Attribute Points upgrade your Domain.

Pokémon have 3 Stats: Power, Magic, and Speed.

AP can be assigned to your Domain to give a bonus to all Pacted Pokémon.

For example, a Charmander with 6/7/8, if pacted to a Trainer with a D-Rank Domain with AP assigned to 2/2/0, will have 8/9/8.

The upgrade applies to ALL Pacted Pokémon, as a global effect, in addition to whatever specific bonus is given by your Domain, if you restrict it to certain types of Pokémon.

Example of what Hunting does:

Let's say you roll a d100 for Encounter, with a relatively dangerous zone where <=50 is encounter, <=20 is boss encounter, and <=5 is a legendary encounter.

If you have a 50% correction, rolling a 40 allows you to pick whether you want to transform your normal encounter (40=encounter) to a boss encounter (-50%=20) or to avoid the encounter altogether (+50%=60).
Huh. So the increase in attribute points is even better than I gave it credit for. Well, I'd like to propose officially declaring Domain the godstat. :V

Hunting does move up a bit in terms of my priority list based on that, though. Not quite enough to make me forego the quicker recovery times and better healing from medicine, but we should definitely have it be something either Gary or Leaf devotes some attention to. However, right now, +10% of the rolled result doesn't seem that strong, as it should only change the effective encounter tables by a few percentage points. I'd definitely prefer a more reliable recovery right now.

Pokemon are dangerous. We need to be able to avoid them and if that's not possible pick the weakest we can.

If a Pact didn't at least buff a Pokémon by that much, one Pact wouldn't be enough to keep a Trainer very safe at all, I think lol.

Granted, its purpose are threefold:
- avoid critfails
- avoid encounters when travelling
- increase your encounter "hitbox" in the event you're targeting a bounty Pokémon

since unlike the real PKMN game, more battles doesn't really do that much for you. farming combat is useless and does nothing but increase risk of injury and death.

Let's focus on not-fighting, instead of not-hunting-the-wrong-thing first.

[x] Gary's Domain
[x] Gary's Survival
[x] Leaf's Hunting

Domain to start with two Pokemon instead of one for safety in numbers, Survival for that massive boost to camp safety so that us/Leaf don't get ganked in our sleep, and Leaf Survival because we can cover for her and it's the least punishing malus.

Yes, this does put Gary as strong in the skills that Leaf is weak in so that we can really have teamwork make the dream work.

Edit: Eh, on closer inspection it looks like Hunting for Leaf is actually the least punishing malus. I'mma switch to that.

So DnD conventions with small = harder to hit?

Else it would be too skewed to large pokes.

I imagine the balance factor on fuckhuge pokemon is that they are fuckhuge and eat fuckhuge
Also true. But also fuckhuge Pokemon will attract attention. So if you're travelling around with, say, 10 fuckhuge Pokemon... Believe me, your Encounter Tables will represent that.

On the other hand, fuckhuge enemies are typically gonna be Boss battles, so.

But tbh it's more to represent that big and heavy things *are* harder to damage.

This is new to me, so I hope everything turns out great! :D

Based on QM's comments it's going to be hard though.

This quest seems very interesting ! Cheers to my fellows Hivemind, hope we'll not get fudged up too much by the Dice God o/

I personally think better First-Aid is the way to go, after thinking about it.

Do my players insist on sustaining this tie because I present reasonably well-balanced options..? :') twice in the first 2 posts. gg.
