Totalitarianism works pretty bloody well if the ruler is:

1. Strong
2. Competent
3. Intensely Benevolent
4. Immortal

I agree that taking a look at all the places things have gone horribly wrong would be a wise decision, though...Code Geass, in particular, would be a good option.

The Immortal bit is a very good point.

Solomon could have done well with Immortality, but then again he was deeply unhappy so if he snaps then... well, see Fire Emblem for all mad king examples.

Well, Solomon and Aizen already balance each other out a bit so there's that. Aizen likes how they actually progress and make new innovations all the time, while Solomon loves what they've managed to accomplish.

These are all great worlds to visit too, thanks! Maybe something like Danganronpa for a mixture of how people can be absolute assholes, but also how hope can come out of even the most mundane people? Danganronpa also has this great theme of even almost absolute talent not meaning much in terms of morality, which Aizen would appreciate, allowing him to be more pleasantly (possibly) surprised at how some people like Naegi and in-island Hajime manage to bring people immensely "better" than them together.

I think this quest has turned from GET ALL TEH POWAH! to Help Aizen be a better person/leader. With powah. UNLIMITED POWER!

I don't know much about politics/ideology so thanks for that info. Yeah, I think we're basically trying to help Aizen do a kinda Lelouch and take over the afterlife to make it a better place.

ALL ABOARD THE HYPE TRAIN!

Edit: UNDER LORD AIZEN'S LEADERSHIP UNHAPPINESS SHALL BE RESOLVED AS BEST AS POSSIBLE! THE AFTERLIFE WILL PROSPER!

... *GASP*
I did not expect that, what a twist!
On another note, that makes Kariya more likely to attack you when he's in pain and stuff.
Think we can pull of a quick BS "I was the real Tokiomi who was kidnapped and impersonated the whole time) followed by using Kyouka Suigetsu under the guise as an illusion breaking mystic code (oh the irony!) to "break the illusion" that the impersonator must be using. Then we kill him. In front of everyone. Then we can HALP KARIYA AND SAKURA! (Edit: ALL ACCORDING TO KEIKAKU!)

That is literally all we talk about nowadays.

A quick question...

How does Magic Resistance (servant skill) and innate resistance to spiritual interference from cycling juice through magic circuits interact with Kyoka Suigetsu's Perfect Hypnosis?
