SMITE: Godly Showdowns

Alright, well I got back into the game a few days ago. Mostly just casual Arena with a smattering of other game-modes. Haven't touched Conquest, probably won't either since I just don't have the energy/motivation to learn all the stuff you should.

Anyone else still playing the game or returning? If so, feel free to add me. Name is the same, but without a space between. So HeavenCanceler.

Oh, and please tell me if anyone knows a casual clan where people just team up for fun. Don't care for Discord etc... so if that is a necessity I am not interested. The one I was in is about as dead as it gets, with the most active one having been present like 6 months or so ago.

Hey, I talked to you on the other thread on Sb too, so I won't bother with what I said there.

In regards to clans, is there anything in particular you want? I actually do know a group that may be accepting new members, but they're not that big, and mostly casual and play for fun rather than going heavy meta or being really strict about roles. They're actually the clan I used to play with, and still do when I can get my internet to work. They don't have Dsicord a requirement or anything (Though, they're open to using it if people want to, it's not not required, and they won't look down on you if you can't or won't.) If you like, I can ask them if they have space for someone?

Yeah, I am fine with a casual fun-time group. I don't really know meta anyway and more or less go by the recommended item tab and whatever feels sensible for the most part...

Awesome. Okay, so I have spoken to the group, and one of the guys is going to add you as a friend so watch out for that ^^. I'd say the leader, but the group is small enough that no one is really in charge, so it's more an association sort of thing. They're pretty friendly, and like I said, all about the fun, casual games, so I hope it works out for you. I may or may not see you myself at some point, assuming my internet starts being solid for long enough.

It's propbably gonna be SuddenlyBacchus, so watch out for that username.
 
Ah great, I didn't really have the time for it yesterday anymore, but I will give them a call today.

Edit: Seems like we weren't online at the same time yesterday and today I only played a little due to being busy with other things. Will see if we meet during the week at some point.

Alright, so just in case you have been talking with your friend @Talos, I have still been online but looks like we have been missing each other so far. I am still interested in a Clan, but I guess I will just wait until we get lucky.

Also, I found this interesting little video where someone was checking out the newest Patchnotes. Thought it may be useful for some people, and well it was kinda funny to see him go WTF at some of the changes.

 
So, I have been playing this semi-regularly since I last posted and overall, game is doing pretty well. While the servers are at times a bit overloaded due to the whole situation with Covid-19, the overflow of new players also means there is some serious growth potentail. In addition, there is a new release on the horizon in the form of Baba Yaga, so for anyone interested in this particular character, she is almost there.



In addition, I recently discovered that you can in fact record games just with inbuilt windows 10 programs. Not sure how many people are interested in that, but I was pretty surprised and quickly tried to record a match. Worked well, cut out a few nice parts and compiled them. Nothing impressive, just a little bit of Thanatos gameplay. Maybe someone finds it fun.



The first one I ended up stealing the Quadra sadly, was so focused on making sure Horus doesn't get away that I didn't think about it. The last wouldn't be that notable if not for the timing working out exactly so I that he reaches execution threeshold exactly when I land.

Windows + Alt + R starts and ends recording.
