Well, finished Dragonfall.

Charismatic Rifle dude with a trusty AXE for backup.
Later swapped for an automatic grenade launcher because That's Fine Too®

I almost always go for a charismatic something, dialogues fuck-yeah.

Is that proto-Laser rifle worth keeping or giving away on the Ares mission?

I'm leery on the whole "NPC favor" thing in exchange for what is probably a pretty good assault/sniper rifle (which my character is pretty heavily focused on) given how they weren't all the competent in the run, but I guess the favor could benefit from off-screen sudden competence given to NPCs and actually be worth it.

I gave up the rifle on the 'don't be a dick' principle. :V Also, my character doesn't use a rifle.

It also helped that those guys were pretty helpful to me once we joined forces.

A laser rifle's a laser rifle, fuck it. The favour is good because Bull and his team give you a valuable leg up on the Prosperity Tower run, which is a bitch and a half at the best of times. Plus the whole team approves if you give them the laser rifle.

The favor they give you is hanging yellow signs in the penultimate mission's Matrix. Its not that good. The laser rifle is better (especially with the autoreloader arm) because it sets people on fire.

Well, no consensus on this apparently. Are there any better rifles of it's type?

Not really a fan of giving up a weapon tree's Infinity +1 Rifle just for some help for seemingly non-essential favors, but if I'd eventually grow past the rifle then I don't have a problem giving it away.

It's at least on par with the top tier sniper rifles, and more importantly those are super expensive. 2500 Nuyen that you don't have to spend on your sniper rifle is extra cyberware or money towards the top-tier assault rifle.

It's part of the don't be a dick principle. Sure it's a cool toy. But, you don't reallly need it most of thentime. Unlessnyou play rigles.

I kept the Laser Sniper.

It's good, and someone had to start Bull down the path to being a crotchety old Decker with a Panther Cannon.

Security nodes in Prosperity building? Apparently if you want to hack thaumathurgical research floor combat is unavoidable.
Might be wrong though.
Try sending something to the labs.

I unleashed the creature, sent it to the research labs with the mage lady but I can't get the damn security office to open short of sending it to the labs. It's as if I only have one choice.

Try entering the labs after you finished hacking lady mage office.
Beware though I think it triggers combat, but hey you can go to security room.

Okay guys, final mission. I'm bringing Duncan, Racter but can't decide if I want to bring Gobbet or Gaichu.

But ... but ... weaboo power!

Then again she does have that insta-kill spirit totem.
